I will be in either Rome or Dalton next week to take my CDL exam.. watching your channel over the past several years contributed to my decision to pursue my CDL .. thx !
Doesn’t matter if it’s behind the wheel of a truck or behind a desk, still like following in your adventures in this crazy industry we work in. Great to have you back!
Appreciate you taking the time to share this story. I've seen some videos where drivers abandon their trucks and companies have to search to find them, sometimes finding them in very poor condition. I really enjoyed when you would say "that's behind the scenes stuff" during your videos. Since I know nothing about what went on behind the scenes with this driver, I will not judge them. I'll give them credit for not trashing that truck. Your right about adventures, they are always a good time. Lastly, enjoy your life after trucking, you deserve it.
Life after ... anything is a challenge. I am trying to figure how to do after 39 yrs of nursing when myositis fatigue and weakness made working impossible on the terms they want. Son looked up to you when he first started trucking 18+ mos ago but mega crappy carrier had slip seated him 8 times in 12 mos, still left him broken down and stranded on the road 3 times, stranded in UT without load out for days on end, held in terminal in PA sleeping on chair 3 days at their insistence. Next carrier truck was good for all 5 mos but dispatch abuse in blizzard when he was exhausted after turning and burning months on end... he drove by a bad wreck and decided he wanted to live to see his 29th birthday and quit. We salute you for getting out safely.
Keep on doing great videos Mr.Indiana Jack.... I worked for a produce company closed to Tifton, by the 112 in Rebecca,GA. I used to load the produce trucks by hand, there the big trucks began to attract attention. It was a very hard job. I remember that the boss used to shout "to the roof" ... meaning from nose to tail all the way to the roof ...that was long time ago... good memories...
glade to see you back Jack . truck videos have went nuts trying to find you . Glad to see the Pete not damaged .take care we will see you down the road .
It's so good to watch you again. I watch the other Trucking shows but even my wife likes the sound of your voice. There's something soothing about you that makes life good. Please keep up the videos.
As always nice to see a new video. I got a kick out of seeing an Advance Transportation trailer at 1:48. A good small company I drive for out of Chicago land.
It's really nice to have you back Jack. A very enjoyable ride and adventure. "Life after Trucking". I like it. Thank you for sharing once again. I look forward to the next adventure.
Life after trucking😏 means I now get to sit home with my disability and wait on trucking hubby to come home every week. I do miss it, but I think I miss the old days of it🙃. Keep the shiny side up!! God bless!
man, I just love watching your videos Jack, you are the best! and thank you for sharing with us, as I know you are busy. Life after trucking is still an adventure.
Jack, that's an understatement ,, about having another adventure next week in trucking. The next adventures seem never ending when you talking trucking,, If it's not one thing it's another. Thanks for the video. Did you dead head back I wonder? Bet the company wanted the unit back,, and the unit back in service with a new driver in the cab pulling the better pay'n freight outbound and not worrying about fuel money loads to get back to the barn.
It's really refreshing to see someone enjoy real QUALITY OF LIFE nowadays! It is the "little things" that make a difference. Can't stand the high paced, cut-throat shallowness of a lot people these days. Jack shows that life CAN BE and IS enjoyable. Life is VERY SHORT. Keep up the great work Jack ! Of course I Subscribed !
Good video. Reminds me of a show from a few years back, it was about people who went out and found abandoned rig's and got paid by whatever company that hired em for either bringing the truck back and/or delivery of the load.
Great to have an update from you Jack. I miss the old trucking videos. I wish there was another channel that would truck me across America like you did. Suggestions would be appreciated.
I really enjoyed this. So glad you are back, you are a great asset as being a driver and OO you can do any task that comes along. Life after trucking is a perfect new title for your adventures. I will enjoy anything hou post as i am also enjoying life after trucking.
I picked up a trucker once while running as a paramedic, and took him to the local hospital. Never thought about his truck. I guess he probably was one of the abandoned trucks someone else had to recover.
A good video Jack it is good to see you back behind the wheel I can’t understand some drivers and why they ruin their DAC reports by abandoning a truck some place I hate the fact that having health problems put me out of trucking and I miss it everyday
I preside in Conley GA , I use to truck to Ats Specialized flatbed I also had a pete.nice truck retired 2014. going back to do something after a while it gets boring.
Good to see ya out there again. If only for one trip. Can't believe people can't follow through with their commitment and just ditch a truck. Not good. See you next time
Ro here with 9 line transportation.. just ran across your channel and would like to get to know ya, life after trucking huh .... looks like your far from it lol .. hope to hear from ya . great video and old school music felt like I was surfing ....... MURICA!!!🇺🇸🇨🇱
I did a recovery for my company yrs ago. I brought the truck back to the yard the shop cleaned it out and informed me there was marijuana in it. I never did a recovery again.
You waited a half hour for Mexican take out? Wow! Judging by your over all shots of the place, it didn't look busy in there. I like the carved back rests on the chairs and some of the other decorations. That big rig that pulled in that was decorated with an eagle and our flag pulling what looked like golf carts, some of those carts were modified, but I couldn't tell what they were for. They had a boxed in area in the back with a bin on the bottom and some smaller doors like cabinets. What were they for? I imagine they might be food carts to bring food items to golfers on a large golf field. Or are they lockers to keep a golfer's clubs and other equipment secure? Maybe they're not for golfing at all.
It's great to hear from you again. Nice music! You know you can get better Mexican food than that down here in Laredo. It's getting kinda hot here though...don't you miss I-35?
@@indianajack Yes Jack, unfortunately it is. Added to the cost of living has skyrocketed. Auburndale/Winter Haven/Lakeland used to be great places to live. Not any more. One of the main reasons I became an OTR driver.
yea truck recovery can be pretty scary. i had to retrieve one in Indy and when i showed up to get it,there were deputies all over it. apparently the driver had threatened to shoot anyone who came to get it. it did resolve peacefully, but i was a little unnerved
There was a local 51 year old driver who went missing in Alabama. The truck he was driving was found parked on an exit ramp with his wallet and other personal items. He was found at his home. He apparently quit without bothering to tell anyone.
I know this is an old video but did you bring those golf carts back to Calhoun and if you did where do they sell them at over there I need one!! I live about 18 miles East of Calhoun

