There's lots I could say about how good this video is, but I'll just mention one thing. Unlike most other 'best settings' tutorial, you don't only tell us the best settings for you, you also tell us what all the settings do, allowing us to make up our own minds depending on what we want, which genre of photography/videography we're doing, and so forth. I wish more tutorials were like this. Thanks, Simon.
Thank you! Some more compression adjustments on your voice would allow your word volume range swings (loud and soft) to be easier to hear. You have fantastic narration voice, but it is very difficult to hear if there is any other noise (such as my fan) in the room, because within the words some portions are too loud and others are too soft. Maybe the compression timing and release need adjusting? I hope this helps.
Thanks for your favorable and helpful review of the Camera Control button. You're only the 2nd RUclipsr I've seen who didn't spend all his time complaining. Instead, you answered most of my questions and I now feel like it will work the way I want it to. Meaning I'm much closer to buying the new iPhone. Apple should give you a cut of my purchase.
Wow! By far the most comprehensive review I've come across ✅✅✅ Q: I've seen a number of reviewers complain that the Camera Control introduces camera shake! But that's what everybody complains about the on screen shutter button!!! I imagine a lot depends on how you hold the phone and how you press/squeeze the control? Any comment? Wot? No Wood Green haha!!!
thanks Will! Of course any pressing or poking of the phone will cause it to move, unless you have it on a tripod. But with the camera control, you can press the shutter with both hands still holding the phone, so it should be steadier. Pressing the shutter on the screen, usually means taking one hand off. Well I got Ally Pally and Lordship Recreation ground in!
How do I select where the slowmotion should kick in ? If I select the 25 like you did it will start with that from the beginning of the video, how do I make it play at normal speed for the first part of the video and then later have slowmotion kick in ? Or if I want normal speed at first, then slowmo in the middle and then normal speed again at the end, I dont see how I can do this with the sliders.
Oh well spotted! One is a short introduction to the story A Room of Dreams), the second is longer (A Race of Minds). The story isn't yet concluded, though. Thank you Ian 😊 🙏
@@HorrocksoniPhone I see that A Room of Dreams mentions that the film is available on RUclips. However, I've had a look for it without success. Is it still available?

Maybe my finger is insensitive but I can’t feel any sort of click as described with a half press.
Thanks Simon, really helpful introduction to the new 16 camera features - Find your videos so helpful

This is what I had been waiting for🙏🏻👍🏻
Always an excellent and lucid presentation. Thank you 🙏🏾 ❤
You are so welcome
I just came across your channel. It seems very informative and helpful. In your opinion, what is the best iPhone for video creation?
iPhone 15 Pro or 16 Pro
Thank you for another useful video. I noticed that you have some SF books on Amazon; which one should I read first?

Is there much of an image difference from the model 15?
not really

Great video

I don’t edit or use ProRes, should I keep hdr off or on?
HDR Dolby Vision isn't related to ProRes. Not all platforms support DV. Here's a video about it: ruclips.net/video/SgcrICnuZT4/видео.html
@@HorrocksoniPhone sorry I mean I use normal video and 1x main camera
