There's something oddly charming about 2 speedrunners trying to do the hard speedrun strat then going "oh, we can just do it the normal easier way".
As funny as it is, it's pretty impressive how efficient Simple and Cheese can be just because they have such innate knowledge of the game

All these years of pause buffer cheating has finally paid off bigly. Simpleflips can determine the exact location of Mario in the pause camera, even while guiding another player. What a great entertainer he is.
I am so happy the Simply cheatin' exposed video got a little cameo.

So they had to add the course themes and enter stage sound effect in editing since we couldn't hear the game audio when simple wasn't playing. I almost didn't notice. That's a lot of work!

He HAS played collab blindfolded before, around two or three years ago for a charity event iirc.
@@DrSabot-A in this video simpleflips himself said this is the first time he has played blindfolded and he has only ever guided somebody blindfolded before, maybe in this charity event he didn’t actually play blindfolded and just guided somebody. Please note I have not seen this event so this is speculation.

This was one of the things I was there for during simple's event. I loved this event the most I think and was the most excited for this to become a video.
My favorite thing about this is how careful Cheese is compared to how reckless Simple is. Very Yin and Yang where Simple has the biggest hubris and Cheese encompasses everything that is The Turtle and Hare. (Slow and steady)

It's impressive that he ALMOST managed to do cannonless blindfolded.
Simple guiding Cheese was near perfect, and Simple guiding HIMSELF occasionally just for fun was actually nutty. Also, I can't discount Cheese, for his first time he was lovely at this.
