For anyone that has a 2021 Kx250f. I have been told to run 1300 cc of oil because with the recommend amount the clutch pack doesn’t get enough oil on the top end. Which in return will over heat the clutch plates and cracked them. ( I don’t know if the same applies on the 2021 kx450f that’s just what I’ve been told to do).
@@notepad6437 tbh I don’t rely on the site glass I use a ratio/ measuring cup and measure out 1300cc of oil and pour it in. The first ride or two it will push a little oil out the crank case vent/ over flow hose.
At the end of the day its just a dirt bike with a racing motor. No matter what you do and how often you do your maintenance it'll blow up on you at some point. Just use good oil that's at least close to what you need
You did not show the reinstallation the the oil drain bolt does it include a gasket or a crush ring??! i changed the oil on my bike and it keeps draining oil fairly quickly not sure if it from a loose drain bolt or engine burning up the oil

same here i don’t think there is to much of a difference

10w40 just gives you higher protection against higher ambient temperatures to help prevent oil breakdown.
