I couldn’t agree more about the slower morning sentiment setting you up well for the day. I spent years getting up at 5 am and out to the gym, rush home dog walk, shower, coffee, breakfast start work 9 am. It was STRESSFUL! I’ve not done this for 6 month and I feel mentally and physically so much better.
I'm so glad you shared this on your channel. Many people don't identify the temporary hormonal impacts in periods of time; the real impacts of PMS. It even happens after menopause. Someone once said, women only have one week of pure clarity per monthand that's the week ur actually having it; the 1st week thereaftrer, the symptoms are mild; slight confusion, but not too much, 2nd week, skin and hair doesn't feel/work right and some easy irritation; 3rd week, full blown hysteria; suspicious, weighty sensitivity, strong body scents, skin abrasions out of nowhere; slight ailments etc. 4th week ur having it and cycle ends. But when people don't identify this; they think they're getting sick; go to hospital looking for medication; think their health is failing, etc. You could go "crazy" if you don't identify it. I find that when ur mind is cognizant of it; the symptoms lessen; mind controls everything. And it doesn't go away after menopause; u still have hormonal changes, but it's also a different type of experience you have a full blown hormonal change one.specific week of the month; then after some time, THAT week changes to another week; just stay mindful and healthy.
yes i have a tracking app and writing down my emotions for a few months was what made me notice my personal cycle and now i know (usually) when im going to get certain kinds of thoughts and its so helpful!

Slow morning are my favorite! I've always been jealous of morning people but mostly because I'm SUCH a grumpy morning person, it takes me an hour after waking to feel fully awake and sometimes coffee doesn't help either! I think it's so easy to feel like you didn't do enough but I always try to remind myself it doesn't matter how you got up the mountain, or how long it took you, just that you got there!
Cari, i just wanted to say something about your moment about “not having enough time”… I think you enjoy living so much it gives you anxiety to not be able to live each moment fully. Which is very beautiful! I think it’s a perspective change from “I’m so anxious I’m running out of time” to “I love my life so much my day was great and tomorrow will be too” does that make sense? You have such a beautiful disposition and it’s inspiring. You have really mastered “romanticizing your life” lol Anyway I hope you have a wonderful day and continue to enjoy your slow mornings and your lovely life!
I work from home and as someone who also has a habit of waking up at 5:30 or 6 am and jumping into work almost immediately, this is the perfect motivation/ inspiration for me to try to slow down in the mornings. Now if I can also learn to take breaks during the workday I'd be set.

I really loved this video 💜 This past week or two I've really been focusing on getting back into my morning and evening routines, and spending my time more wisely on myself, rather than jumping into the business of the work and the day. I did a social media detox by deleting socials off my phone, which has gone much better than I thought and I have not had the urge to redownload the apps yet. Thank you for this video, Cari! I don't know when it happened, but going out alone makes me anxious for some reason. It's like, what if I panic and no one will help me? I never realized that being in a hurry makes me more nervous. Just like earlier, I was walking so fast to the store, and I slowed down, and it just made me less anxious. I never wanted to have slow mornings until now.

This was definitely relaxing and inspiring. I think one thing this made me remember to actually work on is having a good morning, and to start doing things earlier rather than later because then I do have that feeling of “I wasted my morning” when I get a late start to my day. Btw, do you often use your phone to film especially while out and about for ease or do you ever use your camera too?

My Sunday mornings are reserved for Cari vlogs, it's a routine I set for myself because they make me relax and they bring me joy :) This morning I made pancakes and made new coffee (a gift from Vietnam) and sat down to watch - only for you to start your video with a breakfast slow morning routine. I really loved this video 💜 This past week or two I've really been focusing on getting back into my morning and evening routines, and spending my time more wisely on myself, rather than jumping into the business of the work and the day. I did a social media detox by deleting socials off my phone, which has gone much better than I thought and I have not had the urge to redownload the apps yet. I like your reminder that not all days will be good days and that's completely okay. 😄💜

I’m a twin and both my sister and I have red hair, and the Parent Trap was the perfect vibe when it came out and I was about the same ages as the girls in that movie. That movie may have also inspired us to go to summer camp for the first time.

Thank you for this video, Cari! I don't know when it happened, but going out alone makes me anxious for some reason. It's like, what if I panic and no one will help me? I never realized that being in a hurry makes me more nervous. Just like earlier, I was walking so fast to the store, and I slowed down, and it just made me less anxious. I never wanted to have slow mornings until now.
I loved the original movie with Haley Mills when I was a kid. I wish they had an outdoor elevator like that in S.F. I could visit my grandsons.

This was definitely relaxing and inspiring. I think one thing this made me remember to actually work on is having a good morning, and to start doing things earlier rather than later because then I do have that feeling of “I wasted my morning” when I get a late start to my day.
Btw, do you often use your phone to film especially while out and about for ease or do you ever use your camera too?

it will still be pretty cold! here's a vlog from that time last march and i was in sweaters and a heavy coat but not really a puffer!
