Sir, do you have a video on setting up project in figma completely like from setting up color system to fonts and variables etc. like how one should initailize a project in figma after which design should get started. This video was very helpful sir, Thank you. You've got a subscriber.
Hey love your design content.I wanted to ask when it comes to creating a design system which comes first the design or the design system sorry if this is a stupid question
Hey there! There's no such thing as a stupid question, and this one is actually quite good 😊. So, when it comes to the design system, it all depends on the project stage. If you've already decided on a look and feel and you have branding guidelines, you can begin with the design system. This approach will accelerate the process of building the remaining pages. However, if you're starting from scratch without a clear idea of the product's appearance, lacking branding guidelines, or awaiting design approval from the client, it's better to initiate with the designs and then develop the design system. In situations like these, my approach is to collaborate with the client to define the look and feel of the designs on 1-3 pages. Once those are approved, I proceed to construct the system, enabling me to efficiently create the remaining product pages using the design system. I hope this answers your question 😊
Hey 👋! Yes if you’re designs require you to have multiple font weight then yes you can add Regula, Bold, Medium…etc as many as you need. And in terms of naming you can organise them like: H1/Regular, H1/Bold, H1/Medium…etc
Hi Michael, apologies if this was confusing. What I meant was that the H1 should be between 30-40PX on Mobile. Me personally when I have a project and I want to stay on the safe side, especially if the client does not provide any copy in advance I go with a base size of 16px and a scale of 1.125 - Major second (typescale.com/). So my values will be something like this: H1 - 32px, H2 - 28px, H3 - 24px, H4 - 22px, H5 - 20px, H6 - 18px, Body - 16px and Small text - 12px. Hope this clarifies the confusion 😅

I don't have such a video because it's quite a lot to talk about on that topic but it is included in the UI Masterclass Course.

This isn't letting me change the font size :(
That's strange, what do you mean when you say it's not letting you change the font size?
👏👏👏
Maybe I was not listen correct…sorry. But you said H1 should be around 30-40px on Desktop. But later in your video we have a H1 of over 60?
