This is really Beautiful and I definitely want to make one. Thank you so much for sharing, the tutorial, the free pattern and the larger sizes. God Bless You!
I’ve been thinking about a fall sweater & your pattern popped up in my suggestions & I immediately watched the tutorial & I’m so glad I did! The sweater is so cool & looking at it, I would never suspect it was so simple to make! This sweater just bumped 2 projects off my “next project” list. Thank you from a new subscriber!💕

✨Free Pattern - Elevation Sweater - forthefrills.com/crochet-elevation-sweater-free-pattern-video-tutorial/ Check out the free crochet sweater pattern! It has all the sizing info (sizes XS - 3XL), measurements, yarn amounts and alteration instructions ☺
I used stitch markers to keep count of stitches without having to do much work I'm also adjusting it a bit, gonna make another one only longer too I'm also using one skein of the hobbii mega roll yarn
Splendid. A simple and yet beautiful design. I used Lilly (viscose / linen) yarn (from Hobii). And I decided to add a little length to the body. I’m almost done, one sleeve to go. I already know I’m gonna looooooove wearing this sweater. Thank you! 🥰
Thank you! I used 4 skeins of Lion Brand 'Touch of Mohair' All info for all sizes XS-3XL are in the blog post :) - forthefrills.com/crochet-elevation-sweater-free-pattern-video-tutorial
Great tutorial! I'm making one in an emerald green wool right now! Just wondering how you'd recommend to steam and block your panels. I'm new to crochet and am unsure what this term means. Thanks!
Oh the emerald green sounds lovely! Here is an in-depth tutorial on blocking - ruclips.net/video/HeaD4Qn0U3g/видео.html It helps your panels to be a rectangle and for the sweater to fall nicely on the body :)
This sweater is really beautiful !! But I am French and I did not understand if on the first piece you need 19 or 90 chains. Thanks for this tutorial !
esta muy linda la chompa un gran favor yo lo vi el año pasado y este año quiero tejer y no me encuentro el video completo me podrías decir donde lo puedo encontrar por favor
Has anyone tried this with Red Heart Super Saver? I don't have any yarn of the weight she suggests so I am hoping I can use up some yarn I have already
also, if you don't want the back to be a v neck as well you can sew it (the back two panels) all the way together and when attaching the tops of front and back panels just skip the V part on the front. works just as well!
Hi, If you use a different weight yarn you'll have to change your hook size and that will change the gauge. So your sweater will probably be a lot bigger! Grace
I finished the sweater a couple of days ago and I really like the shape. However, the sleeves were a bit too long for me. 😅 Otherwise thank you for this tutorial 🤗
I know you said crochet 90 chain stitches to start. Should the panels appear pretty long at first??? I feel that my panels look very long. Beautiful pattern!
Hi Sara, if you check out the blog post you can find all the measurements and check your panels to them :) The panels should be equal to the length of your sweater.
Hi June, you might be able to get away with it but I'd recommend swatching to see if you can meet the gauge. If so, follow the pattern as per normal Grace :)
Hi, if you change the hook size make sure to check your gauge - if it doesn't meet the gauge in the pattern I'd recommend using the pattern as a guide but create a sweater to fit your measurements as using the exact stitch counts might make the sweater too large.
I spent weeks making this jumper in the XS size you made in the video and I can say it is NOT a size XS!! Its even too big for my partner who is over 6 foot. Its a beautiful jumper but the sizing is all wrong and it was quite disappointing after all that work.
Hi Jessica, It sounds like you haven't meet gauge - always make sure to crochet a swatch and check your gauge before starting your sweater. Also all the measurements listed in the blog post for sizing. Grace :)
Thank you! I used 4 skeins of Lion Brand 'Touch of Mohair' Full details for all sizes are in the blog post :) forthefrills.com/crochet-elevation-sweater-free-pattern-video-tutorial
Hi there! I am currently making this sweater. Your tutorial is amazing for beginners (I am used to crochet amigurumis, but not clothes), so I'd like to thank you for sharing your amazing work :) I was wondering how to sew the back of the sweater. Is it a V shape too? Again, thanks a lot! You have a new subscriber :)
Hi Claudia, I'm so glad you find the tutorials helpful :) The back of the sweater is also a v shape but you can make the V low or high depending on the fit you want. A lower v will make the sweater more off the shoulder while the higher v will make the sweater sit higher on your shoulders. Grace :)
@@forthefrills i had the same question, so thank you fellow viewer for asking! And thanks for the forthrfrills for your reply! I also really like that there isn't ribbing at the sleeves and bottom of the sweater and the beautiful simple neckline!!! Great job!!! Another new subscriber.
I am creating a sweater, using you tutorial. But i have a doubt will that neck remain apar after sewing it the way you did. Please someone guide me with this.
Is anyone making this in a small? I am and I would like to know how wide your body panels are. I am using a thicker yarn so I had to adjust my row number. I just want to make sure mine are wide enough. Thanks.
Hi, Lion Brand Touch of Mohair is an acrylic mohair blend and its a DK yarn so its not the same weight as a single strand of mohair! I recommend substituting it with another DK weight yarn but if you want to use a single strand of mohair, I'd recommend holding it with a weight yarn and always swatch to make sure you can meet gauge :)
Hi, I would personally classify this yarn as a true DK/8ply weight yarn. I always suggest creating a swatch and checking gauge before you start your sweater!
Hi Alyssa, I think this sweater took me about 8 hours to crochet but it completely depends on what size you make and how fast you can crochet! Grace :)
wow incredible i will definitely be making this but i have a question: would i just wash this as usual or would that damage the sweater in any way? and how much yarn did you use? thanks so much for your amazing patterns, there so easy to understand and i love them! thank you!❤️
Hi Natalia, washing instructions depends on the type of yarn (what fibre etc.) you are using. Just follow the instructions on your yarn label and you should be ok :) All yarn yardage info is in the blog post - forthefrills.com/crochet-elevation-sweater-free-pattern-video-tutorial
Ohh my gosh this is beautiful! I definitely need to make this for fall and winter.

Is it okay if i use 5 mm hook?

hi! amazing work! Just wondering what the back of this sweater looks like?
same as the front; a v neck as well. so it's reversible
also, if you don't want the back to be a v neck as well you can sew it (the back two panels) all the way together and when attaching the tops of front and back panels just skip the V part on the front. works just as well!

Would it be a huge problem if I do not steam and block the panels?
Would the back panel be a v-shape too? Considering it says make 4 panels and not 2 front panels and 1 large panel for the back
I came here from your blog page!!!
Hello! The measurements are for the finished sweater. So if you'd like a more fitted sweater pick the XL or for a looser sweater 2XL :)
