4:11 Overall Review
I paid $99.99 for this beach tent and I also paid another $10 for the extendable floor. I'll show you how the $10 is well worth the extra 10 bucks. The Pacific Breeze Beach Tent Deluxe XL is 95 inches long, 52 inches high and 51 inches deep. These dimensions are roomy enough for two to three adults, a couple of kids and a midsize domestic pet.
For thirty dollars less (about $69.99) Pacific Breeze offers a beach tent with slightly smaller dimensions and one less mesh window.
The Pacific Breeze Easy Setup Beach Tent Deluxe XL packs down to 38 inches long and six inches wide and weighs just 6 ponds. So yes, this beach tent is very light weight! I carried this tent around for about a mile one day and it was simply a breeze. As I write this, I have the carry bag hanging in my beach gear guy shed and it takes up very little space.
The tent is made of a polyester material that offers UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) 50+ sun protection. It is also water repellent, but I didn't test this benefit in this video.
When I tested this Pacific Breeze Beach Tent on a windy day, I completely filled the five sand pockets which are attached to the outer base of the tent. The sand pockets kept the beach tent from blowing away into the ocean (always a plus) and the fiberglass frame maintained the structural integrity of the tent with minimal movement. For other beach tents and sun shelter, I sometimes need to place additional gallon size freezer bags filled with sand to keep the tent from blowing away. The sand pockets attached to the Pacific Breeze beach tent worked just fine.
The Pacific Breeze Beach Tent includes four yellow plastic stakes, which may be useful when enjoying this tent on a lawn, but the sand bags really worked great at the beach.
Since producing and posting this review video on RUclips, I've used my Pacific Breeze Easy Setup Beach Tent Deluxe XL with the extendable floor, about five more times, and it worked well each time. Fellow beach goers are always impressed at how easy and fast it is for me to set it up.
Overall, I love my Pacific Breeze Easy Setup Beach Tent Deluxe. I've used this beach tent several times during the 2019 summer and I'm sure I'll be setting it up several more times during the summer of 2020.
I hope you like this video, thanks for supporting my Beach Gear Guy Channel, and I hope you take it easy on the beach.

Thanks man. It’s because of you I bought this tent a few months ago and I I love it. I set it up today in 20 mph winds by myself I didn’t even use sandbags. Those screw anchors that you recommended in another video is all I needed. It started to rain and I closed the front of it and nothing got wet when the rain was over I opened it up and continued to “work from home”
Cool! Thanks for letting me know Frankie. I'm happy to hear that the Pacific Breeze XL is working out for you...even when it rains! I'm also glad you discovered the orange screws in another video. They really do come in handy. I hope you continue to have fun working from home!
What size screws did u get ( the orange ones ) small or large
I bought this based on your review. I was not disappointed. Your review was thorough and also gave me some pointers about how to best setup and take down this tent. One point for some, watch that the central hub is aligned when setting up. Sometimes it isn't aligned and doesn't lock in place correctly. Just something to look out for. Also, absolutely buy those orange screw stakes for the sand. They make for a quick and easy setup. They hold up to ~10-15 mph wins very well. This thing is great! So glad I found this channel!
Thanks! I'm happy to know the review helped you out! I bought another Pacific Breeze XL for a comparison review video and noticed the same issue with the hub. Thanks for sharing, and I'm glad you found my channel too! 😀
Okay, this is the best tent without any guy lines and easy setup. This one is perfect!
It's my favorite half-dome beach tent.
These videos are great. I'm watching all of these before I plan my summer vacation this year!
Thank you so much for watching! I love making these videos and I'm happy to hear that you like them. I hope you find some cool beach gear for your summer vacation!

Great demonstration, thank you!

