Florida East Coast Railway's New Paint Scheme...

Recently, Florida East Coast Railway (FEC) has received a new paint scheme! (And I don't like it)

They didn't copy Ferromex, FEC is owned by the same company who owns Ferromex. This led to them making the same generic paint scheme for both railroads.

yup, i was right in what i just said. GrupoMexico owned railroad that extracts Copper from the Toquepala & Cuajone mines in Southern Peru, and delivers them to the Ilo port, in Moquegua. Notable for having GE U23B & EMD standard cab SD70s, and being the only railroad in the entire country with working railroad crossing signals.

I've always liked the Ferromex paint scheme, and I think the new FEC one looks pretty good too. I just think it's a shame that we'll be loosing the unique livery on FEC and getting this new one that's so similar to the other.

For those who don't know it, both Ferromex and FEC are owned by the same company, Grupo Mexico. It's no surprise the color schemes look similar.

We're lucky to have FEC still even if its owned by a Mexican group. I am sad to see that they are going to differ from the real paint scheme but I'm sure it hits well with press.

I personally think the livery looks amazing on the Gevo's but shouldn't be used on the Geeps. FEC should keep a few engines in heritage blue and champion colors as well.

Sometimes railroads just are forced *idk if they were forced tho* to make livery changes, like airlines did when they were kinda forced to change to a livery called the *eurowhite* which is basically the whole plane painted white, with the airline name on the side and the logo on the tail

When it comes to the new paintscheme, I'm not sure what the designers were smoking, but they better stop. That new paintscheme is worse than terrible, to say the least. Do those light Blue/Green arrows glow in the dark too??? Change it back to the Champion colors!
