    Very cool. Thanks for the heads up about the delay between commands and the lights working👍

      Haha, the delay did my head in to start with, as don't think it happens the same for all lights. Best advice is avoids the fades to start with as think these can mess with the timings a bit. I need to experiment a lot more with it

    Thanks a Great Video.Hows your car standing up to the weather and stuff? I've been watching your channel for a long time now.Perhaps a subject for a another video - just an idea...

    • @TeslaTorque
      @TeslaTorque  2 года назад

      I'm lucky that I keep it in a garage. So far....touch wood, all good. Tyres are still holding out well at 16,000 miles and no changes, all looks like even wear on them. I've actually done no maintenance since I got the car almost 2 1/2 years ago. Not even topped up the windscreen washer fluid, which is crazy. It's either a very big bottle or the rain is particularly clean around here. I was meant to do a cost of 2 years ownership video in September, but didn't get round to it, but it's been crazy cheap. I might do a maintenance video....although maybe very short :)

      Hi thanks for the reply, I'm hooked on buying one and trying to find reasons that I shouldn't🙃 kind of ...Test driving again next week.The new M3 RWD with LFP batteries has caught my imagination with its range and charging to a 100% etc - downside is cold charging.Upside its 8k cheaper than the LR and has a much better efficiency.All the Best.

    • @TeslaTorque
      @TeslaTorque  2 года назад +1

      It is a SR+, I ordered it when it first came out in the UK, but Tesla then changed the spec for SR+ after I ordered it, thankfully they fulfilled the original Model 3 order which had fog lights

    Hi liking your content, I’m a driving instructor and I’m in a fiesta all day, but I really want this Tesla as a personal/second car. Would you recommend leasing or buying the car? I’ll barely be doing more than 5000 miles a year.

    • @TeslaTorque
      @TeslaTorque  2 года назад

      Hi, thanks for the comments about the content of the videos. Its difficult to say where the market is going and obviously will depend on your finances, but currently if I was to sell my Model 3 on auto trader, its not far off what I bought it for over 2 years old. 69 plate with 16,000 miles, some similar are selling for £38,000. I paid £40,0000. Obviously I was lucky, as price has increased since then and second hand car market generally has improved due to chip shortage. But to have lost £2000 in 2 years on a brand new car is unheard of.
      Compare that to leasing of £400-£500 a month, its a no brainer if things remain positive, even with the price increase. (I haven't checked leasing prices recently, may be less).
      As I said though all depends on if you can afford to buy - I got a 3% standard bank loan, plus savings to buy outright, so I was lucky. In terms of maintenance that you may save by leasing. Tyres are still good after 2 years, no services (Tesla even said they don't really do much), its not needed an MOT, so you don't make savings in that sense by leasing. I haven't had any maintenance costs since buying it. (There are things you can choose to do, like rotate tyres for even wear, etc, but I haven't)
      Hope that helps - its a great car

    • @LogicPak
      @LogicPak 2 года назад

      @@TeslaTorque thank you for the detailed answer. It’s helped a lot and yes I can get around a 3.5% bank loan too, which works out cheaper than most dealership interest rates. I’ll look into buying it out right, but I think I can wait a month or two and see where the car market is going; the prices are definitely inflated right now.

    does doing this shorten or damage the bulbs in the car
    was there any thing said about how often this could be done.
    as switching on and off lights you would think you could blow a fuse or light with powering on and off at speed.
    if you take it you would not normally be turning on and off your main headlights so often or this fast

    • @TeslaTorque
      @TeslaTorque  2 года назад

      Hi David, I don't know for sure, as not 100% sure how the lights work, but I think all of these are LEDs, which I don't think respond the same way as traditional bulbs for this kind of use. I know I flash my headlights to let traffic through or say thanks, and the indicator will always flash, so don't think it will do a huge amount of damage if any. Plus, you will probably find you won't do it often, as it's a bit of an attention grabber, hence when I did it in a massive field :)
      Happy to stand corrected if anyone else has any idea?

    Nice work! The light show is cool but, as a fellow video maker and editor, I definitely recognise the great editing that went into syncing camera and drone footage alongside the original track. Very impressive!

    • @TeslaTorque
      @TeslaTorque  2 года назад

      Hi Paul, thanks, I think its under estimated how much time these thing take, so appreciate the comment, and that's why I've not made much recently. Been busy with jobs and study. I had 20 different angles stacked up in the end with multiple drone runs. I also had a mate that was running to start the light show every time. We also had to capture it in about a 15 minute window where it wasn't too light, but wasn't too dark 😂 (Not complaining though, as enjoy the challenge of making them)

    • @PaulsViewsReviews
      @PaulsViewsReviews 2 года назад

      @@TeslaTorque The synchronization of multiple sources is pretty good fun during the edit but definitely not a quick process. My RUclips content isn't especially complex but I have edited 6 music sync videos of my colleagues miming to big hits during the pandemic and they look super simple but take forever to organise and edit. Sadly, copyright means they'll never be for public consumption but I do enjoy it, regardless. Your videos are really good - keep them coming!

    • @TeslaTorque
      @TeslaTorque  2 года назад

      Yeah, I avoided a track that was going to hit copyright issues for that reason. I'm just amazed how good all the software is for editing. Premiere syncing up to audio is so handy, and also multi-cam for quick flicking between shots. I hardly touch the surface of the capabilities of Premiere, loving learning new techniques on it though

    Let's see if we will see this year the "model q or model 2" with a realistic range of 250 280 miles realistic range and new battery pack with a guarantee of 12 years or 250.000 miles and battery capacity 75 per cent after those miles! And we need a cheaper evs less than 25.000 pounds with 280 realistic miles even less even 20.000 pounds!!! And also we need real green energy and power and batteries recycling more than 95 per cent and able to be used for at least 3 or 4 more times,! Let's hope tesla or other companies are able to facilitate that in 2023 or 2024!!

    • @TeslaTorque
      @TeslaTorque  2 года назад +1

      I think you are right. What I love is how many green number plates I'm seeing on the roads these days now. Whilst I agree its not affordable for everyone yet, even without cheaper brand new EVs, the second hand market will be much bigger in a few years opening it up to more buyers. The future is looking good for electric cars and just generally less polluted roads, which as a cyclist I can't wait for!
