This might be the first time the RUclips auto translate thing actually translated a word instead of just repeating exactly what was already written back at me.
The year is 3049 and mankind is once again racing. The Inner Sphere had no clue that their demise was waiting just outside the Periphery. Without warning, the Clans arrived with racers born for speed. Genetically engineered drivers piloting awesome karts of war known as soapbox. Unleashing their military prowess, they fielded the soapbox IIC, a kart faster and more nimble than anything the Inner Sphere had ever seen. Their first target was the world renown track on Somerset, followed by the infamous and dire track known only as Pirate's Moon.
Came because RUclips recommended this (plus you were mentioned in one of the group multiplayer videos), stayed for the adorable dragon avatar and the entire Zeepkist community in the comments. :3
Weve come full circle, I was watching Dapper play and you were in his video for the Escape Memory map and i see Shivaxi in chat and I'm like, "no way... The Minecraft modder???" Lmao nice to see you've fallen for this cute little game too
Zeepkist is fun for what it is. Cute little somewhat janky soapbox racing game that's gonna feel at least a little familiar to Trackmania players. It has quirks and issues, but it's fun enough regardless and somehow keeps enough interest even 3 years later to maintain lobbies to join. RUclipsrs 100% are the reason for this. Basically everyone I've seen answer the question in-game says they picked it up because of a kAN video, or Dapper, or Kosmo or a couple others, so it's nice to see another show up to potentially bring the game to more people. My only real issues with the game so far are : #1 The Pricetag. It's not *expensive*, but it's asking a bit much for an unfinished indie title with a lot of jank to it. If it ever gets to a "finished product" state, that's probably fine, but it should probably be $10 at most right now. #2 The Music. It's been years and the game still has zero background music outside of the main menu and level select. Even very basic placeholder music would suffice. The pure silence other than some wind and tire screeching is rough. There's a reason every single RUclipsr puts their own background music in Zeepkist videos. I know it's on the to do list. But it released in 2021. I think the dev should have done something by now. #3 The UI when it comes to menus. I know it's got kind of an intentional theme going, but I don't think "Windows 98 Kids PC Game File Structure" is the way to go. It honestly makes it harder to parse what's what, especially in the Track Editor and when setting up Online Lobbies / Playlists. But ultimately, the pricetag is only an issue relative to what the game is. In a vacuum it's just $20 which isn't a big deal. The Music can be sidestepped by playing your own. It's not ideal but it kills the silence. And the UI is ugly but like anything else you learn it and it doesn't really affect the actual gameplay, so it's managable.
Price is perfect in my opinion, but I think getting on steam sales would help with popularity a lot. Yannic is a single dev doing this literally on his own during his free time. Building and playing others' maps is top tier. Best race map building game, the concept alone is better than Trackmania ever thought of being in my personal opinion. People actually play with music on in games? Turning music off is always the first thing I do in every game. I thought everyone did the same, I know all my friends do. Except in Wreckfest, real solid soundtrack there, but I play that once a year tops.
@@crayder1100I don't know anyone that turns the music off in games, everyone I know either plays their own music or just leaves it as is. I'm the latter, I always just let the in-game music play. I think the only game I ever play without the default in-game music is YOMI Hustle.
Considering I’ve paid $60 or more for AAA games that are full of bugs to the point where it feels more like a beta version and it’s not fun to play them, $20 is definitely good value imho 😊
I was just watching Kan’s latest video and noticed [pog]shivaki in the game and I just about lost it. Is that actually you??? Or just a coincidence what you uploaded a zeepkist video

It's pronounced Zeepkist.
you're just typing it grammatically correct, not how you say it. You say zapekist
@@Gon.Freecss whoosh...
there's a pronounciation guide somewhere in the menu, as an easter egg. :)
