- Shigaraki Gets Reincarnated As Deku’s Student #MHA #Shorts #Manga, Did Shigaraki REALLY Get Reincarnated? Towards the end of My Hero Academia after the final battle we met a character who reminded EVERYONE of Shigaraki, with all of the same features and Black Hair. In the end we learn that this was a person whose quirk activated when he was young, causing his entire family to stop treating him nicely as they locked him in the basement and even sewed his mouth shut to keep him from screaming. Now this is horrifying, but eventually his family ran away during the Vigilante Deku arc, and luckily for him he was released from his house thanks to the destruction caused by the final battle against Shigaraki. Now after getting out he wanders into a public street wondering why everyone else is so happy when he couldn’t be, and for a moment he puts his hand out activating his quirk, likely about to do some MAJOR damage and cause another catastrophe in Japan just as everyone is rebuilding and getting back to normal.. But instead, we pick up with the Older Woman who ignored Tenko during Shigaraki’s flashback because she found him creepy. This lady see’s this boy and has a flashback to that time, wondering if that boy ever got any help and not making the connection that that was Shigaraki. This time, she says she’ll follow Deku’s example, as she reaches out her hands and says Granny is here everything is gonna be okay, saving the boy who we see in the Final Chapter attending U.A, proving that the future everyone fought for, came true.

Rather than reincarnated, I think it was a boy who was about to BECOME the next Shigaraki Tomura, but the granny this time prevented it from happening.
I also agree, this is more of a case of someone being given a another chance to do something different that will have a more positive outcome than what they first chose all those years ago.
Grandma redemption arc.
That's a good light novel title
Took her long enough 💀
This is gonna make me cry
This little side plot was the author's way of saying this is what it takes to be a hero you don't need superpowers you just need to be a good person
And good people get dunked on the hardest more than anyone else.
@@wholesome_masochist4113which part of the story says that?
@@wake6000 It's not directly stated, but it's shown on more then one occasion. Deku, wants to be a hero in spite of being quirkless, his best friend proceeds to bully him to the point of trying to get him to off himself for over a decade. Gentle, tries to help someone he sees falling, the hero then proceeds to ruin his life, relationship with his parents, and future so he ends up as a villain. Dabi, also wants to be a hero, and isn't allowed to even train with his quirk in the slightest when endeavor of all people could've tried for some support equipment, and then throws him to the damn wayside the moment shoto is born, and later triggers the ice quirk he always had but was replaced for himself. Tenko Shimura, gets beaten within an inch of his life for daring to want to be a hero, and then his father attempted to fucking murder him when his quirk activated, (granted it did kill his sister and mom, but still trying to beat your obviously distraught son to death isn't the way to go) and then after the fact was looking like he just got out of a week in the Somme and passed over by dozens if not hundreds of people who figured "oh a hero will deal with this".
@@wholesome_masochist4113 damn you really thought about this? i agree tho
And yet people ignored this and continued to complain and then went on to say that Deku should have become Superman cause that's what "a real number one hero is"
Damn, that grandma not only ignored shiguraki and caused the events of My Hero, but she also survived every event in the story, and old age
And somehow she looks the same as she did when Shigaki and her first met
Is she related to the late Queen?
That would explain her longevity.
@@Fiveweinersto be fair it’s hard to draw the difference between a 70 year old and like 83 year old 😂 Since shigaraki is early twenty’s and was a little kid when he met granny
AND she redeemed herself by stopping another Shigaraki from being born. Good for her.
Maybe she has a similar quirk to the doctor that lets her be essentially immortal
The lady didn't need superpowers to stop a possible villain. She just needed compassion and empathy.
Her lack of both caused the deaths of thousands. Tens of thousands If Gigantimachia's rampage through those cities was absolute. If anything, she should be labelled a villain herself by the logic of MHA.
That's like saying the dude who didn't shoot the Austrian painter is a villain, how was she supposed to know 😭
@@AZA_muku honestly it’s not that she didn’t know. It’s that she didn’t help the kid. Despite knowing he had it tough she ignored him.
