i believe like the wind was a demo recorded and submitted to the german radio station and the singer quit which explains why we haven’t been able to trace them, then again don’t know if this is true.

It’s funny how the most famous Lostwave song is one that’s still unsolved and proving the most difficult to find. But if “Everyone Knows That” has already been found and has led to multiple discoveries in quick succession, I have hope the authors of “Like The Wind” will be found in due time.
I got into Lostwave just a couple of months ago because of a video on “Like The Wind” and I’ve just fell into a rabbit hole with it…there’s something so fascinating about music whose origins are lost to time in an age where we have access to so much information ready at our fingertips.
I thought EKT already found.

I think a lot of people will eventually be "let down" when they realize we had the answer to TMMS a while ago, and just didn't want to listen to it. (Billy Knight confirming Alvin Dean made it.) Kinda the Edde Edman effect. Once the community makes an artist angry, suddenly the community doesn't want to believe/listen to anything they have to say. They're just the angry musician now. Even when the musician is the one who's right, or actually is the original artist of the track being discussed. Happened with Edde and Feels Like A Wish. Happened with Billy Knight in relation to Alvin and TMMS. As soon as he felt people were disrespecting him and he got angry, everyone wrote him off.
These people don't owe us anything. But Billy Knight gave us the answer. "Alvin made it."

I mean yeah.... Even with ekt, the reason why the song finding took this much time was carl92 wasn't cooperative and we only had a 17 sec clip... And even then the song was found like in 4-5 years... But... For TMMS, we have the whole song, Lydia being a very active member of the search and the search going for more than a decade .. still we aren't able to find the artist .... Truly the final boss

Greetings from Poland.We also have such a song in Poland(Małgorzata panecka -kto tu jest niewinny. Who is not to blame? A famous singer. she apparently changed her name. Radio apparently has this song, but not digital versions.
As far as I'm aware the polish lostwave group actually contacted the radio station but they need to buy 3 licenses (?) to legally get access to the full song. One of them is 1000 zł which is obviously expensive for such a small independent group of people. The song is technically found (the exact length, the singer, the songwriter, the album where it comes from, which is partially lost btw) but we don't have the public version available right now. The radio station promised to play the full song a few months ago but they changed their minds
with lostwave's finest songs getting found left and right, i have more hope for this song than ever

It aired in Poland on a local radio station HIT about two weeks ago! It was an audition called "Known and less known stories", where they basically talked about the whole story of this song. If I happened to walk into the kitchen a couple moments later, to hear this playing out of context, I'd lost my freaking mind...

Honestly my top 3 lostwave songs to be found is Blind the Wind, Forgive Forget, and Ulterior Motives, now that one of them has been found it's only a matter of time for the other two
TMS/LTW is really the final boss of Lostwave, everything after that is either: Post-Game, or Side Missions.
What makes this search so hard is that the lyrics are so ambiguous and difficult to determine. If we were able to more easily determine the lyrics, we would likely find the song quicker. I agree that Albin Dean is a likely candidate of the song’s origin. His voice sounds so similar.

Part of me doesn't want it to be found. It being mysterious is what gives it it's aura. If someone finds the song, it will cease to have that niche and just become another song. And, also, the chase is always better than the catch!

Has any German content creator done videos on this? It’s great for us English speakers to know about and look, but this is a song that was almost certainly never heard in America so Germans may be more likely to know the song.
Only can think of the 1.31 million subscriber RUclipsr CreepyPastaPunch whom's videos often resolve around mysterious stories and things found on the internet. But besides that I can't recall any other large one from my head. (Not saying that there may not be others who did)

They solved A Day With SpongeBob, they found the Humpback Hop, they found some of Sailor Mouth’s uncensored cut, we can find this. Yes, it’s not lost on me that some of the biggest media searches are all SpongeBob.

(to be frank i am not 100% sure with the last part bc his voice blended close with the music there, but he is saying "suff'ring"(with the accent he didnt say the er part) instead of "subways" like ppl claim, and it makes more sense with paranoid anyway in the suffering of your mind, as it fits with the theme of the song, which was made before the fall of the Berlin Wall)

The picture of Phil Collins & Tony Banks at 3:28 made me really happy, because Genesis are my favorite band. I knew the synth on TMS sounded familiar, but i didn’t know for sure if Banks used the same one until this. I know their style is very different from a lot of lostwave, but i hope my comment makes more people eager to check Genesis out, they’re very good & mean a lot to me :)

I believe it was done by George Dalambira (Alvin Dean) and was originally recorded with S.I.M as a demo. What was heard on the radio is Dalambira's song, but not the Statues In Motion demo
There's a RUclips channel called num212.The channel posted a video of TMS,and the description say,The sun will never shine.He also is German(Proven by the description.)
Yeah, it’s fake. The title says 1982, which is impossible. The synth sounds used on the song weren’t available until 1983 at the earliest. It’s a fake “source”.

something i find so shocking about TMMS not being identified yet is that way crazier finds got identified before this one ever did. something that comes to mind is 'Ready N' Steady' by D.A, which people weren't even sure existed because even though it always topped the charts when it was released, nobody had actually heard it, nobody could find it and it was coined a phantom record and lost for over 30 years, and yet that still eventually got found back in 2016. we have the entirety of TMMS, which is theorised to have come out in the decade right after Ready N' Steady, and yet a song that literally nobody had heard ever in three whole decades got found before this one did. not to mention how we've already found so many songs that literally only had 2-3 seconds of it available online. that is absolutely unbelievable to me.

I doubt it will help, but there's a song on the radio, sung by a girl, and the melody sounds a little like a music box, whose melody strong resembles this song's. It's a popular, mainstream song from at least the 2000s, perhaps the composer of that song also worked on this.

No it’s not. Blind The Wind was something a German teenager wrote down as the name of the song because he didn’t know it, and interpreted the first lyric as blind the wind.
Blind The Wind doesn’t make any sense in English, and after analyzing the audio myself, I can comfortably say it’s “Like” The Wind

At this point in time so many people revealed their transcripted lyrics and even I myself tried doing so at some point, just from listening it over and over again.
And I'm very very very sure it's English and 99.9% of all those transcripted lyrics are very close to each other with mostly 2 or 3 lines varying due to them being harder to understand.
It would be very weird if so many people from all around the world came the almost identical lyrics just for it to not even be in English in the first place.
If it was a demo tape, than it should at least be written on some log or something, even if the original tape may not exist anymore.

I have one of the most insanest theories out there. This song is performed with german accent, right? And do you know which accent is indistinguishable from german accent? Russian accent. It may be a demo of some underground rock song from USSR (performed on English because Soviet youth back then considered English language to be extreme hip and cool so everyone used ridiculous anglicisms) that accidentally slipped through Iron Curtain and ended up in West Germany.

One correction is that Alvin Dean's real name is Yiorgos (George) Kalabiras. The problem is that after Statues In Motion broke apart he left Greece and possibly migrated to Australia according to Billy Knight.
I'm a big supporter of the Alvin Dean theory but it leaves a lot of ifs and other questions open.

@@jordy2x_ I think he just got fed up dealing with people doubting him. The last thing he said about the song was "Alvin made it." Didn't try to take credit for the song himself. Or for SIM. He credited Alvin. I think he knows it was Alvin's own side project. And he admitted it. And just nobody wants to listen to him. But that's the answer. Someone just needs to find Alvin.
