The hole for the pipe being offset near the rear is smart as it gives you added surface area for cooking. Far better than being in the center near the rear.
We just bought one, it arrived today! Five days from Norway; impressive. Can't wait for the first burn. It was obscenely expensive but I'm betting we won't be sorry. Hot tented all last winter with our homemade tent stove but we wanted something more portable with ability to control the burn. It's part of our strategy for keeping our sanity during Covid so it's worth the investment.
So rad🤙 you will not be disappointed. I also started with a ammo can stove I made, but it was heavy and hard to pack. Best of luck with your new stove🏕🔥😁👍
Someone who doesn't want a stove with glass? I love watching the flames slowly eating away the wood, to provide the heat I'm feeling; not to mention the infrared heat it's spreading, especially in a reflective tent. I think it's a beautiful little stove, and perfect for nearly any tent, and I also love the spark arrestor setup, and the high quality damper. But yeah, a light weight stove, with glass: that's a winner. Thanks for the review. Stay safe out there and God bless!
I love the idea of 3 windows, and the fact that the pipe is off center. More room for cooking and the coffee pot. If you take care of your gear it will last. Great video review 👍
You are right. Glass in that stove will never break. I have glass in my home wood-burning stove and it's been there for 20 years and it hasn't broke. If you use it properly, don't burn coal, it'll last forever. As far as bringing all the flashlights, yeah I bring three. I kind of live by having redundant equipment. One is none and two is one since I have three, I have two flashlights.
Another awesome in-depth review that we've come to be used to from you Jeremy. You leave nothing to the imagination you give an honest unbiased opinion which is what we need to hear. Thanks for sharing a great stove. Bushyboy Oz.
My winnerwell fastfold has that slight bow, it doesn't cause any problem. I took 10 inch from my flue to use as a brace around the fitted flue to top plate, it can free stand in the wind better but I always weight the flat stove feet down because the brace locks the flue so well the whole stove can move in heavy wind. Like the windows on this stove but I love the no fuss on mine. I would have probably bought this over my stove, the off centre flue is always good, but I bonded with my fastfold. Enjoy the stove.
Lonewolf 902 I forgot, I mean set up free standing with no stove jack supporting, the fastfold is secure through a stove jack, I had plans for using out of tent. This lead to the brace idea. Cheers, I do love that stove.
Id really like if these guys would consider adding a chimney cap to this stove with some guy out points on it for stability, and to keep the weather out when not in use. For the price premium they charge, its one little thing that could make a big difference. It would have me sold on this as the stove for my bigger tent
Nice stove Jeremy. Wish I could afford a titanium stove. I would like a stove with at least one glass window to see the flames, very relaxing and cozy👍🔥
Probably a good idea in reality in case it’s a poor product. Although, it could make for interesting cinema. You stirred interest in the product but unfortunately it’s not available. Keep up the good work!
The 3 little windows are awesome, perfect balance between weight and comfort. Did you have any issues with excessive rain and snow coming down the chimney, given the lack of a cap at the top?
Hi! I watched your video and it was super helpful before I set mine up. One thing I could not get right was inserting the chimney. I didn’t understand how you got yours to be secure. I tried to use the adjustable metal ring to cinch it tightly, but when the heat started rising from my fire, the thing heated up, deformed and fell off. The stove is so efficient and hot, it took an hour to finish burning off. Can you describe how you installed yours please? :( I really appreciate your videos! I have a gamma 4 with inner tent🙏 thank you kindly.
That stove is designed almost just like my winnerwell titanium stove. I don't know if it was made by the same company. The only difference is that yours have a window and mine doesn't. Great review!
1) I think panels with glass are supposed to be more resistant to warping, right? 2) In a video i saw many years ago the person used a handheld camping torch to pre-temper (pre-colour?) the metal. Back then i had no idea what he was doing that for. Would that be a good idea to prevent fingerprints but faster?
What is the size of the hole on top for the damper? I use an elbow for my stove so the pipe is on an angle for my tent design. Some stoves don’t have the same size or have the raised piece on top and don’t work for me. If the size works this is my new favorite design. Windows on a fast fold, good size and the offset on the flue hole is in the corner I need to position it in the tent properly. Thanks for another thorough review and good advice. I like this thing 😊❤️🇺🇸❄️☃️🛷⛺️🌄
Lonewolf 902 thanks I have to check if mine is 3. I need to run the galvanized elbow I burned in for the stove jack position on my tent. I like this stove , it’s now on the top of my stove lists for this tent. Thanks

@@Lonewolfwildcamping Thanks. I just ordered the T1 mini. It's a Fastfold stove and only weighs 4.4 pounds, if I recall correctly. Upon further review, the T1 Mini is 4.9 pounds. I could be wrong but I think it's a tad bit larger than your signature stove, but not by much
I wonder if the stove pipe had something to do with the defamation of the top during the video. As the wind buffeted the pipe it bulged the top up in the middle. Shortly thereafter the wind pushed the pipe toward the front pushing the bulge back down. I wonder if a slower first burn would decrease the amount of defamation to the body. Bringing the temp up slowly allowing the metal time to acclimate to the heat. What do you think? Have you tried it or heard anything about it? I can see were the 3 rib supports in the top and bottom would be beneficial in this regard. A plus or selling point for the Pomoly brand. Particularly the T1. Robust is best in my opinion. 1mm. You can't go wrong with that. Sorry, I didn't mean to stray from the stove at hand. ❤❇🏕🔥🥓

Thanks for the review! If anyone has purchased this stove directly from Nortent and had it shipped to the US, could you tell me if you had to pay import duties?
I've just taken delivery of Nortent's Ultralight Titanium Stove and it's a different version to the you use in your video. The top and the base are made up of two halves and fixed together with a row of little nuts and screws. My initial impression on seeing this is I'm not happy. There are raised ⅜" joints, top and bottom internally that will get in the way when loading with logs or sticks and furthermore when clearing the ashes bottom raised joint will get in the way and will interrupt an attempt to drag the ashes out from the back of the stove. I can't see the benefit with this type of arrangement or modification even if it's to reduce warping. I'm disappointed to be fair. What do you think?
I might have missed this piece of information, but what is the circumference of the pipe? 6inch? Will the pipe fit inside a double insulated pipe, intended for home use. Would be a nice back up for emergency. Was -20 degrees here last year for two weeks, my furnace just could not keep up. Would be happy to hear your thoughts. My house is insulated, but is built on telephone poles.
how would attach a guy line to the stove pipe on this stove? it seems like other stoves have spark arrestors or rain caps on the top of the stove pipe where you can clip some sort of guy line anchor to it. Looking on nor tents website I dont see any attachments for sale
Hi, and thanks for a great informative video! I'm new to hot tenting and also really appreciate your other videos on the topic. Have you used the stove in any other video since the review? Any new learnings? I was wondering if there is any risk of leakage of smoke from the arrestor slot? Thanks!