@@AZA_muku Okay I got a good laugh outta this. But time to get the hammer dropped on you harder then the Skyrim Giant Express flight. You mean to compare _hitler_ to this lady? Buddy the deal with Hitler is that he was a courier and often not exactly in the trench charging suicide runs. Not to mention it was world war 1 at the time. This lady sees a child coming down the street looking like he got isakai'd straight from the Somme, and said "screw him, a hero will handle it" before All for One shows up. You cannot compare the two. Especially since if anything, the prime minister of France at the time (Georges Clemanceau I believe his name was) happened to be all in for saddling Germany with the blame for WW1 despite it being an Austria and Serbia problem first and foremost after a serb killed the leader of Austria. All in all, the allies set the stage for world war two, and it bit them all in the ass. So don't even try to compare someone that just got out of a losing war and straight into the great depression and someone who lives in perfect peace time, the era of fucking all might, and still decides to be a shit person. Especially when people know their history
She is not the only one tho@@jameschristopher2540
I think it's like a what-if scenario. What if that granny had helped shigaraki all those years back?
She prolly would’ve died to his quirk
@@justinmathis7707Or AFO
AFO would have been really furious and kill her out of pettiness
Or the whole series would've had no shigaraki as the main antagonist.
no shit@@asifishan1221
shigaraki's destruction technically saved that boy
Seems like shigaraki can save someone and he never gets to know.... so sad....
In a way, he kinda saved himself, by saving someone who easily could’ve ended up like him or just as dangerous depending on what his quirk is
@@lordacronix999I think he knows... He did say villains need a hero of themselves... He knew his people looked up to him.. He knew spinner did...I think deep down he knew how much he meant to his league
Yeah just at the cost of dozens of not hundreds of causalities
Shigaraki's whole goal was to rewrite hero society, making sure people like him wouldn't have to grow up like that again.
I think he's more of a mirror than anything. Showing what could've happen to Shigaraki if fate and destiny was kinder to him
Me 2
Dont let history repeat itself use your mistakes to become a better person for a better future. That's what I believe is the message horikoshi is trying to convey
Everything repeats over and over again. No one learns anything, because no one lives long enough to see the pattern.
In real life it doesn't work like that and also I never liked how horikoshi treated his manga as a video games
That really seems to be the case with the Shiguraki and other villains. Well, all the others. They needed help, and instead were scorned and shunned. While a tragic past doesn’t excuse what they did, and most would say Toga was an ugly, horrid monster that deserved a fate worse than death, the villains say the heroes aren’t real heroes. Heroes and society failed them. Some seem to have learned, and may offer them the help these broken people need to get better. Help that last villains didn’t get. While they may be remembered and hated as monsters, any would-be villains may get a chance they didn’t.
@@lightningboltct4156so are you immortal or something?
@@Saulnotgoodmen yes I’m the immortal vampire king form adventure time
I hope hori reveals the mysterious boy quirk in the final volume extra pages. Black goo seems dope and dangerous
Probably some kind of acid
@@oklord6415maybe it's some sort of expanding, growing acid or mass that destroys things, like if it was gonna become another catastrophe then it's gotta be something absolutely horrific
I thought it was some kind of blood/plague/zombie manipulation, something that could cause death and destruction on a large scale
Could also be akin to Cassidy Kleetus / Carnage, I'd hope so since we havent seen a quirk like it yet, guven the plethora of Spiderman references.
To be honest, I kinda find him as the "Seek" from Doors
That's fucked up. They sewed his mouth. And abused him so much. I hope that family got retribution and i hope there's a side chapter for this kid to be happy.
Maybe Shiggy or Spinner killed them during their rampage 😂😂😂
You can briefly see him in the final chapter on first page, on same panel with the boy deku saved (forgot his name), he's smilling and attending UA as a student
@@watdehanwait really?
@@kwayneboy1524 yeah, you can check it it’s him
Grandma redeemed herself. I love how the boy went on to go to UA
I think I'd really like it, if she didn't connect the dots.
