Because of you, Tommy, I too just add the whole garlic in my soups when I use Vitamix and it makes cooking so much fast. Sometimes when I reheat soups in the Vitamix I add a bit more garlic or ginger and neither of them I peel. I got that trick from you, Tommy. Thanks for all you do.
It looks and tastes delicious !!!🥒🌶🥕🌰🥥🍋🥬 Yum !!!👍😋🥰 Thanks a bunch for all your recipes !!!🙏😊 I love your channel.🙏🥰👍 2 cups of room-temperature filtered water A whole carrot A celery with leaves A half of squash A nice slice of cabbage A quarter of capsicum A wedge of lemon A quarter of green apple A nice knob of ginger A clove of garlic Two handfuls of cashews A vegeterian stock cube A little bit of rock salt A little bit of pepper A nice handful of coriander A little bit of chilli A spring onion with roots
I really love how your recipes are not wasteful, for example, putting in the entire clove of garlic, skin and all, stems from red bell pepper. It makes it so easy and quick to make a meal!
Hi Tommy I've done my first two vitamix recipes with you. I'm drinking on a Friday night and still happily eating healthy thanks to you! This was awesome.
Tommy, this is probably the best soup I have ever had. The more you keep eating it the more you can't stop eating it. :) WOW! Thanks for putting these recipes up for us. Marc from Canada.
I just tried your recepie in my brandnew Vitamix A3500i blender. The result was a delicious soup that left a very rich taste in my mouth for quite some time! A real keeper!
Hi Tommy and the Raw Blend family: I just tried this recipe, and it was ABSOLUTELY delicious. Creamy and fragrant, it tasted almost identical to the green curry sauce I would normally get from my favorite Thai restaurant. What a great recipe - this one is a keeper. Thank you for sharing this!
I just got a Vitamix last week and this is the first soup I tried in it. Wow!!! Amazing soup!! So rich and flavourful!! And I don't even eat raw food or much of vegetables to begin with.
Just made this - fabulous. The only item didn't have was the cabbage but the result was fabulous. I've realised that you need to blend on high or it isn't hot enough. Thanks.
Thanks for the channel! I will have my jaws wired shut for 2 straight months after my surgery later this year so I will be using your recipes several times per day. :)
I got my Vitamix last night and this was the first thing I tried! I just used organic coconut milk (So Delicious brand) for more Thai flavor, and it was delicious!!! Two of us devoured the whole thing, and it was very filling. We followed it with a green smoothie and were stuffed. I'm so glad I got the Vitamix (my birthday present) and this soup was a great start. I fantasized about it all day today.. lol.
Thank you - this is such a yummy, great, fast recipe! And easy to do variations on depending on what I’ve got on hand. (Or need to use up before it goes bad).
Love, love, love. I got my Vitamix last Christmas and have been so under utilizing it. Love the way you use it .. healthy, raw soups. I am making this one tonigt. Thanks :)
Hi Roxanne, It certainly could however, we recommend steaming potatoes before hand as their starch levels and mess with a lot of people's digestion and the heat from the Vitamix friction doesn't cook this out. Thanks for watching!
Super good! I made a few modifications to suit my own tastes. This was Super good!! I used it as the soup base with some rice noodles. Great recipe! Cheers
i just got the s30 and do so like your video very much can you make this in the s30 and if you could let me what modification on the ricipes for the s30 Thank
I have an old model of Vitamix that wasn't sold as for heating or cooking. Can you recommend a way to use the stove or microwave for warming it up just enough without losing the enzymes and nutrients?
Hi Tommy. Can you please tell me what brand your ceramic knife is? I want to get a couple of good quality ceramic knives, but there is a lot of junk out there; I'd prefer something made in Japan or Germany, and of high quality... Cheers!
I'm using the Kyocera Ceramic Knife. They are brilliant however, we don't recommend using them for really tough veggies or fruit such as pineapple. They are quite delicate being Ceramic. Thanks for watching and have a wonderful day!
Hi Tommy. Thank you for posting this video. I noticed that you use dry cashews. I've heard that it is good to soak nuts (beans, lentils, etc...) in water before using them. What is your belief on this? Thanks.
I've owned my Vitamix pro 750 for about a month. Every soup recipe so far has created an unappealing thick mousse consistency on the soup setting. Any idea what I am doing wrong?
SonofSilas Make sure you're following Vitamix recipes as you get started. We have lots of recipes on our website. Here is a link to the soup section: www.rawblend.com.au/vitamix-soup-recipes.html If you find it's too thick, you can add more liquid to thin it out. Have a great day! Thanks for watching :)
just got my vitamix, expressly to make soup . I 've made some soups with great flavor, but the texture is too frothy if I blend long enough to heat. Any tips to minimize the frothiness?
Hi ***** The cashews definitely give it a lighter colour and make it creamier, however it wouldn't be the reason for it being green. You may be using too much of coriander? Thanks for watching! Let us know how you go :)
Hi Tommy A big thanks for your inspiring channel ! Just wondering is it really healthy overheating the blender instead of adding boiled water in the blender, what is the most nutritious? Other question switching ON at high speed is not good for the motor no? What doing that increasingly using low speed?? Many thanks !! Gorgeous recipes
Tommy I love your videos. I made a video making my version of the chicken tortilla soup. Please check it out. It turners out wonderful. I'm going to try this soup later today and see how good it is. Please make more videos on soups with the vitamix!! Thank you!
That's why Raw Foodists only heat until it's around 40 degrees celsius to keep most of those enzymes in tact. You can use a thermometer to monitor this :) Thanks for watching!
Tommy, my friend you can't have raw cashews. They are always cooked. They have to be. Look up "The Story of the Cashew" for some enlightenment. I love the video none the less but telling people cashews are raw is a bit of a fallacy.
Hi ***** We use Loving Earth Raw Cashews in our recipes :) Some "raw" cashews are actually steamed or fried in oil when they are in the shell to make them easier to crack. Loving Earth Cashews are sundried and hand-cracked in Indonesia using a unique traditional knife to crack the cashew shell without using any heat You can view more information through this link:lovingearth.net/products/30/really-raw-organic-whole-cashews Thanks for watching and happy blending!

