Killing Floor 2: Hell on Earth Desolation Original Solo Gunslinger w/Matriarch

- I'm back with more content for the summer. In this video I play the original desolation made by Delta from the steam workshop since the official version of desolation edited by TWI is a deviation from the original in several ways. The official desolation adds unnecessary clutter restricting fluent player movement and flexibility throughout the map. The spawns are too hectic since zeds can pop around the corner giving you no time to react. The maps original theme and dark atmosphere has been altered drastically making it unrecognizable.
All the changes I've discussed is only scratching the surface of the changes they've introduced. Down below is a link regarding these map changes. I urge you to please watch this from the map creators perspective to fully experience the map in it's entirety.

In this particular run, I used the mod Controlled Difficulty. The mod allows the user to customize and tweak the games spawn cycles by fixing the amount of zeds that can spawn, or adjusting how fast they spawn. I set the game's settings to default for this run, only adjusting the spawn intensity, how many can spawn, and increasing zed numbers. Without the mod settings, the zeds spawned too slow. resulting in boring gameplay. To fix this, I scaled up the zeds to mimic the tense atmosphere desolation delivers and I'm satisfied with the result. It was also a great opportunity to show off the Glock 18c trash killing capabilities.
The Glock 18c is a powerful reliable sidearm with an absurd fire rate and high DPS. The Glock 18c is, if not the best, primary trash clearer. The only downside to the Glock 18c is it's large zed killing capabilities. While it fairs well against them, it is still outclassed by the other tier 4s in terms of consistency, accuracy and efficiency. In my option, the weapons are balanced since the recoil is tough to manage, and it's range and bullet spread are subpar compared to other weapons. Overall, they are an enjoyable edition to Gunslinger.
More uploads to come later this season, I'd like to return to this map and take advantage of the dark hopefully in a future upload down the line.

Hey mate, thanks for going out of your way to do this and to showcase the map in its intended form. It really means a lot. The changes made to the map were incredibly disrespectful and it shows TWI have completely lost touch with the core of the game and the community; they still haven't responded to the overwhelming feedback received from the original video.
I appreciate all the positive support I've received from the community over this, and I'm glad that my map's original design philosophy will reach a larger audience now. I just wish it could have originally happened when the map was added officially...

@@Psych0Gamers Well I understand that open maps are too easy - this isn't black ops the zombies aren't bullet sponges. So the added difficulty of narrow hallways adds to the challenge. I'm pretty new to the game though, so I might not reached the point yet where it becomes irritating. I do get clipped a lot by those filler assets like coils of rope, shipping containers n shit.

But there is no crosshair so it makes us harder to practice your aim. Also it uses percentage based ads speed which also messes you up
@@Cody-hr1xi you can toggle the crosshair, it's just off by default. Besides, I feel like having no crosshair is much better for aim training cause you learn to sense where the center of your screen is

I play both KF and Payday 2 and Payday is way easier to aim. I feel KF hip aiming a bit weird

It's incredibly satisfying watching you shoot those zeds and pop their heads. Your accuracy with guns is just out of this world, it's like a human aimbot. Just amazing.
8:15 Imagine trying to run through this yard in TWI version. The yard is now filled with container barricades and every corner behind each container is a spawn point. You will be overrun from all direction since the Zeds literally appear in your face.
The TWI (I would not call it official since I feel workshop version fits the title better) version of this map is intentionally and maliciously altered.
So that's what felt different
Because they very well did disrespect Delta au and change a shit ton of the map, you can see it in the pinned comment, which is from Delta au himself that has a comparison video of how much TWI destroyed the map in terms of balance.
TW just follow their core design. And if you scratch your brain you may understand why. Original map is too open. It makes easy to abuse long range perks and be always is safe distance. From here comes next problem - close combat perks/weapon no place in here. TW made their map version playable for all types of playstyle, and actually balanced.
P.S.: And you shouldn't really running circles in your normal online matches.
Original Desolation was too easy. On the other hand Nuked beta was harder and bigger.
@@attractivegd9531 Adding difficulty does not equal to making the map toxic. TWI cannot tell the difference between challenge and frustration.
Damn dude. Just started playing this today and thought the game was just super tough even for medium but still felt like a beast as the gunslinger. Now i see this video and 10 seconds in i know how high the bar is set

@@DIY_Miracle I have few hundread hours on kf 1 and while i liked kf1 while playing multiplayer,kf1 is just too hard for solo playing(atleast for me),you get one hit from flesh pound and u r dead,same with patriarch,kf2 is just more solo friendly and thats good,also kf2 has some good difficulty changes,its not just about zombies dealing more damage but the way they move,attack etc,kf 2 seems more interesting for me,but i love kf1 aswell

One of my favourite things about Gunslinger is how much of a BAMF you feel like just whipping out headshots without aiming down the sights, you just snap off a casual four headshots and feel so damn good about it.

What is your in game sensitivity and dpi because you have clean spray transfers. I’m having a hard time finding my sensitivity and would like to try yours.

In game sensitivity: 9
ADS Sensitivity: 0.75
with mouse acceleration turned off
sensivity is personnal. Copying another one will not help. It take time to your brain to record it, you have to take one and play many thousand of hours.

Wow, first time watching a KF2 PC game, like how fast you can melee and you can’t knock an enemy off the edge. PS4 melee is much slower. Also like the shorter/quicker hand gestures for the 1858 revolver. Hella-wicked job popping all those heads!

How come you use steady over quick draw? Are there any inherent advantages it has over quick draw?
I believe it’s for the movement bonuses when ADS, hip firing is accurate enough anyway so there’s not much reason to choose quick draw.
@@Tomohran Quick Draw is miles better than Steady lmao, QD gives you sprinting speed, draw speed and recoil reduction buffs. Fatcat’s just built different so he uses Steady, for most people QD is the clear winner.
