Thanks for giving us all something to look forward to every week. Love how Mike keeps the music fresh. Amazing how content is always different and sounds are always on point .
Had the exact same guitar which I bought in McCormack's Glasgow in the early seventies. I traded it for a 1960 red strat 53271, still have the strat. The walnut 335 belonged to the guitarist from the JSD band if anyone remembers them.
in my opinion lemmo gives the best reviews,he comes up with the most beautiful things ever, agnesi was good but lemmo has better feeling and is more of a modern player,we love him!!
Nice jamming! Need to get me a looper pedal. I've got the same guitar in the more common red color, but mine has the 'Gibson' embossed pickup covers. Bought it in 1980 from the original owner (my now brother-in-law.) Got the original music store receipt later from the wife's mom-n-dad. Pretty sure mine is a 1970 model, but it's hard to know for sure with the 1969 thru 1974 models as I understand record keeping was in disarray during the first years of Norlin admin. Great guitar and my first high quality instrument in my mid 20s. Some folks don't like the slightly narrow width at the nut, but it doesn't trouble me as I find it makes 'open' chords easier to play.
The Gibson embossed pickup covers began in 1972 and carried over to 73 until the inventory ran out. I have a 1972 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty that I bought new and it has the gold embossed pickup covers.
I had one of these for sale (Made January 1978) and the color was deeper and nicer than this and factory coil tap switch. And it sat there for sale for so long I thought to my self what is wrong with people.Am I in the Twilight Zone ? The guitar is so fkn good and I'm selling it for a good right price and the only reason I was selling it was because I never really wanted one of these guitars. And I already have a similar type of guitar made by a great luthier who made it with hand carved top back and sides instead of laminated woods..oh yes and with 1961 Gibson PAF Pickups.
Gibson serial numbers in the ‘70s don’t allow precise dating. You have to look at the pots to narrow it down, which is tricky to do with a semi-hollow or hollow electric.
I have an ES 345 that I bought used in 1979 that the guy I bought it from said it was a 1963 but to this day I still really don’t know what year it was made. It’s almost impossible to trace Gibson serial numbers.
Nice ! Seemed like everything was 'walnut' back then. Heck, a friend buys a mid '70s Gibson SG Special new as a late teen. His first electric. Cherry ? Nope, walnut (good guitar, better after a Dmz PAF SD pu swap ;) man, i had a Memphis 335, blk that was set up just like this....good guitar, set neck series. Seemed banjo'y with the 9's i'd normally use. 10's worked great.
Ok, so I absolutely love Lemmo as the GOTD guy; but I do miss Mark and Jen's "poopy brown" banter about guitars like this. Also, the guitar is gorgeous and I would do less than admirable things to own it.
Michael I'm not hating on you at all cuz you are an amazing guitar player but it always seems when you're not wearing all the Rings you play a lot better
That rendition of Supersonic and Cigarettes and Alcohol was really sweet
Jen and Lemmo are an Unbeatable Team! The camera work is on point and Michael’s playing is on another level!
been watching the videos for a while. Seems obvious that Michael Lemmo has developped a unique and strong musical style. Great to watch and listen to.
Thanks for giving us all something to look forward to every week. Love how Mike keeps the music fresh. Amazing how content is always different and sounds are always on point .
I've always loved the look of walnut ES-335's.
Me too! You couldn’t give these things away 7-10 years ago though. I wish I had bought 2 or 3 of em then🤦🏼♂️
Man, there are just some guitars you mesh with. From a sonic perspective you’re rocking it. Imho
Such clean sound out of that guitar, nice job Mr Lemmo !
This is identical to my number 1. I refretted with medium jumbo stainless steel. Nice to know Lemmo had one as well.
But why on Earth would he rid himself of a 335?
@@giannirocco7492 He’s a Fender guy.
I’m 71 and I don’t get around like I used to. These mini-vacations that y’all offer is just what the orthopedic surgeon ordered!

Love the look. Sounds good, too, in Michael's hands.
Lemmo showing so much respect for this instrument. Love it.

That jacket is period correct too : ) ace as always, thank you
that playing made me feel so good..
I sold those brand new out of my brother's music store in Tallahassee, Florida. I think I even sold a walnut 345 out of that era ...
the oasis riffs were so perfect
Lemmo, you are the man.
Lemmo la rompe, como siempre y más con la 335 !!!
AWSOME!!!!
My dream guitar

I have a red ES-335 that I bought in the early 70s while in the Navy/California. Past owner removed the pickup covers?? Are they available for sale?
@@gtnoslp You can find them used for $100-150 each.
@@jrsn2music just for the covers? Pickups are still there!
@@gtnoslp Yep, just the covers. They are rare and pricey.
AB763 Twin Reverb + pedals = the very best of everything. Just the only amp you ever need!
Great to see Mikey getting those head wobbles going....sweet playing
Always loved the look of a walnut ES-335! Awesome playing as always Lemmo! However! Gotta do a Maton!
Oasis getting some love. Always underrated.
My dream guitar ❤️
Michael is such a bad ass!!!!!
I know I’m late to the party but that’s some tasty playing!
Amazing!
Loved the Oasis suite on the bridge pickup!
That's a nice guitar. I always wonder why someone would sell such a nice guitar.
Need the money!!!
Amazing player - fingers crossed he looks after himself more than what the image suggests
wtf is this comment

SUPERSONIC!!!
Is this walnut color, or is it made of walnut? It is walnut stain on maple laminate 3 ply - correct?
Any reason you don't state the actual year this was produced? Either way beauty guitar and great playing from Lemmo.

i have one. stock pups were gibson embossed dirty fingers.
Gettin' LOTS of mileage out that first tune!
lmao
LEMMO , what looper are you using?
I'm in love with this guitar but more than that I'm in love with Lemmo playing ♡
Norlin? Beauty!
Yup, Norlin era.
Ooohhh… I want it
does anyone know exactly what amp hes using in this video? he said 60's twin reverb but a bit vague
Sounds amazing !
But I would have to settle for a Firefly.
Une basse…. Une mélodie… Micheal t’es le meilleur ! (Oasis pour finir ça le fait !)
Nice playing......price please???
Another masterclass. Thanks Michael.
Someone please help me know what song he’s playing at three minutes and 50 seconds!
Nice !

that one replaced tuner tho😂
Nice Oasis covers!
Get it on , T.rex...
Oasis!
No trapeze pls
I'm guessing you're a stop bar tailpiece guy...
🤪
Wouldn't Agnessi call this a "poop" colored guitar?

what a shill. you used to sell used cars?