Hello there from Westminster MD
I did a recovery for my company yrs ago. I brought the truck back to the yard the shop cleaned it out and informed me there was marijuana in it. I never did a recovery again.
MOONSHADOW 1918 got real lucky on that one brother.
It was loaded with marijuana?
Or you found some seeds in the carpet?
I'll volunteer, business comes first.
Well don't leave your weed in the truck next time.
My late father was on the board of directors of Cummins Inc. and XTRA INC. Piggyback Trailers in the area of corporate finance.

Indiana Jack is the man... though I detect some melancholy in his voice. Hope all is well my friend. Peace. Godspeed.
It's great to hear from you again. Nice music! You know you can get better Mexican food than that down here in Laredo. It's getting kinda hot here though...don't you miss I-35?
Better Tex Mex is in San Antonio, only 2 hours away from Laredo.
Back in the saddle again. Good to see the Jack back.
Hauled a lot of carpeting out of Calhoun Ga years ago and brought it back to Agusta Maine
Cool video
Awesome adventure
Dat grey truck dat was pulling all them golf carts is fkn awsome!!

Enjoyed the video! Could you link the music in the description? I really liked it. Would be great for a farm video.
All the music I use is available on RUclips. If you go to the Creator section in RUclips you will find it.

here’s come Indiana jack on Road again .. just can’t wait to get on road again.👍👋
What would it cost you to recover an abandoned truck if you had to hire a company to retrieve it? Glad you’re back!
