The LV “On the Go” in either the GM or MM size, in empreinte leather, is a workhorse of a tote bag. Yes, it has the LV monogram all over the tote, but if you get it in the single-colored leather (like black or turtle dove), it’s really not that eye-catching or “in your face”. I also love that it has the two different handles/straps - the shoulder straps which can be tucked into the bag when not using, and the top-handle/crook of the arm handles which flap down onto the side of the bag when not using. LV really thought about functionality when making this tote! Both Celine bags you showed are beautiful, but I’m not so sure they would carry a laptop, planner, etc comfortably (or even in an aesthetically pleasing way). Although I love Loewe, I don’t know how that tote would look with a laptop in it - and that goes for the other bags you mentioned that have a similar shape/style to the Loewe tote - the softness and unstructured nature of those bags would give a sloppy appearance once you start putting heavy items in them. I feel like you need a tote bag with a structured base, if you want to carry a laptop and other heavy items comfortably, while still looking fashionable and put-together. Good luck in your search - can’t wait to see what you pick!
Thank you for sharing such thoughtful considerations!! This is all superrr valid, and I think you’re right-structured seems like the right way to go. I also love the double straps with the on the go, so maybe I should go into the store and see what types I can find with minimal logos 🤗 And I think you’re right about the Celine bags-I’m not quite sure what will fit (or if it does fit, will it look totally misshapen 🫠). I so appreciate you! 💗
Thanks for this video!! I’m on the hunt for a new work bag as well so this was really helpful! I have to take Bart to the office though 😬 so not sure if I should invest in a luxury one.. lol right now I’ve been using my Cuyana tote which I love! If you’re in need of something on the cheaper but very good quality side, I’d recommend cuyana!
The LV Low Key line also has a more Tote Style option with the adjustable straps that release after the Hobo, that might actually be exactly what you want 💕👍🏽!
I wrote a super long comment last night but I don't think it posted! The Loewe Puzzle tote is a no-go, especially if you're flying. All your stuff can spill out on ascent/descent; I've literally seen someone's laptop slide a few rows away. Also, your laptop would bisect the tote, leaving limited space on either side. I love LV's Fastline line (which is the men's range) and tried them last weekend. The tote is really, really big and only comes in that colorway this season. The monochrome logo against the Aerogram is really nice though if you're going for a more minimalist look. If you're precious about your bags, I don't recommend a BV intrecciato weave bag either. You'll want to have the weave face up, so it won't really be a throw-around bag, especially below your seat or in the overhead. Have you looked at the Aspinal of London London tote? I always get complimented on it traveling through LAX and SFO. It can get a little heavy, but it's a horizontal tote with generous pockets (one zip) and magnetic closure. It's great. I also recommend the YSL sac du jour. Finally, I recommend shopping on 24s, which is a licensed LVMH site. You see sort by bags across their portfolio and more (be sure to look under men's AND women's) and they always have sales. It's probably the most valuable tip I have for you.
For a work bag, I love the caramel brown colored Celine that closes really securely. However, the idea of taking this to Singapore makes my heart hurt. It might get damaged. So while I think that would be an amazing work tote I suggest for a travel tote you get a Longchamp pillage tote in coated canvas. This is what I used for my trip all over Asia and it looks nicer than the nylon tote but it’s super light super durable. I have used it for two years for work and also for my trip and it still looks brand new and it’s like $300 so maybe get two bags.
I like the Loewe or Chanel! Excited to see what you add! I use the Goyard Artois and love it, but it may be a little logo heavy for you (though in some of the neutral colors, I think it looks less so)!
Yes to all of these, but there are two on my list that are missing from yours: the Fendi Peek-a-boo soft and the Loro Piana Loom. Any thoughts on those?
Those are both gorgeous bags for sure 😍 But I don’t think they’re right for my use because I want something that I can throw over my shoulder, and they both feel like aesthetically they should be worn handheld, you know?
What do you think about the bags I mentioned? I definitely want to hear your thoughts (especially if you have any of these bags) 🤗 Thanks so much for your help, fam!
I love the Prada bag, it's elegant, timeless and classy but very heavy. I think anything with a logo is tough to wear for work. The problem with the designer bags is that they are not very functional. Could you do a video with perhaps classy, but not necessarily designer work bag where there's areas to put your water bottles, sides to put your laptop, pens, ipads, etc? These are much needed.
I’ve definitely thought about this before! But I’d like something that I can easily throw over my shoulder. A birkin might look a bit silly worn that way, since it’s usually handheld/in the crook of the arm. WDYT?

My vote is for loewe, its a great leather and sooo chic ❤️
🙌🏽 Thank you!!!
My vote is for the loewe puzzle. It would look so classy on you xx love the suede interior. It’s also versatile and not just a work bag
Aww thank you! And totally agree-it looks very chic, so could have a lot more “range” than just for work 😊

Ooh yes Bart is a tough place these days 😅 I’ve actually really been wanting to check out Cuyana, so this is the push I needed! Thanks love 😊!

Yess I totally agree! I want to go try this one on in person 🤗

That’s a good point! I actually have an old longchamp in the black on black colorway, which served me well over the years 😊
I really like the Loewe Puzzle Tote.
Another bag to consider is the Loewe Flamenco in Large size. The leather on that bag is so soft and beautiful.
Yesss I was looking at the Flamenco too-it looks gorgeous 😍!
Love everything you put out here! I was so surprised by the *amzrepe* crossbody bag. love it!
Go with the Loewe. I have it, and it's made for everyday use/travel/office. haha
Yasss okay so good to know 🙌🏽 Thank you!!

Yess I agree with you on the neutral colors for Goyard! Good consideration to add to the mix 😊 Thanks love!
@ I think the grey or burgundy would be a great neutral!
I was literally going to suggest the gray Artois.
Such a pretty bag 🙌🏽
My personalised long champ shoulder bag is best
Yess someone else mentioned this too! I have one that has served me well in the past ☺️

@@LilyShops Ohh good call. And welcome back. You were missed.
🥲☺️ Aww thank you dear. It’s been so lovely to be back 🥰!

Yess I can definitely do that one day! 😊
Have you considered the herbag from Hermes? Or maybe the garden party 36? Hermes is always my first thought 🤦♀️ ahaha
Hehee I’m not mad at an Hermes option! Ive never actually tried either on, so maybe I should swing by and see if they have any 🤗
Herbags can be bought on Hermes online. Garden party bags are outside your price range and difficult to acquire. They’re quite plain, too.
Why not a used birkin 35 and call it a day?
I’ve definitely thought about this before! But I’d like something that I can easily throw over my shoulder. A birkin might look a bit silly worn that way, since it’s usually handheld/in the crook of the arm. WDYT?
@ a birkin is a birkin. I don’t ask anything of it. And I mean if u HAVE to have a shoulder carry option, then Kelly 35 retourne.
Oh yess a kelly 35 is a great idea! Good thinking 🧠💡
I miss your crazy self! Love the videos *amzrepe*
