Nejočekávanější projekt Pražského jara k Roku české hudby - Libuše

Stěžejním počinem, kterým Pražské jaro oslaví 200 let od narození Bedřicha Smetany, bude koncertní uvedení slavnostní opery Libuše. Nastudování velkolepé fresky o mytické kněžně, manželce Přemysla Oráče a věštkyni, která předpověděla slávu Prahy, se ujme dirigent Jakub Hrůša. Na dvou slavnostních večerech 28. a 30. května v Rudolfinu povede soubor špičkových sólistů v čele s Kateřinou Kněžíkovou a Adamem Plachetkou, Pražský filharmonický sbor a Českou filharmonii.

The flagship event of the Prague Spring Festival, which will celebrate 200 years since the birth of Bedřich Smetana, will be a concert performance of the festive opera Libuše. Conductor Jakub Hrůša will take on the staging of the magnificent fresco about the mythical princess, wife of Přemysl Oráč and the oracle who foretold the glory of Prague. On two gala evenings on 28 and 30 May at the Rudolfinum, he will lead an ensemble of top soloists led by Kateřina Kněžíková and Adam Plachetka, the Prague Philharmonic Choir and the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra.
