Now I know why Sephora has been having crazy sales that added up to 50% on them occasionally.
Not sure if it's new information, but the European site has a message saying they decided to close the website because they are restructuring and intend to relaunch later on... The optimist in me wants to imagine a future where the brand is relaunched, not losing scents, and adding more concentrated versions! 😍 The pessimist in me fears they will kill off the whole company... 💔

Yes , I believe that L’Oréal is destroying the brand because L’Oréal usually doesn’t care about the quality of the product. I see L’Oréal products in wall mart and the quality is average or less then average and usually don’t buy them.
I'll tell you more-I live in a small town in Europe. No AC for us in a physical store where I live.. So all of my scents I bought via their online store. Their online store is now closed, no shipping no nothing, just the message like "If you like our AC scents-please, continue buying them at our physical stores, but for now while we are re-branding,no sales online will happen".
I am absolutely stunned. I’ve worn vanille insensee for years! I’ve recently got into perfume and got myself a bigger bottle because it was oddly on sale. I suppose I’ll have to cherish it and stock up when I can.
Same here, could buy a vanille Intensee for almost half the price, this for 100cc. It is my second one as this is one of the best vanillas on the market

Atelier Cologne was the very first brand lured me into niche fragrances. They have very unique but easy to wear and natural fragrances. After I explored more into other niche brands, I found that they have below average performance and I always had to carry a travel atomizer to reapply them several times a day so I stopped buying them. I’m still sad they removed them from the US because of this sentimental reason and I still think they’re well made with reasonable price (especially if you don’t mind reapplying throughput the day). Lucky I still have a few of their fragrances and some in 200ml bottle: Rose Anonyme, Vetiver Fatal, Silver Iris, Mimosa Indigo and Encens Jinhae.
I knew something was up, since I was able to buy Vanille Insensee, Lemon Island, and Clementine California on sale. Their fragrances smell so natural to me.

Bummer. I LOVE this creative couple of Atelier Cologne and most of their scents! That is heartbreaking to hear of their loss. I met them as well while at my first Sniffapalooza. Sweet sweet people. 🥺 Atelier will be missed, a special niche, within the niche.

WHAT?! I have yet to find a scent from this house that I truly love enough to buy, but this is so shocking. So many people love this line! So, this is why Sephora always seems to have them on sale lately...

That is incredible. I just discovered Atelier fragrances this January in searching for scents that my daughter-in-law would love. I got lots of samples, got pretty excited, ordered travel sprays for her to try. Really enjoying the house. Citruses don't usually work on my skin but these are formulated in a way that they do. What a disappointment. It was so nice to be able to go into Sephora to the large Atelier display and smell all the different offerings.
I bought a back up bottle of lemon Island last year and now I’m so glad I did! I’m really bummed about them pulling out of the USA, I have really enjoyed all the colognes
I do own and love Mistral Patchouli, Vetiver Fatal, Gold Leather, Emeraud Agar, and Rose Smoke. Interestingly, I am not into their actual colognes so much. I am very curious still to find out where to get their new Gaiac Eternel.

Hopefully they sell it to someone that knows what to do with them. Atelier Cologne is great and they do sell, in the summer at least. Maybe it’s being a bit more seasonal is why they’re pulling it out, as L’Oréal is probably taking hit from the now hopefully winding down virus insanity especially in Europe where a lot of places have locked down hard over the last while.

My favourite is Pomelo Paradis which i like to layer with a musk like Magnetic blend number 7 by initio. Rose anonyme is a close second. I must stock up while i can!
I remember I met the owner of atelier cologne in 2013-14 and it was a nice couple they had just released santal Carmin and they made a special leather casing with my initial on it and I had bought oolong pur trefle, bois blonds, santal carmin 2x. I still have my santal carmin it’s a great frag
Santal Carmin is my favorite of theirs. You know how you come across a scent and it becomes a part of your identity? Where you smell it and it's like something finally shifts into place and suddenly your soul is a little more settled? That's what I experienced. I feel like I'm losing a huge part of myself if I'm not able to wear this scent. Same for Pomelo Paradis, but especially Santal Carmin. This is such a devastating loss.

I’m not surprised after the steep discounts offered on these perfumes during the holidays. I saw discounted bottles of Santal Carmin at Saks Off Fifth and it seems like Sephora was wiping out the stock. I absolutely over indulged but maybe now I’m glad?

