The Woolly Mammoth is essentially a silicon Fuzz Face, with biasing and tone control optimized for bass. The Pinch control is particularly innovative, and adjusts the amount of feedback from the 2nd to the 1st transistor. I've modded several different pedals that use a basic Fuzz Face "engine" to have something like the Pinch control. But note that more *normal* Fuzz Face sounds can be obtained from the Mammoth by reducing how much "Pinch" is used.