Tommy, this is amazing. Could the machine handle a whole peeled 'raw' potato to make potato and leek soup? Thank you
Hi Roxanne, It certainly could however, we recommend steaming potatoes before hand as their starch levels and mess with a lot of people's digestion and the heat from the Vitamix friction doesn't cook this out. Thanks for watching!

Hello. I have a vitamix with a 48 oz container, would I need to cut this recipe in half? Thank you. Looks great.
This recipe makes roughly 1.5L so it should all fit in your container. Just make sure your lid is in place! Happy blending.
Sooo good and tasty! ☺ you always make an amazing soup recipe! Keep bringing it! ☺👍👍💙🍋🍇🍈🍊🍎
Thanks for watching :) Happy Blending!
thx mate!
I have an old model of Vitamix that wasn't sold as for heating or cooking. Can you recommend a way to use the stove or microwave for warming it up just enough without losing the enzymes and nutrients?
Hi Zena Patel
Do you know what model Vitamix you have and how old it is?
Thanks for watching!

Hi Lori, these cashews have been soaked and then dried out :) Happy blending!
Can i add coconut cream? :)
Yes you can! That would be delicious :)
can I order him lest the appliance?
hahahaha I'm already spoken for but I appreciate the sentiment :)
Yum
Do you soak your raw cashews?
Sure do! And then give them a good rinse :) Happy Blending!
Raw 👍🏻✨
Thanks for watching :)
do you need to wash those veggies and fruits first before putting them into the blender?
Hi Stella Dong
We always wash our ingredients first :)
Thanks for watching and happy blending!
Any tips for the noise. I live at university and I worry about leaving a blender on high for 5 minutes.
Hi Catherine S
If you start off with warm/hot water, you will only have to leave it on for about 2 minutes. Let us know how you go :) Happy blending!
I've owned my Vitamix pro 750 for about a month. Every soup recipe so far has created an unappealing thick mousse consistency on the soup setting. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

What Vitamix model are you using? Awesome vids :)
Hi alnice2g
We are using the Vitamix 5200 in this video :)
Thanks for watching and happy blending!
My soup was really tasty but was quite bitter, what could be the problem?
It could be that you're using too much Spring Onion or Cabbage and potentially too much lemon with the peel.
just got my vitamix, expressly to make soup . I 've made some soups with great flavor, but the texture is too frothy if I blend long enough to heat. Any tips to minimize the frothiness?
I didn't use the cashews and it came out green, is that because you used cashews?
Hi *****
The cashews definitely give it a lighter colour and make it creamier, however it wouldn't be the reason for it being green. You may be using too much of coriander? Thanks for watching! Let us know how you go :)

Just add warm water to begin with, it's gonna be easier to get warmer
Yep! A lot of people do that :) But we wanted to show how it can go from Cold to Steaming :)
Well if your soup temp reaches over 118 degrees F, then YES you're losing enzymes but that's not so bad.
Yes just run it for less time if you want it 100% raw. Thanks for watching :)
Tommy looks like he trims his hair with that Vitamix ...excellent recipe tho.
The barber must have been away that week. All hair aside.... i'm glad you like the recipe! Thanks for watching!
It occurred to me you could probably just put in pepper corns rather than ground pepper.
You certainly could! Thanks for watching :)
Aren't you still destroying the enzyms? The food is still getting hot in there...
That's why Raw Foodists only heat until it's around 40 degrees celsius to keep most of those enzymes in tact. You can use a thermometer to monitor this :) Thanks for watching!
Sounds like a lazy mans recipe
