Bro take the sale early on… mark the beat as (sold) to create more demand and later when the channel is big you can refuse to sell exclusives. I think anything over $500 is worth selling early with only a couple thousand plays. Keep up the great content bro !

Try offering those artists interested in the exclusives unlimited leases instead, a lot of artists will take that deal if the exclusive isn't available or they can't afford it. And definitely charge closer to $400-$500+ for the exclusive, especially with the potential this channel has!

Mit Exclusive halt schwierig. Vor allem weil du ja dann trotzdem noch Anspruch hättest auf Royalties. Finde bei einem Artist mit Potential kann man darüber schon nachdenken.

I have good placements but last months I changed my view on exclusives.
If you can lock in with these artist and keep selling exclusive beats to them in future - go for it. and try to sell bundle of exclusive beats so you make more money and they get more value too.
But keep beat on youtube even tho t sold.
Sometimes big views dont even bring 5 mp3 leases sales. And after you sold a beat - you feel more motivated, so sometimes its better to get a good deal and cook some more heat!

If they do drop consistently - you can try to get sales every month or something like that, so its gonna pay off on long term if they blow up + its gonna pay off on short term because they always bring you money super fast, not like big labels when you got placement and can wait a year before it drops haha
@@flintleap3658 I totally agree. The big placements do provide a lot to your value to your brand, but relying only on making it on an album etc. is no smart business move imo
200$ for a beat is crazy, sounds like a smart business move tho to wait for better deals if the channel keeps growing

You have to be realistic. Music Production is so oversaturated and if artists actually hit you up about exclusives and are serious then you can't pass that up
I would have taken the exclusive sales especially in the beginning, if your doing a beat a day then you shouldn’t be focused on leasing every single one, you will have plenty in your catalog that don’t ever get leased, if your starting out, or the beat has been sitting for a while and barely performing always sell the rights, you will make more beats right?
Yea I do think so aswell. If you have a high output and a bit catalog, it’s a good choice.
It‘s also way easier to make 1k a month if you sell a couple exclusives rather than trying to sell 50 leases

i been in the same position n didnt take the exclusives. not taking the deal is a risk and short term loss fs, but it just means ur confident in ur prospects for long term success

hey man can i ask you what the negatives are to selling exclusive rights? did they ask you to take down the video after you sold it to them, or does that just mean you cant sell the beat to anybody else? if you dont have to take down the video why would it be negative for your channel? thanks for the help brotha
It’s not negative for the channel but for the sales. You‘ve to view it from a business standpoint. A wav lease is $50. If I got a beat with good views that has 10k views and someone offers me $200 exclusive, I can not sell any leases anymore. If I sell 5 leases I got the same gross without having to give up the rights. This is all business calculations

Hab gesehen, dass du aus Deutschland kommst, wie machst du das mit der Steuererklärung? Hast du dich als Privatperson selbstständig gemacht oder hast du ein Kleinunternehmen angemeldet? oder machst du das einfach so und hast gottlos keine Angst vor dem Finanzamt :P
Ein Kleinunternehmen kann man in dem Sinne nicht anmelden. Du meldest ein Nebengewerbe als Einzelunternehmer an und machst dann von der Kleinunternehmerregelung gebrauch. Du übermittelst dann eine einfache Einnahmenüberschuss Rechnung an das Finanzamt, da du ja keine Umsatzsteuer abführst

Iam Not Money hungry but i think thats why its good to make exclusive Deals only for more than 2.000$ because evereything under this makes no sense- when this are the Best one and We have to delete evereything - We have to go higher with the price

selling a beat for 300- 400 € in an exclusive is totally ok considering youre uploading every day.
