- A bench fit for a princess! I transformed a humble homemade bench into a royal seat. Drawing on inspiration from the beautiful castles of northern Europe, I used paint, decoupage paper, stencils, decor transfers and stamps to create a piece of functional art.

Copenhagen is a beautiful and amazing city! The rest of Denmark looks like Indiana to me except there are some castles in Denmark. LOL On a serious note, I really enjoy Denmark and its rich history and culture.

You did an incredible job! Your vision is amazing. I think that bench is a marriage of a headboard and a backless bench.
I bought it through fb marketplace in Copenhagen from an American woman from south Jersey (from a town I’ve been to many times) and she bought the bench originally in Mexico. I was going to give it a Mexican spin but changed course.

Well- it may or may not involve graffiti. However the bench has the possibility of either a new home or an art space visit so once I work out those details.

Just gorgeous! I’m not a fan of decoupage but your combining them with transfers and stencils and paint blending has me thinking I may have to try it.
Thanks Kathy. I’m not a fan of decoupage when it looks like decoupage. For me it needs to look like I didn’t just stick it there. Same for transfers.

Wow!!! Gorgeous. I can't get DIY paint in Italy, but I can get Annie Sloan and Dixie Belle. Some IOD transfers are available in the EU, but not many. I love what you did with the layering. Very daring and not over the top at all. Following you. 🙏🙏🙏. PS. Are you still in Denmark? If so, how did you get DIY paint? Hope to see what you added to the bench.
Hello and thanks for watching! I am still in Denmark but will move back to the US this summer. I'm a DIY Paint retailer in the US and I was able to continue that because I was only living in Denmark for a year and a half. I shipped all my paint over before I left the States. I decided not to add anything else to the bench.

oh and you make getting clay out of the mold easy. totally copying your technique.
I know other people use corn starch to dust their molds but I find that just turning it upside down and rolling it works best for me. Hopefully it’ll work just as well for you too.
