- Al Young, Visitor Experience Assistant at the #RAFMuseum #Cosford, tells the gripping story of the #Polish contribution to the #RAF during #WW2.
In our video, Al explains how Polish airmen were driven from their homeland and made their way to Britain. They joined the RAF, wearing the Polish #badge becoming highly successful in the #BattleOfBritain. They continued to serve the RAF until the end of the war. To keep up their morale nuns from #Wilno in #Poland created a banner that was smuggled to Britain in a diplomatic bag and presented to the Polish #squadrons.
The RAF Museum has always been committed to telling the story of the Polish in the RAF and will continue to do so. Poland has not forgotten her heroes and neither should we.
