Hi friends! What are some other questions you have around technology/coding/future tech/career etc.. let me know video suggestions! :) Thank you for your support! I love our community!
"AI is not a service, not a feature. It's a tool. There are different skill gap between those who can master it and those who cannot, especially in graphic design field now" - Penji 😎 We definitely talk about the same things
Absolutely, Penji, your perspective hits the mark. AI is indeed a tool, a dynamic force that can significantly impact various fields. Its role goes beyond being a mere service or feature; it empowers individuals with a new level of creativity and efficiency. The skill gap you mentioned is pivotal - mastering AI can be a game-changer, particularly in dynamic areas like graphic design. Our alignment on this view reflects the changing landscape where those who embrace and harness AI can excel in ways that were once thought impossible. Kudos for highlighting this shared perspective! 😎👍
Absolutely right! AI isn't just a service or feature; it's a versatile tool that transforms industries. From enhancing efficiency to unlocking insights, AI empowers us to tackle complex challenges and innovate in unprecedented ways
I agree with you @dotpenji! As AI continues to disrupt the IT industry, it is crucial for IT professionals to future-proof their careers by developing new skills, cultivating human skills, and staying up-to-date with industry trends. While AI may automate some tasks, it also creates new opportunities for creativity, innovation, and problem-solving. By embracing AI as a complement to human intelligence, rather than a replacement for it, IT professionals can stay relevant and thrive in the AI era.
I am retired but still learning the latest tech in Full Stack Web Development / Data Science & Machine Learning and much more. It is really an exciting time to be alive!
Thank you for reminding people of the importance of social and soft skills. They are important arts that are being slowly diminished in our culture by technology. It's often lost on people that those with quality interpersonal skills are often hired and promoted over those with lesser skills.
I just attended an AI conference and saw a great speaker describe it as Thinking vs Thunking! Thinking is the idea, Thunking is the labor or tasks that must be completed to bring the idea to fruition. AI is making thinkers more productive than ever by removing thunking task barriers.
Great video once again! This is exactly what I keep telling my coworkers - AI is not the end of the world, it's just a tool. They've been acting like the rise of AI spells doom, but I see it as similar to the first hammers. Those became essential for human progress rather than something to fear. AI can improve lives too if we guide it ethically. Just like hammers augmented human capabilities, AI should enhance people rather than replace jobs if we're wise. The early history of basic tools teaches us to focus on the benefits of new technologies. So I'm optimistic that with the right vision, AI can empower society like those early hammers did, not overwhelm us. It's all about how we choose to use and direct this tool going forward.
Honestly a lot of these tools help save time wasted troubleshooting or debugging proprietary quirks in each of these tools. Most people would rather be creating new things or solving complex problems rather than dealing with react or typescript quirks for example.
You’re so inspiring! I’m working on my soft skills, and you’re a very good example. I can tell that from the interviews you had with guests. Great job!
Hi Tiffany, I was learning web development, but i stopped the moment I learned that AI can write codes. How can I survive it when a job that would have required 10 people now probably will be done only by 3 people? I mean...
I would like you to make a video on how to start up career in computer science, the best career to start before going into other skills... like cybersecurity, machine learning, data science and programming/coding
Great video, @TiffinTech, both for the timely topic and also the engaging video edits. Am wrestling myself with the questions you posed about being a generalist versus specialist, and if a specialist, a specialist in what? Clearly, those who understand and can design, develop/implement and use AI technologies are going to be in a favorable position for the foreseeable future. But it's also a big decision and no small investment of one's time to "retool" your own skillset and experience in order to ride the next big wave. One thing to add is that IT professionals can wear both hats as a generalist and specialist. In the Project Management Professional curriculum (and elsewhere), there is mention of "T-shaped" people who are valued on projects because they have both technical and subject matter expertise/depth in a particular area, yet who are also wide enough to interface well with others on the team who are experts in their respective parts of the project.
Absolutely essential topic! 🌟🤖 Future-proofing our careers in the AI age is a must. Can't wait to hear your insights on staying relevant and valuable in this rapidly evolving landscape. 🚀
Developing hard skills is now more important than ever, whether you're a specialist or a generalist. If you don't adapt to new languages and or technology, you will run into issues at a later stage. So, invest in your education and hard skills instead of pushing on a bunch of buttons and use all the 900 AI tools...Fundamentals and problem-solving skills are so important and precious wich these tools take away.
@@TiffInTech We will learn with you, as learning never end. I call it a Compond Intelligence approach. I apply it in my work space and doing wonders for me.
Right now I’m testing bard Ai as a Software Engineer and it’s so cool. I don’t think Ai will take over but I think Ai will be embrace and use for many things but never replace Programmers rather help them with coding which I love. It also can be use to make a programming language but Ai in moderation like with any tool is the best.😊😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉
Artificial Intelligence is the new electricity which continues to become more embedded in solutions which will enhance the way we design and implement solutions, services, etc. , so we must continuously adapt to remain relevant, and not redundant.
I like to start a project from scratch and do 90% of it manually. Currently, I have the habit of comparing my code with code generated by AI, and I analyze if there's anything I can improve to optimize my code, like advanced features that I'm not yet familiar with.
Thank you! And great question. I have been looking at online courses that offer certifications. I notice that Coursera has a ton. I have also been looking locally at schools for post grad programs. I think that is a good way to level up and also network.
I have recently started to become a Software developer and my boot camp will start soon, can anyone suggest is it still a good time to be a software developer . Share your thoughts please.

Adopt and learn . . . . . Good point

It’s super cool!! It’s actually a tool called locofy that connects to it

Im just learning how to code and its alittle dishearting that something like chatgpt can code better than i can its like why even bother starting.
Hi Tiff. Great video! Thank You. How would you suggest someone become an AI Specialist/ Expert?
Thank you! And great question. I have been looking at online courses that offer certifications. I notice that Coursera has a ton. I have also been looking locally at schools for post grad programs. I think that is a good way to level up and also network.
Tiffany, I really do have a thing for your videos. And bout developing soft skills, that's all I'm up doing. I follow you on IG too❤️
Awesome! Thank you! That means a lot!

I think the problem is that knowledge work is under attack right now.
What do you mean knowledge work?:)

💕💕💯thank you!

best way to future proof is to focus on fundamentals.
You got it!
If artificial intelligence doesn't take jobs away, do you think coding will be oversaturated in a few years?
AI won't replace jobs but a person using AI will replace jobs.

yay!! Hope you are having a good week!
"Tech" and "future-proofing" cannot go together in the same sentence IMO
wow you talk fast. What makes you the expert?

hahah thats fair - just go chill on a beach!
Then you can join all the homeless drug addicts on skid row 😂😂
Don’t be naive, no one is “AI Proof”
This video could be made by AI to trick us humans..
Ouuuu this would be tricky!
Coding will 100% be taken over by AI.
