What a task to do, building a house at the top of the hill is such is such a dream come true , for you Finn , and now is a reality , what an achievement and a fulfilment in your behalf . Well done , a hard working guy will become a home owner . A house with a view . 👍
A new house tradition also: the first items to bring into the house are rice, salt and sugar. These need to be there ahead of anything, before any furnishings even. It doesnt matter how much of each you bring but the container used must be full up to the brim. It is said to ensure abundance, wealth and for the coffers of the house to be always filled. Wouldn't hurt to follow the tradition.

The ritual is slightly different to the one we did when we started our house in Tagaytay, we placed the money, but also poured
chicken blood over the foundations. We will have a priest blessing the house after we finish moving in which starts in June
when we move from Iceland.

Yum letchun, lumpia, it's nice to share a little fiesta with neighbors and workers. When we built our house I brought back pastis and dry sausage, the guys loved it. We had an aperitif every Friday at the end of the afternoon, they left with their eyes wide open, which worried me a little because after they took their scooter to go home. Of course we also put pesos at the foot of the pillars and sprinkled plenty of holy water from Lourdes. Be well
Nice! I think it is better also you start planting some fruit bearing trees after your house are done constructing for future source of food.

I miss lechon so much Finn your not only building your dream house but also you build the good community to your neighborhood they been good to you guys! A suggestion to collect rain water to help to water the lawn, trees and the garden. is there a test for the quality of the cement going into the whole house? Looks like the plan is going good. Congratulations.
