Possibly yes but I haven’t tested that. Filter papers are near on identical in shape, so I cannot see why a metal one wouldn’t fit, unless there are specific grooves stopping it. Thanks for watching!
Cup selection controls grinder how much coffe to grind and you can stop brewing anytime with start stop button if you dont want too use all water. I just got one today. now need to buy much more coffe beans :D
Thanks for the review! I would have a question as I’ve just purchased exactly this model: When setting the timer (with coffee beans) my machine grinds the coffee but then shows me an F-03 error code, which means the ground beans are not falling through. However, when looking at the filter holder, the coffee is in there and if I then switch to a ground coffee programme it makes the coffee normally and very much to my taste. For some reason, it just doesn’t complete the coffee making programme after grinding the beans, although the coffee reaches the filter. Worth mentioning is also the fact that I only seem to have this problem with the timer; when starting the grinding programme myself, no problem occurs. I had filled the bean holder with the amount of beans for 6 cups and not more - should I be filling the bean holder completely, even if I don’t want to make that j coffee at once?
Interesting and thanks for sharing! It's odd it only works when using the timer function, like it's a bug and faulty, and perhaps worth chatting to Melitta about. In terms of beans, I only ever use the amount I need and then keep the rest in a air tight container to keep them fresh :)
@@TechNuovo thanks for your reply! That’s my plan too, which is why I’m confused as to why this is an issue… I also forgot to mention that this is the second new machine I’m trying out, I had bought the same model 2 weeks ago, had the same problem with the timer and asked for a replacement. Now I got the replacement and still have the same problem, so I was wondering if there’s anything I’m doing wrong? I will however write to Mellita as well 👍🏻
Hi there, thanks for the review. I see you needed to use the snooze button to get 40 mins for the hot plate. Is it 20 mins before it shuts off itself? My current Russel Hobbs one is 40 mins by default and it then shuts off.
Hi. I believe the default was 40minutes on the hot plate, but 20 and 60minutes are available too. You need to hold down the stop/start button, then press the M button to cycle through and select.
Love this review! Where is the thermo can? In Norway it looks like it’s not glass but thermo steel? (Which I like as even I might not need an extra thermo can to poor it over in? Saving time) Oh, it says brewing time is 8 minutes?! That sounds like long, is it longer than other machines?😅
@@TechNuovo If Google the machine you see they are in steel! (Or maybe just in Europe😳). But I’m hoping for steel as then another step to skip to not poor it over in one:)
What is the point of allowing you to make 10 cups to keep warm, if you can only keep it warm 60 mins. How can drink 10 cups in that time? Can you leave it two hours, turn the hotplate back on, then come back in 15 mins to get another hot brew?
I didnt even know there was a pro version! We've not had one to look at but at quick glance, looks like the differences are a removable water tank, changes to the timer function, potentially more options for coffee intensity, more options for length of hot plate.
Love the fact you can have this sitting, waiting for you for when wake up, great review!
And it smells good too! ☕️
2:56 I think the number of cups set is used by the grinder to determine how much coffee to grind.
Yes, correct! Didn't explain that very well, got a bit muddled up.
Decent reviewate. No fuss, no nonsense and well presented.
Thank you for checking out the content and the kind words!
Thanks for the review. You make me buy a new machine like this😂! Great video!
Thanks for watching! :D
Based on an old Melitta machine I had, the cup number is for the amount of coffee used. As you say the water always gets used in full.
Great review! Do you know if a reusable metal filter would fit in the filter basket instead of filter paper?
Possibly yes but I haven’t tested that. Filter papers are near on identical in shape, so I cannot see why a metal one wouldn’t fit, unless there are specific grooves stopping it.
Thanks for watching!
Okay cool, thank you!

Can you please tell me what's the difference between Melitta aromafresh 2 and aromafresh pro x?
does the grinder work with the timer

Oh no, second one already :/
hmm, off the top of my head, I dont think you're doing anything wrong.

Something that nice needs a pause feature to allow the coffee to bloom. Can you manually pause?
Good question and I didnt try it but yes, I think you can manually pause it with the start/stop button if you wanted to.
Hi, How many centimeters is the height of the product from the ground? Thank you
Total height is about 45cm i believe.

We got a glass jug with our review model, not sure there is an option for a steel one!

Can you use without filter papar?
Unlikely, chances are you’ll get coffee grounds in your cup of coffee
The old version difference is only less settings grinder but £100 pounds less. Is it worth paying more?
You'll likely get a very similar coffee out the cheaper, original model. So it may not be worth paying more unless you want the new look.
Whats the main difference between this model and the Melitta Epos model?
Visually very different but at the core, they do the same thing. Grind, filter, produce coffee into a jug.
@@TechNuovowhich one do you prefer?
Thank u SO MUCH 4 this. Now...how can I get it in the U.S.....hmmmmm🤔
Surely Melitta are available in the US?!

I guess the option is there if you have a big family or it’s at your workplace. All other times, make less cups 😊
@@TechNuovocan’t believe you had to explain this, smh

Believe the Pro version, which I’ve just ordered comes with a metal, double insulated jug.
Is the water tank removable?
No, it’s not removable

hiii! I’m having problem in setting up clock for automately coffee run. Is there any way to show how you actually do it?
You mean to set the timer for automatic brewing in the morning? If so, I cant remember off the top of my head but its certainly in the manual.
How hot is the coffee ? Thanks
Specific temps, I cant recall but its hot, too hot for me to start drinking straight away and the hot plate kept it at that temperature too.
Anyone have issues putting the grinder back in? Just got my machine and can’t get the grinder to click back into place
