I know this is late to the party GameRiot, But every punch should come AFTER a jab. EVERYTHING you set up works off the set up jab and THEN a power punch. You will land far more punches and combos when you first set them up with a quick, lead hand jab and then a few power punches. And for god's sake, hit where he ISN'T blocking, lol. You'll be a far more effective fighter if you 1 manage stamina, 2. throw a leading hand jab 3. follow that with 2 or 3 heavy punches 4. defense after attacking and move back out. That's basic day one training camp stuff for beginners. I hope you see this and it helps Game, love watching ur vids. Your personality is great.
One thing they absolutely have to add in the game is being able to change weight classes (more than once) in career mode. It's crazy that it isn't a feature. Most legendary boxers other than HWs won in multiple weight classes. It would be 100% more immersive.

They said awhile ago that you can move up 1 weight & down 1. So if you’re a middleweight you can go down to welterweight & up to light heavyweight.

No he uses both hands jst all power punches and I see he even sees the guy blocking his face and still strikes high
@splashking3137 to be fair the AI reads your inputs and even if they're blocking high and you go low, they will block low anyway. So at that point might as well just go high and hope you punch through their blocks

I enjoy watching you play these types of games, Scott! Game seems pretty good overall, animations are a bit odd and the boxer audio sounds more like a commentator doing a voice over in another room but, still fun to watch.

I got it for ps5, love what I've played so far, only things I wish you could do is change weight classes after winning all the belts in one weight class, to be a true pfp champion and I'd like to see a major difference between regular punches and heymakers
If you play on undisputed it’s much better. The opponent actually fight back for a start. You have to be technical. Beats all the button mashing combat games I’ve played before this.
Yea and they have good stamina I watched a couple times his ai lost damn near all his stamina n two punches and playing on undisputed is great for career they need to revamp the stamina especially for online it’s literally no reason someone can throw power punches the whole fight and have more stamina than me (I only threw 41 in 8 rounds and he threw literally 144) needs to be fixed

I noticed that when you throw right crosses it looks like you hit with your elbow. I'm guessing the animation needs tweaking 😂😂😂
How does this stack up to Fight Night mate? Idk if youve ever played that series, but i still love to boot up my old console to get in the ring every now and then. Still blows the ufc series out of the water imo, so im curious if this is a serious contender, or just another cash grab like others have said.

Its a new character , and he picked the absolute worst punch style, so it does look slow and awkward. The other styles look alot more faster, and as for imitating other things such as footwork, posture, hand placement and rythym, this game is leauges above fight night.

The game is fun like fight night champion? Someone cam confirm me? Im not buying until receive some feedbacks. Watching the gameplay i could see some punches passing through the hands or the body (no hit) but this is affecting the gameplay?

Use your reach set your power punches up with jabs and straights. Don’t try to throw in a phone booth and try timing your punches better. As for the game can’t wait pre ordered. Everyone’s got a complaint but this more real than fight night is for sure movement punching mechanic/technique. I seen a fighter move his head off center and step around for a clean hook never seen that in fight night. Haters just don’t buy it and wait for EA 😂😂.

Why are you trying to get through their blocking? If they have their arms up go for body. When they are blocking body punches go for head.
no just no! They cannot block forever! Tire them out and remove blocking from their toolkit.

most interesting for career Mode is for me if the Boxers getting old like in EA and you had 50 year old washed up Legend who getting Koed in 1 Round, or do they retire now and new good young Boxers will follow now!?

That was the worst point at Career Mode in early access and ruin the Late Game. Normaly the own Boxer is getting old, is getting slower and washed up and you need to go hell for fighting the younger AI Fighters

Is the boxing even good in that game? Last one I played was ufc 3, tried it for about 10 minutes then uninstalled it. Punching was so awkward and sluggish, even when playing as an old time boxer