I was going to say that your point about the US not being into fragrances is probably why Fragrance houses pull out from there. As for Atelier - absolutely love this brand. Have about 8 of your list. I wanted to try Rose Anonyme but Harrods had an exclusive called Rose Smoke which you'd probably like. Pacific Lime, California Clementine and Grand Neroli are my favourites.

My comment wasn't based on fact or studies, it was a personal opinion based on my experience of fragrance shopping in the US in multiple states and cities (NYC, LA, Vegas (probably the best range from what I saw but still disappointing), Dallas and DC). Secondly, spending the most still doesn''t mean you are getting the wide range of fragrances that you get in the UK, Rest of Europe or the Middle East. And, as I have heard Sebastian say multiple times in his videos over the years, "I picked this up in Europe" or "I picked that up in the Middle East"
They left the German market as well, what a shame. I love Vanille I. and their citrus perfumes. I'm definitely getting orange sanguine before you can't get them anymore

Ohhhhhhh dear. Something tells me that their sales quota wasn't being met. Daaaang. Besides the travel sprays, always thought that their full bottles were overpriced. But some great scents overall.
I’m fairly new to the Atelier fragrances. I tend to love citrus and vanilla notes. I have Clementine California, Pacific Lime , Lemon Island and Orange Sequin. I was never able to find the Vanille Intense. It’s a shame that we will not be able to purchase these fragrances once the limited stock is gone.
Now it seems like they are oy sling in France. This depresses me so much. I only wear Atelier Cologne and have actually loved every scenf. Some more than others but I've never come across one that I though No Way! Vanille Insensee is my favorite. I also love Rose Anonyme, California, Iris Rebelle, Silver Iris, and Cedrat Enivrant. I just got the 6.7 oz of Silver Iris. Trying to find the bigger bottles since I don't know how much longer I'll be able to find them.
I’ve noticed that a lot of my stores near me have been sold out of most of Atelier Colognes products for a while.

Are fragrances going the way of 'fast fashion' specifically in America? Thoughts? This sadly, isn't a surprise. I enjoy opaque bottles of Tobacco Nuit and Emeraude Agar, because they last on my skin. The only clear bottle fragrance I picked up was Vanilla Insensee as it seemed to have some 'legs' as opposed to the rest of the line. I saw a couple sets of Poivre and Mimosa Indigo at TJ Maxx last week. Thanks Sebastian.

I have thought about this line for quite a while and never pulled the trigger till this week before I couldn’t! From what I’ve heard, their longevity/performance doesn’t always match the price and I think a little update to the labels would be nice.

Very strange decision by L’Oreal ,why pay good money to purchase a company to then minimize it’s sale potential?,unless they figure it’s a brand very tropical,hot vacation destination type of offerings and they may be going to push the brand at duty free airports and on board sales for US holiday goers to pick up as an extra holiday treat on route to a great tropical vacation?? Just got myself a used bottle of Café tuberosa. I haven’t tried many but this one I found the most unique. For some reason the citruses dont smell that literal to me 🤷🏻♀️

Oh no!!! I’m just now hearing about this and I’m a little broken-hearted. I haven’t had the chance to buy all my favorites from them: Vanille Insensée, Rose Anonyme, Pacific Lime, Patchouli Riviera, and Love Osmanthus. I already own Clémentine California and Iris Rebelle. I am seriously so sad over this 😢
They stopped selling in DK (and the rest of Scandinavian I was told) last year. And Atelier Cologne stoped shipping outside France 😞

I knew something was going on with the brand because they’re on sale on so many different websites. It’s a pity because they really have some great fragrances 🙁
I think they’re refocused on Asian market as emerging fragrance users. AC just opened a boutique in Bangkok whereas previously it’s only available at airport duty free.
Lately Pomelo Paradis went all over the craze here in Thailand after one of top-hit Korean Series on Netflix feature this heavily. My bet would be that sales are a lot bigger in PRC and in Korea. On the ground here, they’re competing over the same slices as Le Labo and Byredo.

Though this house isn't actually a huge fave of mine, I'm sad to see someone's dream/hard work be sold and then discontinued. Vanille Insensée is probably my favorite of theirs (I'm a vanilla lover) but the rest are pretty basic, lots of ho-hum citrus. Lemon Island is actually one of my most disliked fragrances ever. It smells like a combo of wet dog/bacon/low tide on my skin, lol

I, too, am looking for clean soapy fragrances that don’t veer into lemon floor cleaner. Violets and soap would seem like a good combo, but can’t find it.
