The only anime film I've watched multiple times and it gets me teary eyed every time. Gintama is probably the most overlooked shonen series when it comes to western audiences. Masterpiece of a film, and a very good amv doing it justice.
Yeah, most people can't get through the 30-ish challenge of Gintama. I don't remember what hooked me back then, but, I really am glad I got to find this masterpiece really
true, when i saw Otae-san with the White Plague and Gintoki managed to kill his own self (when he became the enemy), it was like one of saddest scenes in anime movies that's I've already watched

Now I'm in episode 267 (and I watched this movie 10 hours ago and it was amazing 10/10 in my opinion)
This is how you make an anime movie. Gather all the hero in one place and make them unleash all the power they could show. Even though we usually see those said hero as bunch of Moron. They are all badass fighter here. Seeing them effortlessly slice through the crowd is amazing

I cried too and the secne in the hospital with otae san and sa chan it really made me emotional like crazy cos i love otae san but then gintoki showed up and i started laughing and at the same time wiping my tears
@@VanDerDeckken It's completely normal to cry when something affects you, it's not pathetic it just shows your sensitivity and also that the show that made you cry is a great&emotional show. You can go troll and be insensitive elsewhere.
Damn, the artstyle, the plot, spyair's voice in the background while everyone's in a war, sougo & gura's long hair,Zurasugi, buff eli, otae's tears, beautiful shinpachi, past joui members' helping Gintoki, kfc, toshi's hair, granpa madao and manly catherine, chin-san & many moore is literally the reason why this is my fave anime movie. Just gonna wait until the last movie is out. GINTAMA W/ DOES & SPYAIR ARE BEAST.

BeWaRe Jay Which the movie is the final arc. And putting it in movie format is a million times better then a tv format. Animation will be better (something that has gotten pretty bad lately). Plus Gintama movies always do well in Japans box office
Agreed. They troll about specials, movies etc. Sometimes they take it seriously, sometimes they don't. Thank you Soraichi the GOD for making this series. Forever will it be on the troll genre
What i love about gintama is how perfectly they execute openings/endings. Like they match up the lyrics/music with the actual scenes and plot and i love it...no one else rly does that or those little summary bits at the end of each arc
2:39 when you saw that in theatre that's give you chill. Every main supporting character is in that frame except madao. Who appear slightly before that

The scene when otae was in the hospital. I teared up. And the scene where gintoki was sent to the past. And only kagura and shin remembers who he is. Frickin saaad. 😓
Gintama is quite honestly Great. It's Humor surpasses that of many anime but it can also make you start crying for a few seconds in only 1 or 2 episodes time. The stories, they might be funny as hell at the begining but in the end of most of them it still makes you shed a tear it keeps happening but you expect it not to... yet it did.. This is why gintama is so amazing.

Honestly First time i watch Gintama was Gintama Movie, Yorozuya Eien Nare Instant in Love with Gintama, and now whole series Gintama is the best show i've ever watch, ever.
Gintama is the only anime where all of it's films are considered as top tier and none of them are shameless cash grabs. So happy that it's the home of Gundam that took in Gintama.
I was already in tears when Yorozuya and Shinsengumi run together, fighting in duos (we had bros in law, okikagu and Gintoki with Hijikata) but man, when Shinsengumi made a boost throw for the Yorozuya - proud to say I was weeping like a baby😭❤️
