I may be atheist but this show still has wonderful messages if you look hard enough. I mean this clip for instance is telling you that you need to be yourself, your own person. Those who expect otherwise are just manipulating you. Whether you believe in God or not, that is very important to remember for anyone.

I don't think there is any inherent purpose to being born, it's the logical conclusion to pregnancy that isn't unique to humans and that we each find our own purpose for living as we grow up. What I don't get is why we're born into a mortal body to serve God for almost a century (if one lives that long), then we die and continue to serve God, why take this intermediate step if the conclusion is the same? Unless of course, you don't believe, then that's an eternity in hell, regardless of what good or bad a person you are. I wonder why we never hear or see any instances like this show portrays, don't get me wrong, I still enjoy this show, even though I'm now an atheist, but still, when I re-watch this show, I hear statements and such that just make me think the statement through logically.
Chris, I don't want to answer all of your questions, as I believe the Bible encourages us to continuously seek out answers for ourselves, but I would like to offer my thoughts on a few of them. The mortal life is an opportunity to experience (or "find") God, without Him being an immediately tangible presence in our lives. God wants us to choose Him because we want to do so, not because we feel like there is no other choice. Also, too often Hell is associated with the word "punishment" when in reality "consequence" is a more accurate portrayal of why a person ends up in Hell. God doesn't "send" people there to be vindictive, but rather He "allows" people to go there, because that was their choice. Plus, there is Psalm 139 which contains the line "If I make my bed in Sheol (the land of the dead [hell]) THERE YOU ARE (emphasis mine)." I can't speak for you, but that one line has cost me several hours of thought about what hell is, and what it isn't. Believer or not, the Bible, if read with purpose, is quite the literary experience. (Imagine how many religious problems would cease to exist if every believer read the Bible with purpose.)

Why do I need to spend my life looking for a god, that I have zero evidence to even suppose he/she/it exists or for the biblical God, a he (a male for absolutely no reason, unless you take into consideration God was created by men who viewed women inferior, so God had to be male), who is so determined to be found, but makes it dang near impossible, unless you predispose yourself to thinking you found him. For example, people who believe in ghosts are more predisposed to believe they've encountered them. Well, God is ultimately responsible for someone going to hell, so... Okay, I make the choice, right now, to not go to hell... but I bet, if your god really exists as described in the bible, I'm going there anyway against my will, because I don't believe. I personally sat the bible down after I started reading it, actually, I almost threw it across the room, but nevertheless in disgust... but it was my dad's old bible, so I didn't want to damage it further, since it's rather old already.

God has created everything..in Gods eye no one is inferior..we all have a unique talent God has given..mine is drawing,being a little wise,singing, making others laugh,great with babies..and im a 13 year old boy who probably doesnt know much about God..but i will soon see the truth about his word rather than hearing what other ppl have to say...God has created man kind in his own image..the bible was created by God, no man has wrote it..ive heard angels..there voices..i kinda thought it was just my imagination, but someone told me it wasnt..again there is only ONE TRUE God and that is our God..he is your God, doesnt matter if you believe in him or not..he is your heavenly father, and loved you more than your family ever did..something happened to me weeks ago...i was praying and praying..and i was being very honest infront of our lord, then i heard..a foggy noises..and a horn...the domeone that i said earlier doing this text..is that it was jesus, because i was praying for the truth of God and jesus..God exist and his love for us is very overwhelming that we cry...how about you do the same thing i did..he is always listening and soon he will answer..but patience is the key

Because God always takes all pain and turns it into something better. Even when we can't see it at the moment or when we don't understand it or why.