There is something refreshing about a character that has done a mistake in the past and rather than getting hit with a clear and obvious karma bomb, she just looks back at her actions and thinks "Yo that was fvcked up. It was a child and rather than checking up on him, I ignored him. I will do better in the future"
Instead of fully realizing her mistake, she learns the more important lesson of being kind to others who’s going through a really rough time, and showing them compassion
Thinking more on this, if she knew that boy she left was Shigaraki, the lesson wouldn’t have stuck as well as her just abandoning a boy to wallow in his misery.
either way, I really love this moment, and I didn’t even realize the boy she did save showed up in the final chapter, becoming a student of MHA, thats awesome
That's exactly what happened? She didn't know the first child was Shigaraki, only hoped a hero saved him, but wouldn't wait for them this time.
@hotmamma2126 My mamma in christ, I wouldn't know, I can't finish most of my list due to work 😫 but thank you for the confirmation.
Not reincarnated as both him and shigaraki were alive around the same time
Edit:did not expect this many likes
Metaphorically
“Methodically” bro sh*t up, that’s not what reincarnated means 😂
@blueflare4139 ...no, that's stupid lol. He himself is a metaphor of them not fucking up a child again but he's not a reincarnation. He's a successful attempt at rewriting a wrong for the old lady I guess, but you're pushing it if you're calling him anything more than that lol
@@ihavenonamestilldonthaveon8970 I’m talking about the title of the video that’s what all this was about smart ass💀. I clearly understood what the story was doing for that kid
I don't believe he's Shigaraki's reincarnation, but I remember a story about reincarnation that speculated that if it's real and time is non-linear, than it should be logical that two of your incarnations exist at the same time. (and that everyone is actually the same person.)
For evil to prosper, it takes good people standing by and doing nothing. This may have just been the case of showing another Shiguraki could’ve happened. But after all the strife everyone went through, it seems some of society learned that those broken people that would become villains, need help. They need a guiding, gentle hand to help them heal. That’s what all the villains among Shigraki needed. And where are they? All dead, and likely will be hated and remembered by most as monsters that deserved fates worse than death. But here, we see a change where a new wave of would-be villains get the help their predecessors desperately needed.
And the moment spinner exposes that hypocrisy in his book, he'll likely run into "accidents" and his book burned. After all, that's exactly the sort of shit hero society would do after all, it wouldn't last without forcing people into villain roles to prop up the heroes.
@@wholesome_masochist4113not gonna happen at least not in the current era since the public safety Commission which were very corrupt behind closed doors is being lead away from that to a cleaner more morally sound future with hawks leading the charge towards change and a more fair system that gets rid of the system that turned heroes into glorified celebrities and returns the term hero back to what it originally meant
I heard someone say that there's a few good people and a few bad people, but most of us are just people and can be swayed one way or another depending on the circumstances and I think that's what rings true here. If you stand by and ignore the suffering of others when you could've done something without putting yourself at risk, you aren't a good person. It doesn't make you the scum of the earth, but people have a hard time coming to terms with not being good people or with the fact that they've hurt others. Actions have consequences, and inactions do as well.
@@wholesome_masochist4113you seem to have a very warped view of what MHA shows by the way. I’ve just been reading through a couple of your comments.
In a way, Shigaraki and the rest of the villains he worked in tandem with was inadvertently heroes to would have been villains. They changed things to a point history won't full on repeat and other shunned youth won't turn out like them. Hence, My Hero Academia. Everyone was a hero to someone, somehow.
Granny could have literally saved the world if she took care of shiggy 💀
Only if shigaraki doesn't disintegrate her by accident
Granny would be killed anyway and he still become a villain
@@ram47863Don't forget that AFO planned everything with shiggy
Nah, AFO would have gotten rid of grandma too. Shiggy never had a chance with a psycho so obsessed with OFA
Guess you can say the final villain inadvertently became someone’s hero on accident, cause if he wasn’t the villain that boy wouldn’t have been able to be free
The league of villains were all catalysts that lead to change, all victims taking their anger out on the world, and the heroes who fought them go on to change it, so their tragedies won’t be repeated.
