I was in Alaska once, in Denali Park, at a visitors' station with a ranger. There was a grizzly mama with two cubs. I saw her huge paws and how she dug a deep hole with them in seconds. We were four times as far away but the ranger made us go inside because of just what K Chris says here. They're even more aggressive when they have cubs to protect. They could have at least stayed in their cars to spare her some stress.
I agree with you. The people and cars are so close leaving very little space for the bear and babies. Also, the bear is so stressed out and so little space for movement that except for climbing that wall it does not have any choice. Not sure the babies will be able to make it ,i.e climbing the wall.
They should have stood still and quiet. The babies seemed scared and apprehensive. I follow a youtuber who is a professional outdoorsman in YNP backcountry. Quiet and slow always and never a threat. It is interesting to watch. Stan Mills.
Mama bears knows best babies have to learn they could climb better than us people should watch out for them and keep a safe distance dont scare them because that when mama bear with protect her babies like any mother would

Those people were about 4 seconds away from getting mauled if things would have gone south. That's how long it would have taken mama to close that short of a distance.

Baby bears learn how to climb almost immediately when they leave their den. It’s sad that so many people are focused on the danger rather than how everyone stopped their cars so a mama bear could safely cross the road with her babies. The naysayers will always find something negative to say. This encounter went fine: no one approached or fed the bears, and they all got safely across the road while the people had a rare and nice experience (with stories and photos to share). We assume animals don’t understand what is happening, but I bet mama bear understood EXACTLY what was happening: the humans had created a safe passage for her and her babies to cross the road and that she and her cubs are the center of positive attention. She also knows that as soon as she and her babies are back in the woods, everything will be normal again.
These tourists are oblivious to the reality of death waiting to happen when that close to a freak'n sow grizzly and cubs! They think because their behind or at the back of their car, that their safe. She would literally be on them before they could turn to run! How do some people live as long as they do!

That was a Kodiac Bear, not a Grizzly. They are both brown bears but Grizzlys are way more ferocious, and female Kodiacs actually like being around people. As long as you don't approach them or god forbid, run, then you should be fine.
These people have no idea that if a grizzly has 4 cubs (normally 1 or 2 if a good year) means there may not be much competition in the year to come on the food chain with humans. Earthquake, Volcano

Grizzly bears are mean when she's got cubs and these people are out of their cars. They are plain idiots to risk being mauled just for a picture that you can take safely in your car.
@@deViant14 In any national park you are told to stay in your vehicle. I take it you have never lived or been to a national park. You have no idea how dumb tourists really are. Literally witnessed so many Chinese people think it's cool to tell their kids to get as close as they can to a wild animal for a photo or to try and hand-feed them.
I saw the same thing in the smokies with black bears and their cubs. Stupid tourists trying to get as close as possible. Generally bears won’t attack groups of people that large, but push come to shove and a momma bear will fight with all her might.
