One suggestion everybody. Drill a small hole in the base of the casting and use a bent paperclip to hold the casting. If the paperclip is loose just put a small ink in the end
Great rust technique, amazing results! Thanks for sharing! Question - How do you touch up say a fingerprint like is on the cap, do you have to strip it and start over or ?
Can’t find the rust effects anywhere in North America. One place that said they had it returned $ . Out of stock. Ak should send you a nice thank you note.
Jason, do you answer any questions on your channel?. I have asked several questions in the last 2 weeks and haven’t got any response???. Bob in Maryland
Please be very careful when sawing or sanding resin. The dust is very dangerous when breathed in. ALWAYS wear a dust mask or respirator and always work in a well ventilated area. Remember that the dust can hang in the air for quite a while after you have finished. I think you should always point this out when including resin parts in your video builds.
Subscribed to your channel today after watching this and 3 others of yours. I must say I have drawn more info from you than any others on YT. After watching this and then your "Old Garage build" along with 2 others of yours, I was disappointed in this vid and that one at 21 mins in, you showed a complete detailed shelf with all the different colored tools and such complete but did not explain how you got there in either this vid or that one. The initial black spray and wash is great but where is the detail coloring of the individual items on those shelves. A touch critical but that finish detail is what I am looking for in my own work.
Thank you so much for subscribing, I'm so glad you find my videos helpful. Please watch the video called FOS garage for how to paint detail castings. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much!!! Just try to match the color. No need to start over. It’s acrylic paint so it covers well.

Foam rubber?
Sorry Paul, not sure about the question. If you could be more specific I will try my best to help. 👍
I should have watched this first , I just painted without primer and without wash , I promise wash prime and make a wash then paint from here on out.
Why not make the parts from metal and leave them outside for a while. Then you'd have real weathering.
