Mine can’t compete with your spooky large olive with the face in it, but it’ll do. It sure has been a blast so far. As for that last bit, I’m gonna own it 😉
Solid growth. also great beard at the beginning of the episode. I haven't tried this specific olive. The ones i have are just wild grown weeds. Still: I've found that : They seem impossible to kill and even harder to get a good shape out of. The amount of work required to make them look good is highly under-appreciated.
Thank you, brother. Beard helps in the winter, but I didn’t grow one this year. Hard to find Olive trees in Alaska, so my options were limited. I don’t expect to ever get that thick heavy trunk that seem prolific with Olive Bonsai. But the challenge of growing this one has been a blast. (Hard to believe my summers are barely warm enough for it!)
Love your video editing :) Its been great seeing his little journey. I have a small Olive I keep indoors due to the low temps in the UK. I woke up at 7:30am today and put him, and some of the others, out on the window ledge to catch some rare winter sun and noticed a tiny flower opened on him. That was nice to see and it keeps my winter blues at bay knowing we are fast approaching spring. Awesome job Mr Yeti thank you for sharing your journey with us.. Cant wait to see future updates on this guy :)
Not bad. Try to put big lava rock on the bottom it helps a lot to hold moisture and fertilizer, so it realises it slowly and feeds the tree you dont have so much waist.
Nice progression on the Olive. Go figure, you needed more heat! 😂 nice work my friend!
I appreciate it, Sensei
Sometimes it takes a bit to get through my thick skull. Oh well. Hoping next outdoor growing season is a little better. 🤞🏼
Great video Billy! 👍 So much patience to save the footage for a year before posting! 🐦💙
Thanks Jay! The toughest part is putting my thoughts into intelligible words, and remembering when to record again. Hehe
It’s always exciting seeing that new growth. Olives make awesome bonsais. Looks like you’ve got yours off to a good start. Thanks, keep growing
Thanks Matt
Good work Billy, it's incredibly satisfying isn't it?! Olives are a must-have for all bonsai enthusiasts.
Glad to see the jedi in there again!

Im digging the air layer...nice branching for a young one. Cheers broski 😎🍺🍺
Thanks brother
I’m really hoping for some backbudding down low to get some girth. 🤞🏼
@@baldyeti i have a couple that are about half that size. Their first pruning coming in Spring. Your grow tent seems to be doing the trick.
Very good looking olive. I look forward to the journey we will take with this little tree!
Thanks Matt.
You & me both, brother.
Love the updates and who would think they would grow with limited sun. Mine get full hot freaking sun all day and they love it.
Thank you
Yeah, it is tough keeping it warm enough to grow outside. My nights are just too chilly.

Hey, thanks brother.
I don’t know what an olive flower looks like. I’ll have to check that out.
@@baldyeti they are tiny white flowers they group in little buds :)
Noice!
Awesome video Billy, you have 2 versions of you in the video, beard and no beard, tricky tricky!
Haha
Yes, I grew it out last winter, but summer was too hot so I shaved it off. Still bald on top though
Great video!
Thank you!
I’m glad you enjoyed it.
enjoying your content
Thank you. I appreciate the views/support.
As Sam the Aussie Bonsai Bloke would say, don’t let your olives freeze.
He is the man when it comes to Olives, no doubt.
Olive FOISTSKI 😊
Brother, aren’t you retired? Sleep in!
Hehe
If you’re gonna be up, I appreciate you giving me a view.
Looking great and I like the little clip-on air layer device. The real question is: beard, or no beard??
I get more smooches from Mrs Yeti without. So currently, no beard.
Plus, at risk of sounding like Pedro, I was getting hot so I cut it off.

And great insight & advise. I appreciate it, brother.
Did I miss it? How’d your air layer work out? Thanks
You didn’t miss it. Depending on the success, it’ll be a different video. 🤞🏼
And if you want some movement you need to do now .
