Fun fact: The title of this episode is based on a song title again, the song in question being 'Cold Wait' by Ian Pooley. Just a random fact that nobody cares about. Puns away!
@@TheArtmaster67 you Mean Hannah's trouble with poor coal? I guess when its her time to be repaired the engineers could do something with her bast pipe if she does not mind them doing any modifications
Funny how things come around. This could quite easily be a real story in a couple of years with the current coal situation going on in the heritage scene
From the description, I now get what you mean when you said things were going to get interesting and they certainly are. Edit: Unless I'm mistaken, that silhouetted engine at the end looks a lot like Colossus.
I think Brian is immune from the coal because he is a standard 4 as in he was built to run on low-quality coal and maintenance in short he was built for this.
My prediction is that with it's main engines out of action, Zeke may have to borrow other preserved engines to fill in. I was originally hoping Zeke may have to give in and bring a modern diesel to the railway, like a Class 56 or Class 57 but somehow I don't think that will happen.
They should bring back Barry as Caracas smash is still on his mainline tours. Also Leno, Ed and Sid are all on heratage lines especially Leno as he's on on a quite developed line (Keighley and Worth Valley railway). So Leno and Barry are probably the best bet as Ed and Sid are on a new line that is very underdeveloped and Smash is probably operating on the mainline

Oh! That's cool
the BR standard steam locomotives was designed to steam on bad quality steam coal.

poor Hanah i
Seriously, I think Clyde’s hatred for De La Trip is turning into an obsession now
I love the snappy conversation with Dave at the beginning! The part where Hannah is threatened to withdrawal caught me off guard
I'll be watching this either Saturday night or Sunday morning. Looking forward to it 🙂
TDRS just keeps getting better. Great work Tom

steam railways and owners of traction engines have had trouble with bad coal in the past and I guess it will be more of a problem in the future?
Jesus Christ Tom, I could've sworn you were sick as hell with that coughing. It was very convincing.
another excellently written episode. A nice pickle for the railway to be in, storywise.
Yes yes yess new episode is coming
Another spectacular episode! :D Excellent work Tom! 👍
pov: your then soon to be soul of rick and dave will tell everybody that you are gonna be built
the great depression, dark railway edition.
Ohhh you two little buggers!
3:07 a reference to the 1984/85 miners strike?

Calling it now, Goose is probably going to find and the steal the Twins’ stash of coal
Yep

Absolutely spot on, I reckon!
to my knowledge Austerity, BR Standard, LMS and most LNER designs can use low-quality coal. Due to the size and shape of their firebox
forgot to add they will burn more coal and need to get the fire cleaned out more often though
@@ajwffc anyway most standards are based of lms designs. Mainly because Riddles was Stanier's apprentice
Awesome! Love it!

Dela trip fire be like : right ima get out from here.
its horrible that Thoe and Otto have a large supply of good quailty steam
When did DeLa Trip get painted black I thought he was painted in Southern Green
I wonder if Clyde overheard Theo and Otto........
You could of had Hanna turned on a oiler burners for a try
At least it wasn’t American coal,I would be concern for their fireboxs
You know, I hope we do find out someday the reason why Clyde hates Trip so much.
Watch Season 8 Ep 3
@@EpicBanastard I have. Since then, everyone else seems to have moved on from it, yet Clyde stills holds onto a deep personal grudge towards him.
Did rhys make spandex compulsory for the coal miners again. Seems legit
Poor bellatrip
*De la Trip*
Tom did you accidentally give yourself an actual cough during this episode?
I'm an actual smoker so I just recorded myself having a normal coughing fit for Abomination :P

Let me guess that coal came from Poland!
1. Warrior is a lovely bloke
2. Didn't Hannah do a SPAD
3. You being a smoker does show why you can do the voices for Colossus, and Caracus Smash.
What year is this episode based in.
I don’t know but I’ll say mid to late 70s
