I am a bit confused on how to sort out the airfare stuff.I observed that flight from Lagos to Ottawa is almost double the amount for flight to Toronto.
Please what viable options are available to me and my family?

You can fly to Toronto and arrange for a car to drive you from Toronto to Ottawa, it ride would cost between $500-700 CAD. That’s the other option.
