I think he's out of position on this defense since it's not a real 4-3. It's a 4-2-5. Perhaps a WLB who blitzes. He's got the range, speed, size. Move Edwards to MLB and Sanborn to SLB when they play 4-3. But most times they are in 4-2-5 defense which is a misfit for Edmunds.
Need a replacement for Braxton/ Nate Davis / Shelton AND Teven if not resigned .. almost your whole OLine needs replacement that’s unacceptable going into year 4
Can fix in one year. Three high picks (take two guards, a DT), center with #3 pick, FA Tackle, FA Center, with Wright RT. Jones, Kramer, Murray (OL leftovers) are serviceable backups.
Why can't Warren commit to Bears World in Arlington Heights? They'd have stadium, parking, condos, bars, clubs, shops - everything on property they OWN. Leasing downtown is nuts.
My opinion but I think most of us were cautiously optimistic of Poles the last off-season due to the #1 and #9 picks after lackluster drafts and FA misses. Year 3 was supposed to be the year he put it all together. Also felt he would finally invest in top quality Oline talent. We all now know that's the opposite unfortunately. Our goodwill and faith in Poles is completely gone across the fan base. Poles and his scouting team look inept in their 3 year sample size. Other than getting us out of cap hell, getting MAJOR luck from Lovie and his Carolina trade, ITS BEEN BAD and he aint it!!! HARD RESET WITH the GM and HC!!!!
Poles is every bit as bad, if. not worse then his coach who they fired. Bad team building, worrying about dbs and wrs instead of ol and dl. Im on the verge if selling. I sold on th Cubs in the early 00s after I t was clear they gave up tryong. I started watching again when it looked like the Ricketts were ready to start. I gave up on the bulls when they scape goated Thibs and im still waiting to see them actually try. The bears are on the verge of it. Year in year out they prove to be clownshoes.

No pass rush or blitzing , that's why the defense has been so bad !! Just a bunch of incompetent coaches and a GM !!