This scene was there to show that the world has changed, and Deku has managed to change the world for the better, and now people are helping each other, and making sure that the next shigaraki does not get born
This is an example of the butterfly effect, how one small thing can massively change the future. Just being nice to one person can really change the future
That grandma inadvertently saved that boy from becoming the next Shigaraki.
It’s like Hank Anderson said it best:
“Humanity never learns from its mistakes, Connor… This time it could be different…”
I want to see this kid's life, hope we see him become a hero too
Frfr i want a sequel about tye kid ahhhh
we actually see him going to UA with Kota in the last chapter
No reincarnation, i think its just showing paralels and also, what truly means to be an hero also.
That granny is forever that boy's hero, she saved him from a Dark Path with a simple, and yet, meaningful gesture
This felt like a more of a breaking the cycle moment than reincarnation. The kid was too old to be a reincarnation of Shigi but represents the victim of oppression that people with dangerous quirks go through at a young age. Basically it shows that Deku inspired change in people by having the same woman that rejected helping Shigi decades ago not make the same mistake again.
I feel upset for the fact that deku never got the spotlight in the end he deserved it but again it just shows how much cruel reality is ur never appreciated for what u have done
Same but I think what's more important is remembering that the spotlight never really mattered to him. He was always in it to save and inspire people and I personally thought he'd given enough and deserved a simpler more relaxed life after all that. The people that matter to him know and remember and that's enough for him.
I thought he was, he gets recognized by peeps the street and took All Might’s job as teacher of the hero course?
That's what Heroes should be. They don't do it for recognition, fame, money, etc. They do it because it's the right thing to do.
Deku saves the world gets sht on in the end
He did get spotlight, it was just that 8 years have passed and people have moved on
I love Hirokoshi ability to constantly draw foils between different characters and how we see people become better
This also goes into the theme of “everyone can be a hero” since Granny literally prevented Shigaraki 2.0
He's like, what should have happened instead of relying on just a small group of people to help instead of the majority.
(Nearly made me cry man)
This scene had made me tear up, all we ever need to do as humans is extend a helping hand and care.
I think it was like metaphor for a new shigaraki to be born, but the lady stopped it by showing him kindness.
If I'm being honest, that boy and shigaraki does look quiet similar, I think that he have the same tough childhood like Tenko when he's was a kid. thanks to that old woman she save that to prevent time from being a new. shigaraki successor. but no I think is shigaraki reincarnation.
That granny had more character development then the whole verse
Ngl if the Granny took in Shigiraki AFO would totally kill her, BUT the seed of heroism and compassion would be implanted into Shigiraki as a child.
grandma redemption arc? she gotta be at least 120
Or she was actually younger in her first appearance, but because Tenko was only 5, in his mind, she seemed much older.
She was not going to let another shigaraki be born. W Grandma
No he was Thanos snapped out of existence. No reincarnation possible
Not the Thanos Snap all I can hear is Midoriya saying “And I…Am…Deku”
A single act of kindness. Sometimes, that’s all it takes to save the world.
Rather than a reincarnation, I think it’s a representation of the cycle of abuse and trauma being stopped by one kind act :)
Shigaraki should’ve been the main character to begin with
His story is much more interesting and dark
And the amount of plot power ups he got definitely qualifies him for the protagonist role
Not everything has to be dark, you know.
@@kaylemathewcomendador6964 how dare you say that to me 😡
@@Kinger_of_the_circus Yes, I dare!
Honestly if that granny ignored this kid id be convinced that shes the true villain of MHA
This old lady just bring tears to my eyes when i see she regret of letting the boy (shigaraki) there, and rescuing this one, no fear in her eyes. Just carring more about him then herself
That dam bystander effect really do hurt people butt at least she broke the chain on this one
nah bro, this was just grammas redemption arc
I wondered if his family was ever punished and publically chastized....
