    No matter what y'all say Kobe is the greatest to come along after MJ. And I'm pretty sure MJ knew that if he left Kobe would take over his spot, not as The G.O.A.T but the person who has the torch passed him to continue and somewhat also re-create a new era of basketball. Michael was great in his era, and Kobe is the greatest of this era. Till the day Kobe Bryant retires, basketball will not be the same. But than you got these guys who changed the game, for instance, LeBron James. Freakishly gifted in athletic ways, Kevin Durant who could fire the ball from many different angles and score at will. List goes on with gifted and talented players in the league. Include the fact that there's still a lot of talent coming in every year. We are still determined to see who will be the greatest of this year and so forth. But after Kobe leaves leaves the nba satisfied, he won't have to worry bout competition. Why? Cause he played his heart out and made statements by breaking records, not just to make a name for himself but to also become greater than the one before. Its pretty obvious everybody wants to become greater than the one before. MJ set the limits for a shooting gaurd, and Kobe continued. Now it's up to whoever wants it the most. And what they're willing to do when the torch gets passed on to them. To become the best, you have to beat the best. We'll see how all these guys compete for that top spot once Kobe leaves. #KOBEBRYANT #GOAT

      @noahsiknezz502 9 лет назад

      Kevin Durant is not in the same category as LeBron, Magic, Jordan, Bryant, and The Big O because he needs to be a better all around player. He averages 3-4 assist but drops 30 and is called a pure scorer. Kobe does that and he's a ball hog. But KDi is still young

    • @realitycheck12em
      @realitycheck12em 9 лет назад

      Yeah I strongly agree with your statement that he needs to be a better all around player. And yeah he been called a ball hog and I don't mind watching Kobe doin that post-up turn around fade away, cause it reminds of the way MJ played. And nowadays everybody is fixed on that 3 point shot more than the mid range game.

      Ryan Terry I seriously doubt that! Jordan's pt avg would fall off the last 5-7 yrs of his career if he would have played 20. Guards pile up too many miles on their legs. Your shot starts coming up short, your a half step slow, etc. Only man that had a shot at 40 would have been Wilt. He could have played another 5 yrs easy. Not only that but teams wanted him to play. That would have gotten him around 37 thou. And 30 thousand rebounds too!!!

    • @williamhsieh3547
      @williamhsieh3547 9 лет назад +1

      King Nate that's because Lebron is a different type of player to Kobe and MJ. Lebron is far more efficient in scoring and gets good numbers in rebounding and assists. LeBron is also a leader and game changer, his efficiency per game is incredible which makes him a very valuable player to his team. In my opinion, I would take Kobe on 1v1 skills, offensive skills, dribbling skills, ball-handling skills. But if I want to choose one of them on my team, I'd choose LeBron. Lebron's court presence and dominance in transition, IQ and vision is just ridiculous. In terms of clutch, Lebron has been improving his confidence in clutch situations over the years but I'd still take Kobe over Lebron in the clutch.

    Anyone else notice the NY fan saying, "You killed em' tonight". Shows how even when you destroy a guys team, people have huge respect for a true talent in the game. I prefer Lebron but even I can say I think Bryant is the better scorer, not offensively as a whole but definitely as a scorer.

    his high shooting percentage now, is also a result of how good players he has around him... After Shaq leaved for Miami, and before he got Pau, he carried the team far more then he does now, and took a lot of shots... this was necessary for tha lakers to win, it isn't now

    Everyone can argue about Kobe, or even argue about Kobe and Lebron, but the fact is, Kobe is definitely one of the greatest players to play this game, and no-one can really take that away from him. You can try arguing about things he does wrong, but he's still one of the best.

    Can we please just stop comparing MJ and Kobe? They are both legends. No one is better than the other. Both made their team win, neither of them can do it alone. Respect both of them, no point in comparing how both of them played, how many points they have made, how many rings they have, etc. They play differently, both have different ways to win and to be the best. Some of you might disagree but the point is we have to respect all the things they HAVE achieved during their career.
