I love the appreciation for the deliberate over-the-top feel they were going for with this song. Coming of age during the era of Matchbox 20, Counting Crows, Goo Goo Dolls, all those moody alt-rock nasally ballads that hit our teen hearts in the feels, I just love how much Ryan went for it and also the enthusiasm of all the other Kens when they join in. They knew exactly what they were doing and somehow honor the source while also taking it to that next level for primo hilariousness. Solid gold.
Ryan Gosling as Ken imitating Rob Thomas. So many layers. I laughed out loud the first time I heard this - brings back so much teenage angsty break up memories.
i'm kind of close in age to gosling and people do not understand just how much air time matchbox 20 got in canada, they were EVERYWHERE, this song was everywhere when we were 15,16,17, so i have to wonder if he made this song suggestion
I love when Johnny is like "Who didn't love you back?! Give me names!" when Richard says he had some heartbreaks as a youngin. It's too cute and wholesome
If you want to hear the real Ryan Gosling indie sound, check out his band Dead Man’s Bones and In The Room Where You Sleep. There’s both a music video and live video on here. The best version though in my opinion is in the documentary Dead Man’s Bones. It’s only 18 min. If you like Ryan Gosling and his quirky sense of humour, it’s definitely worth watching.
You guys should check out one of Ryan's actual songs for comparison! I'd love to get your input on his natural sound, as opposed to his intentionally comedic delivery. You can clearly tell that he has talent and can sing here as well, but it's difficult to tell what's his natural skill and what's intended for comedic effect. He has a song called "Wake" from a few years back that's really good, I'd love to see you react to it!
Not only do I love "Wake", but he also sings "Put Me in the Car" and "You're My Favorite Song". I have a bundle of his songs playing on a loop and I think I have them all memorized now!
I loved this movie. My BFF & I actually both said “Oscar” out loud at the theatre when America Ferreira gave that long & brilliant speech in the van that deprogrammed the Stepford Barbie. It got a lot of applause in the theatre we saw it in. This movie manages to be fun, brilliant and perfectly expose not just the double standards & confusion women face but also how the world has been structured so that many men don’t see it (although some do and use it). I’ve enjoyed hearing reactions from men who’ve had a mirror held up and have seen the world as it is and are actively interested in learning more and trying to do better. A movie about a beloved doll is so much more and ideas & communication has been started in the real world. Great movies both entertain and aim to open minds, challenge outdated thinking and encourage communication. For those real life full of blonde fragility this movie was terrifying and they attack anything that threatens the myth of male superiority.
Wait what? I didn't know Rob Thomas wrote this. Though it makes sense. THAT flavor! 😂 But a bit different from Rob with leaning a bit more into that country accent. Someone needs to tell Ryan that he has to share those talents with us mere mortals. 😢😂 Can you check out Billie Eilish's barbie song What was I made for? I'm curious on what you guys would have to say. Also, can you check out this duo British band Hot Milk and their song Horror show? Here's the link to them preforming this song live. ruclips.net/video/ljIqDwtHHSc/видео.htmlsi=ZxKcQh1szUwT0QR0 Please and thank you
Thank you for your previous ONE OK ROCK reaction. The music video for their new song “Make lt Out Alive” has been released. This song is a collaboration song with the game "Monster Hunter Now", and TAKA's voice and rock sound are amazing. Please give it a listen.

Love your interpretation of how Ryan’s mimicking of Rob’s delivery is what most young men, deep in their feelings, learning how to sing would do
My husband and I DIED when he did this song in the movie! So damn funny!

Ryan Gosling - well-rounded performer.

that speech was the cringiest part of the film. i loved it, solid 8.5 out of 10 but that speech was .... not good.
I ordered the best weekend ever edition CD just so I can hear this while I'm driving. HAHA
Ryan Gosling ROCKS ❤❤❤❤
“There probably won’t be a part 3” .. posts a part 3 ❤
I did the 4 hour loop and I loved it ♥️❤️❤
I used to do a similar version of Whitney’s I will always love you. I would sing it drunkenly to a glass of wine.
Thanks useful 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You guys are fucking hilarious