Tbh I really like the ending. Everyone sacrifices to make the victory possible, especially deku who loses his powers and years later they thank him with a state of the art suit. And even this where people are inspired to do what they can to help others, is a good way reinforce the idea that all might presented in the very beginning
If we think about it really deeply, Shigaraki saved that kid. Shiggy is a Villain for all but for some, he's indeed a hero, like for that kid (even if he probably doesn't know that it's because of Shiggy that destroyed everything)
No, that would go against how reincarnation works.
The entire point of introducing him was to show that anyone could be saved from becoming a villain with just a little help (which is ironically how the league of villains csme to be, all of them grew up without the help they needed)
"Help they needed"? Bruh toga and Dabi both are walking examples on why "help" is overrated in that regard. At least in the world of MHA at least.
@@wholesome_masochist4113 Nah, Toga & Dabi could have been lead a good path if it weren’t for bad parenting. Let’s not treat someone as a villain just because of their powers alone. That dumb mindset is literally how Toga became how she was in the end.
@@wholesome_masochist4113did you…miss their entire story?
Deku inspired everyone, heroes and civilians alike to take action. Everyone got a happy ending and he's back to being a fanboy/supporter from the side. How could this be
I wouldn't say that Granny is the only one getting a redemption here, the one getting a redemption arc is the world itself. Granny is just the stand in for everyone being the greatest hero.
"Ah shit, here we go again..."
This hurts my heart. i know he isn't shigaraki, but im going to say he is cause this makes me happy he will be the hero Tenko(shigaraki) wanted to be when he was little
granny be like: lets change the plot a lil bit this time..wink..
Granny got a redemption arc
She learned the consequences of her former actions and saved the boy instead omfg I'm crying
Grandma is the real gigachad of the story after all
the crumbling of one flower led to the blossoming of another 🙏🏽
Now i think this is a better example to how anyone can be a hero than "i became a teacher and have to hide how miserable i feel and ooops, i got a super-powered armor so now i can be a Real hero again"
Um…is that what you got from the final chapter? Because dear god you need glasses
The message is great because it shows that one small act of kind Can change a person's life
I need their story together, idc if it lacks power moves or whatever, just need the wholesome story
*It's your canon's event!*
Granny: "Nu uh"
Heroes are not just people with powers, they're also good people.
She prevented a canon event, now Miguel O'Hara will hunt her down
Not first but also not last😂
Its so nice that people developing conscious as story progresses
I love the symbolic nature, there are several people that we could have done better by in life. We fell short and that's okay.
With time and maturity, we can correct our wrongs and do better the next time the opportunity arises to be a good person.
I hope everyone reading this becomes another's smile or happiness from the most simple of gestures
Stay blessed and stay prosperous guys ❤
Granny really did the All Might 😂
One simple kindness saved the world from another war
Tbh if Shigaraki Tomura does reincarnate then hopefully in that next life he does have loving and supportive relationships to keep him on the good path this time, would be nice after all the pain and Trauma he went through.
No, this is showing how the public’s view on heroes have changed. It’s not something to do for glory anymore. It’s a dangerous job that is done out of the want and/or need to help others no matter the cost. It also showed the general public that the heroes can’t do everything. That civilians can’t just pass off every problem to the heroes, partly cause it’s not as many of them left, but also because it can get out of hand very quickly.
I like that actually.
I guess that's one of the thing this series does good.
There are times in your life where you were such an asshole, but as you get older you grew wiser and realize that you weren't a good person, but that doesn't mean you can't fix it, sure you can't go back and undo your shitty behaviors, but you can at least be a better person for the future and take accountability for your past behavior.
That's my main takeaway from the Granny and Endeavor.
Bro cooked so hard he was able to conjure a theory where someone reincarnated when they are yet to die 😂😂
This is the only reason i keep trying to watch this show, like idk why but i just cant get into it, but then i see stuff like this and it makes me really like the message they are trying to portay, heros come in all shapes and sizes, and it doesnt take but one act of kindess to be one. Shit, well now imma try and watch it again lol
Or read it? I've finished with the manga which sparked my interest in starting to watch the anime again, excited to see everything animated
@@Katriella. I suppose I don't have any reason not too, sure why not ill try reading the manga.
