This my friends is the embodiment of the great American dream. Ali, you’re a creative entrepreneur and America needs people like you. Thanks for posting this video, Mr. Rowe.
I like it 💪✌️
Agree
I'm 31 now and grew up on Mike Rowe, never fails to entertain me!
Thanks for the years of awesome content!
agreed
I mean, the guys voice...I could listen to him read a phone book.
I really like how he keeps things down to earth and how "regular guy" he is towards people. It's clean, simple, respectful and fun 👍
I totally agree with you. And as a carpenter by trade, I'm just a regular guy lol
5:42 Love how mike's face changes when he hears how he started out and can see in his eye that is the American dream from starting from nothing to being something
I love Mikes shirt "stop making stupid people famous"
Where can we buy that shirt?
@@garciamadrid9040 honestly no idea. But I'm sure if you typed into Google something would pop up
Working hard with integrity = success! Good show, Mike! I couldn’t pedal a bike for an hour, all day and my legs would fall off! LOL. God bless this young man and his family!
I think that we have to start pedaling our own bikes for our health and well-being and to show support for our entrepreneurs and work force that work is the essential part in rebuilding this country to greatness.
People like this man are exactly who made America great to begin with and will continue to do so. Well done, sir, thank you for the amazing example you set. May your hard work and good fortune never desert you.
Ali gave my kids' 100 year old grandmother a pedicab ride back in the early 2000's in SD. She giggled and laughed like a school girl! It was priceless!
Mike you have impressed me for years. You are a talented man but when the guy told you his story ,I could see the pride in your face of American spirit and hard work! Thank you sir for what you do!
“Your safety is among our priorities”
That got me.
I kept waiting for the "embarrassing" bit, but this whole episode is just very Mike Rowe wholesome goodness. 🫡
Mike, you are absolutely one of the country's treasures. Wholesome as it gets and legitimately the best voice/narration throughout the entire industry from TV to anything on the internet. Thanks for what you do!
When I read pedicab I honestly thought getting a pedicure in a cab ride.
Work ethic, something a lot of Americans need to learn about
One of my favorite memories is taking my then-10 yr old granddaughter to Savannah, GA and taking a pedi-cab ride from Leopold's Ice Cream Shop to our hotel. Those folks have calves of steel!
It's pretty flat down here. Love Leopold's. Did they give you Leopold's Hollywood back story?
@kathymcmc yes! It was fascinating. A fun place.
Another winning show! Working hard pays off, despite what too many think!
I got a much different picture in my head with “pedi-cab”. I’m glad I was wrong.
Wow! $500 when he landed in tne US and now he is a successful business man. Congratulations! Great episode!
Hey Mikey! I liked this video a lot! A very unique way to "Pedal your way to fame"
Mikey, thank you for all that your team and you do. Cheers, Mate.
Way to go Ali! You are an inspiration to the true meaning of the American dream!!💕
Could you do a whole season of stories like this today? AMERICA needs this spirit to be celebrated.
With Respect and Love, You are in my prayers
Hoka Hey
Congratulations! I am so happy for you. God bless. 👍
1,000 views in 25 minutes should tell you how likable Mike Rowe is.
2,500 in less than an hour. What a legend!
Ok Mike you need to get this down to your mom’s place. She’d love having you ride her around the place!
Love Mike❤
Instead of getting "free" everything, this man and his family worked hard and what a surprise, success! Mike is great.
It’s your pencil improv all over again!! You are so quick witted! Nailed it AGAIN!! AND, you got hired AGAIN!!
This was so great. Now I need a new exercise plan. 😂❤
In all honesty, this is probably your best episode of SGDI so far. Always a fan
Great episode! Thanks Mike and everyone else❤
When Mike asked what the "light" bike was called and then said it needed a better name, how about a play on "Turkish De-light Bike"
Mr. Rowe, never stop being you and the videos that you do! Never stop inspring just about anybody to continue to do what they do. 👍
I was in tears when you called yourself a B-list celebrity. Mike, you will always be on my A-list! Great video.
Living the American Dream, I love this show

God Bless ALL Hard Working Americans🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
God Bless Mike Rowe🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Great story. Wish they were there when I lived in San Diego back in the 80's...lol . Would have used them alot going from the base to the beach. Cheers . Keep it up.
This is so rad. Thank you Mike Rowe.
Amazingly creative!
Mike you never disappoint.
It's a great thing seeing people succeed!
❤❤ great story!
Saddle Sore is REAL. Great story. 🎶💐💖
Mike,your awesome 👌Never a dull moment.
Rode in a pedicab in Berlin. Wonderful experience, and faster than following the road as they could zip through the parks.
