Plot:
Durell and LeeJohn are best friends and bumbling petty criminals. When told they have one week to pay a $17,000 debt or Durell will lose his son, they come up with a desperate scheme to rob their neighborhood church. Instead, they end up spending the night in the presence of the Lord and are forced to deal with much more than they bargained for.

This movie came out when i was in the 8th grade. Even my music teacher went to go see it, and when he came back, he asked the students who'd seen it, what the message of the story was. First Sunday will forever be a certified hood classic for me! It looked like it must have been so much fun to film, especially with Katt Williams on the set! I wonder if it really was in his contract to only film with Rickey Smiley if he's wearing a dress in it 👀👀👀