The entire series of MHA is a showing of how, regardless of horrendous power, regardless of heinous intention... ultimately, you could move a mountain, but that doesn't make you a hero... what makes heroes is the ability to rise above their suffering, to rise above their past... what makes a hero is a heart.
This woman saved likely the country with a simple "I'm here"
I think it’s going back in time but this time there’s Deku and everyone else,ya know? So what I think and yes, this has changed his whole life and personality since he was a kid. He didn’t know what to expect and how to handle it as his parents hated him leading him to a darker side of the fork in the two path he chooses to follow the dark side but then he realizes that hes has more to offer as the grandma helps him stay on the lighter side of the path. 🤗This is amazing because what would become of this? Will the next generation be able to have villains and superheroes alike as their friends?
Damn you grandma! It's all your fault all this time 🗿
Bro the amount of pain he must be feeling when he talks he deserves better😭😭😭
I think it's part of the story we're he was just a random kid with the same path in till she helped him and gave compassion. Changing his future.
This scene should have been the last pages of MHA. This scene perfectly encapsulates the themes and message of the story, that anyone can be a hero regardless of who you are, that you only need compassion, empathy and kindness to change the life of others and that what it seems to be a small act of kindness may have ripples that change the world. The kid is indeed a Tomura analog, he is foreshadow as the next big villan having a similar backstory as Tomura. However a crucial moment changes his story, instead of being left alone, helpless, he is 'rescued' by a granny passing by and thus this simple act of kindness implies the kid won't be the next Tomura, because this time the small, hurt boy who needed the most help really received it thus changing not only hisnlife, but the course of history.
A little kindness can save a life and even save the world
It shows some kindness can change something so big.
I think it shows that a small act of kindness can change someone’s life 🤷
I like how not only is he a UA student but a student in Deku's class.
Also reminds me of a piece of fanart where that kid and Kota are paired up for their final exam against Deku in his power suit and Deku calls them newbies just like All Might
Sometimes, just one person being there is enough.
I love how the messages is that even the littlest things and anyone could save someone maybe even multiple people in this case
GRANNY YOU FOOL YOU COULD'VE SAVED LIVES WITHOUT KNOWING!
At least she did it this time.
Shit got me tearing up. Kid just needed someone, anyone to give a shit about him.
He got the treatment shigaraki wanted
The real heroes are those who show kindness in daily life and prevent people from becoming villains in the first place, because unlike the heros who fight them, they are also able to save the villain
That old lady came through in the clutch
That lady is some type of important piece in the universe lol
Grandma had some character development fr
A little kindness goes a long way. You can save a life so let's learn from this.
In a society where everyone believes in one pillar, one person and one group
They do not feel they need to do anything "the heroes will take care of it"
After the arc, society now shifts towards "we all need to help", "we must take care of it"
the writer way to say that " words and actions can help someone who suffers depression "
That granny straight up save the creator of MHA 200.more chapters
On but I need his FULL, ENTIRE, backstory, along with his quirk
Kid Tenko....so cute ❤❤
He is basically a parallelism with Shigaraki, its not a if scenario, it's simply expose that anyone can become like Shigaraki and that a small show of empathy coupd prevent it.
Damn now she,s the greatest hero of the next generation
He wasnt a reincarnation (he was alive the same time as shigiraki) but it shows that shigaraki's messege of "people wont help cause they take for granted that heroes always will" did sink in and society was changing for the better.
😢 when shiggy dances he gets jiggyyy
😂
So we shouldn't expect someone else to do our work for us, the old woman made a mistake in the past of not lending a hand to Shiraragi when she could have helped him and she regretted it then and now she helped this boy who is also was mistreated by his family. We should never wait for someone else to be a "Samaritan" for us if we don't when we are given the opportunity to help someone in need then we will regret later that we didn't do it sooner and it will even lead to consequences , so we should never ignore those who are in trouble when we have the ability and opportunity to help them. Therefore, one should be a hero to those whom one can help, even if it is just one, it will be enough.
