I was a Jr. in high school when this came out.

Uhhhmm, but Freddie was never seen with thicc ladies. In fact, Mary Austin was quite svelte & skinny. No, this was Brian's nod to Freddie enjoying the gay biker scene with fatbottom being a style of motorcycle. Not only was Freddie dressing more like them in this period of Queen but the Village People (along with their Gay Biker icon) had hit it big just a year before this song. And we know that Freddie was a fan of disco.

Everyone told Freddie Mercury's story as accurate as possible to what is known to the public eye. Also it is right that the love of his life was a woman. Not only did she get 50% of estate after he died. She is the only person in the world that knows where his remains are buried (not even his parents knew the location). There is a plague that was designated for him in a cemetery but nothing is there. For decades the wall around Garden Lodge (Freddie's house) was graffitied by his fans and she had to clean it because the town of Kensington believed it was an eye sore. I don't know if this is the truth, when she dies the house might go into a museum like Graceland did for Elvis Presley but those are rumors. However there are people that believe that somewhere on that property is Freddie's ashes because he loved that house so much. Also I believe that is the best way to keep him a peace (the way he wanted). Mary waited until about 3-4 years after his death to place him in the place of his choosing and to this day she is the only person who knows and promised that she will go to her grave with the location.

I loved Freddie. His connection to his HUGE audiences was unmatched by other bands. His voice, talent, was a God given gift but Freddie was more than his incredible 4 octave singing ability. He had the ability to blend highs, lows and mid range notes cohesively and with impressive precision. Freddie was able to create faster vibrato and harmonics than any other singer at the time shifting through registers effortlessly. Freddie made his audience feel as if they were part of the show getting them to participate on command. They were in the palm of his hand.

The original "Baby Got Back". Written by a guy with a doctorate in Astrophysics and has one of the softest calm voices you will ever hear (the fluffy haired guitarist Brian May) which I find hilarious. It was partially a joke because the Tour Du France was going by the studio they were working at and Freddie was enjoying the biking butts going by (and had a thing for thick bottomed boys) and it also was a comment on Brian's taste in women. It really wasn't about fat bottom girls but girls who were not conventionally pretty. He was done with the blonde bimbo girls hanging around backstage but preferred someone who was interesting that didn't know they were pretty (hence the lyric "I've seen every blue-eyed floozy on the way but their beauty and their style went kind of smooth after awhile. Take me to them naughty ladies every time").
