👍 just put ours up for first time.. Thanks for the video. Really helped. I found that spacing the base plates out like you suggested really does work. One small tip which might help others too is when I'd spaced the plates out I used a standard metal peg to hold the top bar in place and then pivoted the bar around to mark the position of the next base plate
Thank you John. I have battled with the windbreaks in the past but the door has arrived today and once again no instructions! I shouldn't be surprised because the blow up awning didn't have any instructions either. Crazy! I am very grateful to you for posting this video.
You're welcome.small message , if you buy the aldi screw pegs, the plastic part turns with the peg.so to stop this, knock the plastic down the peg, then grind the metal lug off , this then stops the plastic from turning.and stops peg from damaging rubbers.all the best John
Bloody brilliant! Really glad I watched this before attempting to put mine up. You also came across as a really nice bloke who obviously loves caravanning and his dogs, thank you for posting.
Guess what I will be trying tomorrow, we've struggled and bungled our way through this since we've had ours. You made it look easy. Why don't Kampa provide any instruction with these?
That's the reason I made the video.a mate of mine who is a competent caravaner got one and after an hour he had a cup of tea then carried on.i hope you manage ok with my instruction.thanks john.
Well an hour spent trying to follow the ‘instructions’ threw them in the bin and started again and worked it out. Missed this video. Now purchased the screw in pegs and looking forward to next week to try this method out! However anyone know where I can get one of those metal tubes with the cap to put over the bottom part of the pole to protect it when you ‘hammer’ it into the ground? Thanks John
The pipe protector was made by my friend originally to knock my old wooden pole windbrake. You need a piece of pipe to fit over and a steel nut welding on top.good luck with it
I have never had any poles move out of the ground even in gales, the bottom ties prevent this from happening. There's a small problem I have had. With the guy poles, that is the locking clamps can come off the pole that they are attached too because the Allen key bolt n nut are not tight enough.

Will give your method a go, cheers!!
Great video mate will try your method next time.🤞👍
Thank so much!!! You were a wind saver!!!! ❤❤❤
I was struggling until I watched this video. Now it is easy and so different from the instructions which come with it. Where do I get those legs?
Very good instructional video. Thankyou.
Jobs a good un. Looks great quality. I'll need to check what model I get and make sure it has at least 2 tabs on bottom. 👍

Very useful. Thankyou👍
How do you shorten? The pole thanks
Cut 2 inch off the top of pole with hack saw. Then knock the pin n plug out using a screwdriver then replace into pole o k.
@@johnosborne4644 thanks John will do it next time out great video 😃
You didn’t lock the pole on to the plate you should put pole on plate on turn as it’s a locking for pole not to come out of plate

Haha I don’t think I will be buying one of these !