NatureHike beach tent, do you have a review....love your reviews 😅
I haven't reviewed the NatureHike beach tent yet, but I have reviewed similar beach tents: ruclips.net/video/Zb6k3kWW5jY/видео.htmlsi=0MiIeZnhzYwatD_-
My wife and I bought a beat tent from Costco and boy is it a nightmare trying to make it work. This tent looks so easy in comparison.
Just yesterday I lent my Pacific Breeze XL Beach Tent to a few beach friends for the week. They were really surprised at how easy it was to set up.
I can't decide between the pacific breeze xl or the sun ninja pop up tent. Beach Gear Guy....please help me! Which one would do your prefer? Lots of reviews on amazon that the pacific breeze gets very HOT inside. True? If you had to pick only one which would it be?
Good question! Both beach tents have their pros and cons. If it's one of those really hot, sunny days at the beach and there isn't a breeze, it can get warm inside the Pacific Breeze....so on a really HOT day, I would use a canopy beach tent like the Sun Ninja. But if there was a breeze and I wanted something I could set up quickly on the beach with no fuss, I would go with the Pacific Breeze XL.
@@BeachGearGuy But if you had to pick one...which would it be? Pick one
How many people will be joining you under the sun shade?
@@BeachGearGuy Just me and my wife. But both are roomy not the issue. I want a recommendation the overall best choice between the two across all beach conditions. If you had to choose one....which one would it be? Thanks so much
I like the Sun Ninja, but overall between the two, I would choose the Pacific Breeze XL because it sets up quickly, takes up less space on the beach, provides privacy (it's like having you're own little cabana) and you don't have to worry about the breeze direction as much. Just make sure beach tents are allowed on the beach you plan to visit. Also, both the Sun Ninja and the Pacific breeze don't provide total sun protection, so as you can see in my videos, I always take other sun protection precautions just to be safe.
excellent video, thank you so much, subscribed
Awesome! Thanks for the sub Ricky!
Of all the beach tents you've tested, which do you think would be the best suited for 3 smalls kids and one adult?
You're watching the right video my friend. I would go with the Pacific Breeze XL with the extendable floor. I think it would be roomy enough for you with three little ones plus you can have some privacy if you need it. It's also an all-around great beach tent.
Great review thank u ..
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
Between the Pacific breeze XL and the Easthills outdoor instant shader, which would you recommend? We'll generally use it for 2 adults and 1 child. Thanks for the video and info!
Thanks for the question! They're both good half-dome beach tents. The Easthills Outdoors Instant Shader is bigger, so you'll have more room for yourself and your two beach companions. The Pacific Breeze XL is better at holding up against the wind. I wouldn't use my Easthills Outdoors Instant Shader Dark Shelter XL in winds greater than 10 mph.
@@BeachGearGuy Super helpful! Thanks so much for the info and the quick response!
Hey, where did you get the extendable floor? I don’t see it on Amazon. Great video btw, helped me decide to buy it! Wish you had an affiliate link.
Thanks Renee! I just looked on both Amazon & pacificbreezeproducts.com and I couldn't find the extendable floor. Looks they sold out. Many beach tents and beach chairs have been selling out due to the pandemic. Thanks for offering to support my channel by buying via an affiliate link. I need 500 subscribers before Amazon accepts me as an affiliate. One hundred to go! Thanks again!
Can it be closed from the outside?
Sure! The Door can be closed from the inside. Watch my recent review video if you are considering buying the Pacific Breeze XL. ruclips.net/video/Zb6k3kWW5jY/видео.html
Just subscribed which means I'm not buying a beach umbrella or tent or anything else for the beach today.. You did save me from buying an XL tent that barely fit you. Thank you. Plus you make me laugh. Also, Thank you.
Can a strong but not too coordinated 63 inch tall woman set this up alone?
Thanks for the sub! Well, I'm 77 inches and not too coordinated and I could set it up alone. I bet you could set it up too!
I used to have this beach tent..easy set up and set down. Mind you, I am just under 5 feet. If I can do it, you can do it. But after 2 summers, it broke and the polyester ripped.
Sorry to hear about your Pacific Breeze beach tent. I just used mine Monday and luckily it's still okay.
Are the orange ( separate purchase )anchors the small size ?
Yes. The orange anchor screws are sold separately.
I like the cave man method..😁
Sometimes it's the best way.
I do it solo all the time
This or the light speed?
This one. 👍
Il like the caveman method!
Thanks Dave!
I paid $10 for mine at a liquidations auction,lol
Way to go Wez!
I bought bigger stakes and a hammer
Good move!
Man I'm disappointed. Bought at $60 Ebay, arrived and it was a fake. No logos, no strings, no yellow markers, different mechanism, and terrible stitching. Complained to seller. Got a full refund, bought the Amazon $115 version. It was original. Tried to pull the string in opposite directions, it doesn't pop up well. The lower block doesn't align to the pocket it suppose to go in. Did it about 20 times and finally asked my wife to hold up the string half way while I maneuver the lower block into the pocket. My palm and fingers was red and painful from pulling too much. I'm beginning to think that Chinese knock-off was better. All you did was just push that block up and goes into the pocket. If only that original Pacific Breeze pop-up string had 4-strings in all corners it'll probably guide it up well. Anyway, we'll test it out on the beach the following weeks. I might make a video and send it to you.
That's crazy! Have you contacted Pacific Breeze directly? You shouldn't have that much trouble setting it up. Maybe you got a defective one. I bought my Pacific Breeze XL three years ago. I'm thinking I should buy another one to see what's up. Thanks for sharing your experience.
@@BeachGearGuy Not going to wait for a day more. I'm tired of having to wait longer. I'm going to the beach with or without it. I've researched and found out that shorter people have a hard time popping it up. It's for taller people! Hahaha...so how's the BREEZE up there? So hopefully you ask someone under 5'5 to do the pop ups for you. Man I thought it was easy. Even pulling it needs power. My kid can't do it. Thinking about camping too, and found out there are no air conditioning vents for tents. Like a normal window size hole for an air conditioner. Do you have any ideas. Hopeful you'll also do tents soon. More power again! Love your videos and mostly love your family appeal.