An immigrant from Turkey... putting to shame native born American's in virtues and work ethic values. I'm 70, I grew up in an era where if you didn't work, you didn't eat or have a place to live, and it was the unquestioned societal rule that you did your best to avoid.
Now days, people expect or feel entitled to be bailed out… Whether it is still living at home with your parents at age 25 (or more) or expecting free social program handouts, such as "universal basic income (UBI)", that's being handed out without any requirement to do anything, in order to earn it.
My self-pride and sense of self-sufficiency would never allow me to accept a UBI handout, unless I was truly down and out, after exhausting all avenues to earn my own way. For many, "homelessness" is a chosen lifestyle, and not due to unfortunate circumstances that were beyond their control.
The expression of pride on Mike Rowe's face, as Ali tells his story, says it all.
MIke, love your shirt. Your mech store should have that.
I love it!!❤❤❤
Wonderful.
God bless my freind,go for it bro😊
Ali, is a great mentor of mine. Amazing guy to know, the true definition of success and the American Dream.
The cab with the lights could be called Turkish delight. Get it? De Light for the lights 😊
Love the shirt Mike
Good for him I love hearing about people beating the odds when it seems so many decide to take the easy road now days. I was living in my car with zero $ to my name at 19yo and now being 36 I have managed to make well into the 6 figures with an amazing son and I owe it all to hard work even when I was told no 1,000 times. If you want something bad enough you will find a way.
‘23’ gotta love the kids!
Great story.
Im 36 now I grew up watching Mike Row sir u are a legend
QUIT MAKING STUPID PEOPLE FAMOUS.
Love you Mike. Thank you for shining light on the wonderful people who make up this country.
Hey !!! A Car2go Smart Car 8:07 😜👍🏻
This must have been recorded before 2020 for sure
This is amazing. Made his own sign shop in house by just figuring it out. Makes his own bikes. American dream right there. Amazing. Get it dude!
Ali is a tenacious guy. This is what America opportunity looks like. Good for you Ali.
How smart!!
I'll bet your butt was hurting after filming this episode! All the very best MR!
I'll never get to do it but a pedicab ride would be so very nice to experience.
This one was really cool and from my home town.
Have something similar to this in Atlantic City New Jersey on the board they're called rolling chairs. They've been around since the 1880s. You have a person that wants a ride from point a to point b. They get into this large chair like a big couch. There's a person that will push you along the boardwalk to your destination.
What an inspiration! $500 and a dream.... Good for Ali!
Ok, that was a pretty good one.
THAT is the great American Success Story! ✌🏻
These are the best rides back to hotel or parking lot after a concert in Atlanta or a football game.
I hope they are more regulated in the US
These things are unregulated and cause chaos in central London. They have no regulations, no insurance for customers or other vehicles, no safety rules, no set price per mile and can just rip people off.
Love this video... Wonder how many crossing our southern border will work that hard?
I wish my family had a cool family business like this one.😊
start your own ,what is stopping you ?
I just realized, I was smiling that whole video......... what a different job
Mikes shirt is such a true Statement lol
“stop making stupid people famous” lol
If you're in NYC, you're making a fortune... $5/min.
I need to ride one of these
Hey Mike I just thought you should know that the commercial being shown on this Somebody's Gotta Do It video was for Gibson whiskey. Not Knobel Tennessee Whiskey. 😱
I live in SD, and I can tell you that you missed Petco Park by literally a mile when you dropped off the first pair of ladies.
You dropped them where the cruise ships dock.
Hmmm, be careful Mr. Combs. Your team is just looking out for you. There could have been more research on your teams part in dealing with this lawsuit but…just be careful! ❤
Glad you didn’t have to peddle someone all the way to the airport in that! 😂❣️ I wonder how one pays for their ride?
With money
Fake it til you make it, Mike!
Turkish PediLite…sounds good
Best dude ever
mike rowe for santa 2023
Seems like rear view mirrors would be useful on those bikes.
I can't believe he missed the opportunity to say...
"High, I'm Mike, this is my brother, Matt and my other brother, Matt."
I guess he was to focused on being, kind of safe, sort of...
...If you want to call ot that.
😉
The more I make up, the more my friends learn - Jay Straw
in other words, i feel like i meet the requirement of being talkative and able to make things up
Cool Idea I'd change the name of it though.
Nice shirt
20 years in this country and he made it ! so whats with all the B.S. kids that wont even get a job.
Way to go Ali!
Zero hand signals Zero excuse me, excuse me I'm coming through. So much more not done. Nothing
Great story and it proves the best known fact that you get out of life what you put into it. Wake up you bunch of couch potatoes living at home with your Mama’s ( Go To Work) Thanks Mike go home and break out the mussel rub.
Ali is an inspiration!
