My DS, also just out of warranty has this too. Took it to my local independent LR specialist who diagnosed a broken wire in the DPF - there's a Service Recall from Land Rover about this, issued in June, concerning over-tight wiring leading to breakage. Mine's is now booked into main dealer next Friday for fix which should be paid for by Land Rover. Fingers crossed!
Brother I have same vehicle same issue. I check my gas cap which is not close properly and air come in so thats why this engine sign pop up. Go and check your gas cap.And close and tight again.i hope you don't loose money
Got it fixed under warranrty, was just in warranty , was EGR filter, would have cost about £1k at dealer. But guess what? 6months later light came on again, not done naything about it since, nmot driven it much, probabily will cost me, will try and find a none dealer LR garage i.e. better than kiwk fit, maybe cost me £500? £600? These bloody land rovers are little princesses, not the tough land rovers of the movies!
Thank you for your reply, I managed to fix it under warranty too. Mine needed the cleaning of DPF. My car dealer/seller paid for it. Surprisingly the bill was only £288.00, it was done by a Land Rover garage too. I am hopping it will not appear again soon. Hopefully, this DPF cleaning will last long. I wouldn’t recommend driving with that light on the dashboard. Your car may go on limp mode soon. Get some DPF cleaner from Halford put it with fuel and drive on Motor way for at least 40 mins , that might solve...👍
EGR is a design flaw! why the f did they make is such a pain in the butt to access, should have been something any owner can do without having to use a garage
Get a obd2 scanner, I did a video on one that works with land rovers that cost £50 told me whats wrong without paying anyone! ruclips.net/video/7QWEGDL29U0/видео.html
With the ignition on / engine off I can hear a wierd noise coming from the exhaust system so it may be the catalytic convertor, anyway will do an update once the dealer has had a look at it.
Always buy when under warranty else you are taking a big risk, so less than 3 years, around 18 months to 2 years old will ensure you don't get hit with a big bill.

Good to hear, but had MOT done in July and nothing about a recall then, so maybe does not apply to mine? anyway will read up pn the recall.
Mine came up today
3 years 9 months 29k
My light is always on as always . What kind a fault it could be . Car is drivable. Is it engine fault ?
Have you tried, disconnecting the battery and leaving the car over night and then reconnect it. Sometimes this can reset the engine management.
I’m in the same boat... what was the result?
Please let us know what happens

It’s the DPF glogging up the EGR filter….. Landrover have updated the ECU to help DPF regen
DPF or probably a sensor right next to oil release
I have same problem, it’s so headache mine is 28000.😖
I am currently having a same issue, could you please upload or comment, how did you manage to solve it?

If it is only the sensor, try doing what I said earlier with the battery, and it should work. Good luck 🏴🚗👍
It had a problem with it, apparently it's quite common! These disco sports arn't made to last.
Same issue for my 2019 Discovery. Besides the engine light the vehicle failed an emissions inspection. 😠

@@Quantum_AI_Tech have you had the problem sorted? I broken down yesterday because of power loss.
I’ve taken it back to the dealer a total of 6 times for the same chronic issue. The dealership seems to be clueless on how to handle this.
Its a design flaw.
Please update soon.... worried owner here.🙏

That's 8 minutes I never get back...
