LYRICS: Beat down like a pile of junk Politically incorrect We knew he deserved the best, But he never got no respect Six kids and an empty wallet With a hole the size of a dime Not a dollar or a dream to boot He thanks God for a hell of a time Here lies the middle class What once was is now past Our forefathers spent their lives cultivating this? One man army born and bred Never cared much what no one said Worked all day 'til his fingers bled He was a one man army One day he bought a shotgun And went home and sat on the bed He downed more than a couple of drinks That put the 's' word in his head So the future is not so bright when everything looks so dim Then he thought about who he loves But thought more about who loves him Too much pain and no gain Suck the blood from my veins I work too hard to have you Take it all away One man army born and bred Never cared much what no one said Worked all day 'til his fingers bled He was a one man army I see red when you see green Kill us all when we turn 18 If opportunity ever knocked I guess we weren't home One man army born and bred Never cared much what no one said Worked all day 'til his fingers bled He was a one man army One man army born and bred Never cared much what no one said Worked all day 'til his fingers bled He was a one man army
Watching some old czw wrestling and former wrestler Lobo used this song as his entrance theme...had to look this song up and hear the full song...badass song.
The thing I like about this song is that a hardcore song called One Man Army sounds like it'd be about some guy who's strong and beats all adversity yadda yadda machismo etc. But this song is actually about perseverance and how it's natural to feel like the shit the world throws at can get to you. Also that fucking sax solo.
also dark due to the ending verse where the said one man army kills himself and the very impactful line after "i see red when you see green. kill us all when we turn 18. if opportunity ever knocks i guess we weren't home." it's a song with a pretty strong message.
@@MJHeavenBound I always read it as him refusing suicide at the last second, "he thought about who he loves but thought more about who loves him" "i've worked too hard to have you take it all away" I never actually thought he killed himself.
Yeah, I had that one too. I have no idea whatever happened to it. I was actually more disturbed/saddened by the dog picture. :( I like dogs more than people.

PRO PAIN... like this... Perhaps the most influencial band on myself ever... I even went as far as to have my license plates have PRO PAIN in Virginia back in 2001. I wanted to get them to sign the plate. That is most support I could give them. I was going to see them at a local joint near virginia beach but the place was closed down for prostitution and drugs, what a shame... Most of the other time they are in EU. Come back and put out another great tour Meskil I want to see the PAIN!!
Then he thought about who he loves and thought more about who loves him.. Most bad people aren't really bad. They know how to love. Problem most of the time is that they aren't loved.
i play7ed minor league baseball back in the day for the Rockford River Hawks in 2004 , I was drafted by the blue jays too i guess, but this was my walk out song my whole career. fucking love this song bra
I would have recognized this song in an instant. It would have made my day if a batter came out to this! I would have been talking about that for weeks, if not longer. Great choice, man.
When I was a kid I used to fo fuxking crazy listening to this. I used to run around myself head banging screaming ONE MAN ARMY. Yeah my mom said. SHUT YOUR DYXKING MOUTH. Nope... im still fuxking hyped listening to this getting ready to run around Mty house my kids are going to think I'm crazy
@PleaseKillPerry Well, if you never heard of the phrase the point is this Pro-Pain album was out before Hatebreed was a band. Its kind of like saying your older brother looks like you when its really you look like your older brother. Im not being a dick bro. its just every Pro-Pain song i listen to on you tube people always bring up how it sounds like Hatebreed! Rock on!!! \m/
I dream of listening to pro pain again.had this when it 1st came out.then turned into a fucking clone.a sheep! fuck that I'm back y'all! missed my peeps!
Ok so I'm from more the self title album era of Pro-pain. Let me say that it takes some major sized testicles to put sax in this level of metal. I... can't even...
@scheufele44 Im well aware of that. I was simply stating that this particular song reminded me of old Hatebreed. No harm done. Who shits yellow anyway???
3 seconds in, and I'm 16 again, waiting for the sax part so everyone can bust a move - while still being cool and metal. Classic!
The saxamaphone solo absolutely murders is... Metal Gold, totally underrated as a band, a song, and as an album....
ONE OF THE BEST HARDCORE RECORDS EVER!!!!!!
I agree, its good, but Pro-Pain is not a HC band. It is a middle speed metal.
fuck yes it is lol dude people missed out
it's right up there with Pantera vulgar album
LYRICS:
Beat down like a pile of junk
Politically incorrect
We knew he deserved the best, But he never got no respect
Six kids and an empty wallet
With a hole the size of a dime
Not a dollar or a dream to boot
He thanks God for a hell of a time
Here lies the middle class
What once was is now past
Our forefathers spent their lives cultivating this?
One man army born and bred
Never cared much what no one said
Worked all day 'til his fingers bled
He was a one man army
One day he bought a shotgun
And went home and sat on the bed
He downed more than a couple of drinks
That put the 's' word in his head
So the future is not so bright when everything looks so dim
Then he thought about who he loves
But thought more about who loves him
Too much pain and no gain
Suck the blood from my veins
I work too hard to have you
Take it all away
One man army born and bred
Never cared much what no one said
Worked all day 'til his fingers bled
He was a one man army
I see red when you see green
Kill us all when we turn 18
If opportunity ever knocked
I guess we weren't home
One man army born and bred
Never cared much what no one said
Worked all day 'til his fingers bled
He was a one man army
One man army born and bred
Never cared much what no one said
Worked all day 'til his fingers bled
He was a one man army
Forgot about how great these lyrics are.
Never gave a fucc what no one said
Watching some old czw wrestling and former wrestler Lobo used this song as his entrance theme...had to look this song up and hear the full song...badass song.
