I vividly remember having my spoonful of polio vaccine when I was about 5 years old. When I was little Polio was still a very real disease all around the world including Australia. I knew a girl who wore callipers as a result of Polio and I Can Jump Puddles was a part of the Primary School curriculum. To my knowledge we do not have Polio here in Australia any more. I'm 60 now and thank goodness for Scientists and Medical Research all the time. Now, in the times we live in, it's fitting that we remember and appreciate all the Good Medical Scientists have given us.
My daughter is in a wheelchair and he's very inspiring. The way he does interviews is truly enjoyable to watch 😊.
