Sasha Sagan on Finding Meaning

- The search for meaning may be central to human life, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy, even for a searcher as well equipped as Sasha Sagan. The daughter of the late astronomer Carl Sagan and writer/producer Ann Druyan, Sagan grew up in a family attuned to the wonder of the natural world. When she herself became a mother, she drew from her childhood nature lessons to create a set of rituals for her daughter, activities that also inspired her family to appreciate the beauty in small things. Sagan’s ideas, captured in her new book, For Small Creatures Such as We, will invite us all to celebrate life, love, and the power of mindful observation.

Its nice to see Sasha continue the legacy her father left for humanity.
What an insightful book.
She is so intelligent, and adorable as well.
And she is sexy too.
@@bosmith1820 wicked smart and sexc
Yes, definitely
A favourite daughter of very famous parents!
We must never lose that sense of awe, ever!
And enthusiasm too..
WoW - she is the image of her mother! And what a brilliant book concept! 💥
Wonderful book ❤
I am impressed that John texts her leaving his office and says "on the way." That can be nice and romantic. Too many get totally carried away with texting nonsense these days that goes on and on.
Oh my Sagan, I think I'm in love.
Yeah she is fine af.
You go girl !!!!!!
Best wishes to you ❤ and thx
She speaks so well.♥
Well, what do you expect from an well educated woman, she's not retard!
Very cute, and smart, woman.
A lot like her father

you dont find meaning but make it, duh
Good luck
@@nemgyuri : good luck in making meaning? what you on about? it's not some silly pithy single meaning that you give to life, lol.
you need luck. you're lost. plenty of snakeoil pushers to inspire and befuddle you.
Its Off topic but, gotta say... I got a Lil crush now
That anthropologist really thought they did something there.. go away 🙄😂
From this distant vantage point…
So much not like your father .. yet so much fun
что то они зачистили по нашей улице.. в холод..
not that deep in my opinion. I rather read something from Friedrich Nietzsche, Carl Sagan, Jordan Peterson or Hermann Hesse.
Yeah she's still young. Hope she gets wise as she grows older.
I don't know... she just seems to be living in the middle of this huge bubble where the struggles of real life just never show up; like someone who has never needed the Lord's mercy in an obvious way. Lord, bring your people back to you and I pray you won't allow them to fool others in silly doctrines of man, Lord. Lord allow your chosen people , sons and daughters of Abraham, to know you and come back to you Lord. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ .
Annoying voice unfortunately.
She wants religion/spirituality minus the metaphysical part. That´s a recipe for disappointment.
No
No, it's a recipe for reality.
You really didn't listen to all she said, right? She's literally a secular humanist...
@@FaiaHalo Of course I did. But what she wants is to keep aspects of religion/spirituality like rituals, to give meaning to life. However, she removes from the equation the thing that actually gives those rituals meaning, which is Transcendence/God/Metaphysics. Thus, she is focusing on the aspect that is actually least important in religion spirituality/religion, leading to disappointment, because the end goal of those rituals was removed.
@@santiagovelez1997 not really. If I follow those rituals taking the part with no evince of its existence, or supernatural part (god, transcendence) out, it's just another ritual, like she says. Like the ritual of blowing candles asking for a wish during birthday celebrations. That's a Wiccan ritual, but most people don't even tell their children that, and nothing happens.
