S'right. I think polls before mid-season are a waste of time - except they give the pundits something to talk about. Period. Let everybody play 6-7 games, then start thinking about polls. Better yet, wait til the season's over then rank everyone.

Everyone except the people who know UT sports want Arch to start. HE IS NOT BETTER THAN QUINN RIGHT NOW, media just loves trying to start narratives, eveyone gonna be so dramatic when Quinn comes back and gets his job back with zero hesitation. @@KB3TLE Well they have played somebody. NC State was ranked #24 in the nation, and is capable of competing on any given week. What we HAVE been able to see though, is how this offense ran against a top 5 defense against Iowa in the bowl game. We've seen the speed and power of the D-Line and excellent O-line play. Further the throws Nico has made are top level no matter who the opponent is. He throws a pretty ball. So they haven't played a top 10 team so far, but the idea that we just can't know about them because they "haven't played anybody" is pedantic and ludicrous. I guess the Oklahoma game won't prove anything either if they win.

You think the team looks better with arch? Why? The offense sputtered multiple times because of arch missing reads and having poor pocket presence. Staring down his receivers. Arch is very good, but quinn has proven time and time again why he is the best quarterback not just on the team but in the country

Using this poll and assuming the highest ranked team in each conference wins their conference, the playoff would like this:
#9 Tennessee at #8 Missouri (Winner plays #1 Texas)
#12 Northern Illinois at #5 Georgia (Winner plays #4 Utah)
#10 Oregon at #7 Ole Miss (Winner plays #2 Ohio St)
#11 Penn St at #6 Alabama (Winner plays #3 Miami)

SEC will knock each other off. They got 6 right now in the top ten. At end of season probably have 3 in top ten. SEC will send 4 teams to CFP. These non-conference games are going to act as tie breakers between conferences to decide who goes among Big 10, SEC and Big 12. ACC is only getting one team into CFP and that looks like Miami.
