Great video about a pretty interesting home! Inspiring to see that such a skilled person's work will live to tell it's story so many decades later. Certainly a good one to rescue.

Thank you. The traditional methods used to build these historic log homes are certainly inspiring and each one tells a different story about its crafter. This one is unique in that it found us, relatively close to home. Glad you enjoyed!

Beautiful video! I like how you present us a history figured out from the building. It's amazing how much we can learn from the logs alone! Thanks for sharing this with us!! :D

Unique header detail over the door, any ideas about the finished look?

The header shows a few different sized doors were fitted over the years. We’re still not sure what its next roof line will be.

How do you find someone that can build a Cabin like this? We are wanting to build a 30×30 2 story Cabin. We just had trees cut down and trying to find someone to mill our trees. Then find a builder. Can you help me?

Hi you can search the International Log Builders website to find a builder near you. Thanks.

You said this home was made out of Spruce, that's funny. To hear for the pros, one of the woods you should not use is Spruce. Here is a home built in 1939 and the wood is beautiful. Who knew?
