I love your videos. I actually was at Cora Cora last month and could not agree more that the island is magical. The crystal clear calm waters and white sand are a sight to see. Regarding the cocktail menu, They did add a section with signature cocktails that are very beachy and island inspired. I agree their destination dining experience is where they shine. We did their beach cabana dinner and it was spectacular. With housekeeping we stayed at two different rooms types and noticed a difference. We noticed that in the first villa-The overwater villa, the housekeeping was way better and felt more intentional. The villa was at the beginning of the jetty by the way. When we moved to an overwater villa with a pool towards the end of the jetty, we felt housekeeping declined a bit. They forgot to refill toliet paper once and would take longer to refill the mini bar. The staff were more than happy to rectify and bring us what we needed though With our freedom coach, it did feel like a bulter service to us. Sometimes we would ask reception a quick question and they would always direct it to our freedom coach. Our coach would also check in with us often during breakfast to see how we were doing to coordinate things. This is our first experience with this kind of service and in the Maldives though so not sure what to compare it to. One negative is they no longer offer the free 45 minute spa treatment if you are there over four nights. This was very upsetting to find out. Ended up doing a spa service anyways and it was wonderful. I would recommend this resort especially if you take advantage of the app like you said. The lagoon is truly beautiful and the staff were very friendly. I asked if I can purchase their table book and they delivered a new one for free to my room to take home which was so nice. I do agree that they should up their mini bar and honestly include more services for the price/being all inclusive. I will definitely be back to the maldives and would love to try other resorts. If you have your favorite all inclusive recommendations. Let me know ❤
Hey Daris!! Thanks so much for your amazing comment and feedback on the hotel- it's always so great to see what other people experienced. I'm so glad you had a better experience with the freedom coach than we did- we were honestly quite confused so I'm glad to see they are making changes there. Really a bummer to hear they are limiting the benefits on the AI in terms of the massage :(. Where many hotels are increasing their inclusions, it seems Cora Cora may be falling behind in that area. Overall though it sounds like you had an amazing time which is awesome!! Maldives is really an amazing place- there are so many fabulous all inclusive properties. Top 3 I'd say so far are OZEN Maadhoo, JA Manafaru's AI plan and Pullman. If you need any help or have any questions don't hesitate to reach out!!
Hi there! thanks so much for your comment! There are some amazing properties that are all inclusive in every budget. Feel free to send me an email (team@voyagerguru.com) with your budget and dates and I can recommend my favorite properties within that budget! xx, Maren
Hey there! Thanks for reaching out! We have not yet been to Sangeli, but I can say emerald is the highest end of the three. Ultimately I think it’ll come down to budget - feel free to email me directly and I can help you decide based on your needs :) team@voyagerguru.com
I love all your videos I am trying to decide which all inclusive hotel for Maldives . Just a ? What factors were in play for the 3 star room rating? I wanted to know because it would influence my decision. Thank you
Hi Angela! Thanks for your comment - there are so many amazing hotels in the Maldives, it’s hard to choose! Happy to help :). Cora Cora is a “new” property but they took over a hotel that’s been there a long time. They didn’t really make any fundamental changes to the villas so some of the issues we experienced: gaps in the doors so mosquitos come in and the air doesn’t stay cold, the AC didn’t work in 2 of the rooms, there are a lot of villas really close to the staff areas and it can be SUPER loud at meal times and sports game times. They also had some issues with electrical and the toilet rooms at the beach villas are all outside with no fan aka mosquito room. so overall, we were disappointed that they called it a full renovation when they didn’t fix some fundamental issues. It’s a beautiful island and beautiful beach so if they are running a good deal, it’s worth considering if you do a water villa :). If you need any help, feel free to shoot us an email at team@voyagerguru.com
You guys are so lovely. I really enjoy your videos. Thank you so much for this review. I thought Cora Cora was completely new. The fact that it is not puts me off a little bit, as well as the fact, that the island looks very crowded in terms of buildings from your drone shots. I am not so sure anymore if Cora Cora would be our choice. Is there another AI property you can suggest?
Thank you so much for your comment!! Yea for sure it's not a new hotel at all - it does have a beautiful beach and the water is so calm, but the buildings are older and I would recommend the water villas if you do plan to go there. In terms of other AI properties, we love the OZEN properties. Pullman is also a fantastic hotel that has incredible inclusions. Baglioni could be a could choice, though they have less things included but their food is super high quality and the resort is beautiful. If you need any help, feel free to email me at team@voyagerguru.com! xx, Maren
I know this video is not about the Dominican Republic but I wanted to thank you because thanks to your channel, tourism in the Dominican Republic, my country, increases a lot 💗
Hello guys thank you for the review. How many days do you recommend to stay in Maldives? Hope you come to Mexico and review the all inclusive resorts we have in Cancun…😊 I think you will surprise because our service is top
Hi! We love Mexico, and Cancun actually, some of our favorite hotels are there, but a lot of that travel was before we started our travel blogging, so we're certainly over due for a visit! As far as length of stay, it really depends. If you're coming from Mexico, I would say a week minimum because of the travel time. However, if you're combining it with something else, maybe a visit to Southeast Asia or Sri Lanka, India, Singapore, etc, then you can also turn it into a shorter 3-5 night stay, as a part of that trip. I would say the ideal length is usually 10 days, but like anywhere obviously you can stay as long as you want! It is different from costal areas like Mexico, or even Caribbean islands in that once you're on a resort, really the only access you have to anything is through that resort, so it also really depends on what type of person you are, and what you enjoy. If you have additional questions, feel free to DM us on instagram or email us at team@voyagerguru.com.
Hey Ashley, sorry to hear that. We are always trying to improve the quality across our videos, so it's particularly disappointing to hear we took a step backwards for you on a newer video. Each room is different so it's really hard to get consistent sound across every location. We'll do are best to improve in the future!

Hey! We are planning to go to maldives for two weeks and are in between cora cora, oblu sangeli and emerald spa resort. Which one would you recommend?
