I find it interesting that ppl want to merge Reminders with Calendar. I find that to junk up the (small space) Calendar. For me I use the Reminder to make appointment, run errands, mail something, get the car washed etc. If I make an appointment, that then goes into the Calendar. Buy a card > Reminder. Birthday > Calendar. I keep watching these videos incase something clicks in me that shows it's not a messy and unneeded redundancy.
I like having everything I need to do in a day in one place. The great thing is, you can choose not to show the reminders if you don’t want to see them. Complaining about a feature you don’t like when you can turn it off and not use it accomplishes only one thing….
thank you very informative. Would say the text of what you spoke was in the way sometimes for me to see what you where pressing on but generally very clear.
I wish Apple’s contacts and Calendar could communicate better, like the old Palm devices. Every call, appointment, conversation/call notes, all available by clicking a tab.
@ yeah, you create a link, copy the link, and paste it in the URL section. When you select the link it will open the corresponding note or linked object. Pretty nifty.
@@siburbs it’s been there for a while. It’s cool to use. You can use it in the calendar app as well. Create a note link in the sharing menu then copy to the url.
Excellent video, thank you. I learned several features I have not heard of before. One feature I’m curious about is the Time to Leave. I notice you enter a specific location as a starting point, but I wonder if it will change that to your current location in case you aren’t at that starting location when it comes time to leave for the appointment.
excellent video, one big issue with the ios and ipados calendar is the way overlapping appointments are shown! They are listed one on top of the other. I prefer them to be side by side! is there any way to get the listed side by side?
Great video . . .but the time zone bug is still an issue. For example, I live in the Eastern Time Zone for half the year, Central Time Zone the other half. While in the Eastern Time Zone, I booked an appointment for last week, at 9:30 am, CST. Even though I set my time zone in settings to Central Time when I arrived in this time zone, my appointment showed up in my calendar as 10:30am and below 9:30am CST. When looking at the calendar, without reading details, it appeared the event was an hour later. I missed the appointment.
Excellent Video thank you very much. I have never had a good relationship with the Apple calendar app since I've come over to Mac from Windows. I find myself constantly searching for events that I know I scheduled, but they are not listed on the dates that they should be. Hopefully this will help. Keep my schedule organized.
I really wish they would add the feature for us to choose all sorts of colors for different events. That’s the one major flaw that makes me dislike the Apple version. I like to easily be able to look ahead and see , for example, red for Dr Appointments, Yellow for shopping, green for paying bills, etc
This is a great explanation of the new calendar, and the video graphics look great. Please pay attention to your edits though; there were several mismatched edits of your voiceovers that were distracting. I can see through them, but in today’s ’no attention span’ society, you’ll lose viewers because of them.
It’s great you can see Reminders in the Calendar but if you don’t complete a Reminder it does not roll over to the next day. This is a complete fail. If you only use your Calendar you will miss Reminders that were not completed.
so, i add all my reminders directly within my calendar. It seems my reminders set in calendar DO NOT transfer over to reminders. It must only work 1 way. From reminders to calendar, not calendar to reminders. Kind of stupid by apple.
Interesting viewpoints, thx. As of potential improvement, you may consider improving the teleprompter (eye movement). Unfortunately, a third of the video did not match the title, as it was about functions that are not new, but have existed for a long time.
I would like to have a pdf of the features talked about in this video on Calendars.

I find it interesting that people would use both apps when you can use just Calendar to set date and reminders for specific times
Same with me.
Absolutely. More pointless tinkering from Apple. Then we have to learn how to delete all the shit they think is an improvement.

Thank you, Very helpful,
My favorite alert is the “time to leave,” which uses the map’s travel time.

Great job on this

Google contacts on android does this. It will also show up you the weather at their location.
You didn’t discuss the URL function. It is indispensable. It allows you to link a note, a website, to the event. Very useful.
Didn’t know that. Thanks!

@@mehmd1913 Is this something new, or is it just using the URL field that's always been there? Or does the URL field now do something different?

Pretty useless
Wow! Apple such groundbreaking tech. Way ahead of the game.
Clear explanation. Thank you!!!
Excellent content and presentation!

Very good, thanks for helping me understand more about security threats.
Hello, just found you. Your video popped up in my RUclips feed and I just watched about five of your videos and subscribed. You do a great job!

thank you for this video, well done!

I can no longer get badges on my calendar app icon. Any suggestions?
Great job ! I added the widget to my home screen for today events ! Nice !😊
Excellent video! Thank you.

Great! Would like PDF
Nice 💯
When using reminders how do you know when it comes up for something that it is a reminder and not the actual date of the event?

How can I bring back the old calendar Like I have on my IPad?

That means you need to go into Reminders to see the uncompleted 😉
Allow calendar to fetch dates other than birthdays from contacts like android. Very very very basic need😢

I can add them from calendar and they do show up in the reminders app.
Yes mine will not merge with iPad. I’ve watched videos till I’m sick they will not merge. F that

IOS 18 killed my calendar. Now I use Google calendar.
Can I asked what happened? Trying to decide between committing to google cal or apple cal
This feature is allowing spam appointments from spam email to populate the calendar.
new calendar is a disaster,,
